In
the genetic labs on Romulus a hybrid was developed to enhance telepathic
and psionic skills by merging DNA from both a Romulan and Betazoid
hosts. These hybrids were designed for combat, infiltration and an
extended life span, however due to a lack of support within the Romulan
Senate the project was terminated. The hybrids were to be terminated as
well, but because of their heightened abilities they were aware of the
intent to terminate them and a battle ensued and a few managed to
escape, to whereabouts unknown... After defecting to the Federation, he was immediately recruited by Omega Sector and began training for integration into Starfleet for the purpose of taking on missions for Omega Sector. The commissioned rank of Captain was awarded when training was completed, and the command of USS EXPLORER NCC-74659. After completing many successful missions for Omega Sector, EXPLORER has undergone numerous upgrades, however it's believed the vessel has become sentient and will not allow any other entity to command it other than Captain Arayuss. He was then promoted to Rear Admiral and became Judge Advocate General of Gamma Fleet, followed by a promotion to Vice Admiral and became Deputy Commander in Chief. On 238210.28, he was promoted to Admiral and became the Commander in Chief when Admiral Jaeson A. Skyner transferred rank and title over to him and returned to Starfleet Command. EXPLORER is normally docked at Omega Base, but on occasion has vanished at the call of the only entity that it will allow to command it, and take on tasks that neither Starfleet or even Omega Sector are aware of. |
