Bridge - Deck 1

James was just as perplexed as the Ops Officer was by what he reported. The XO never heard of there being any vessel within Starfleet with the capability of doing that, but he did hear about the legendary return of Explorer and that it was immediately intergrated into Omega Sector for intelligence gathering on it's whereabouts. This just proved that there was obviously something secretive about that vessel's abilities.

Cmdr Kee: I'm not sure what to tell you, Lieutenant. But with Explorer here with us, our odds of success just increased. How's it going with all the returning personnel, and what are our casualties if any?

The XO waited on the Ops Officer's reply, with a sunken feeling in his stomach that they would soon be learning who they lost to the Deltaurans while everyone was escaping Oriskany. Whoever they did lose, when the time came, they would be avenged.

Michael did as Cmdr Kee ordered and retrieved the list of officers and crewmen that were lost during the evacuation to escape the invading Deltaurans. As the Lieutenant was completing the task, a message came in from Capt Reich.

Lt. Boffi: Commander, incoming message from the Captain.

He immediately put it through so Cmdr Kee could hear it.

Capt Reich: Mr. Kee, I'm on my way back over with Dr. Jovic and Mr. Windsor. Could you please have Mr. Boffi meet us in the Transporter Room? I have a special assignment for him upon my arrival.

The Ops Officer looked towards Cmdr Kee and wondered what the special assignment could be. Michael waited to be dismissed from the Bridge so he could meet the Captain in the Transporter Room as he was instructed.

James was relieved to hear the Captain was on his way back with Dr. Jovic, but he wondered why he was bringing the child survivor from the Mariposa back with them. Perhaps that is what the special assignment had to do with.

Cmdr Kee: Mr. Boffi, go ahead and meet Captain Reich, Dr. Jovic, and Mr. Windsor in the Transporter Room. I'll look over the casualty list and bring it to the Captain's attention when he arrives on the Bridge.

The XO went over the list as Lt. Boffi left the Bridge and his heart sank at the amount of names he saw on the list of people that lost their lives to the Deltauran invasion of their vessel.

Michaelangelo relinquished his station to a junior officer that was available and exited the Bridge and took the Turbolift to the Transporter Room the Captain, Dr. Jovic, and Alex would be arriving in. As soon as Mike arrived, he stood ready to welcome the CO, Doctor, and his new little friend.

Lt. Boffi: The Captain is on his way over with Dr. Jovic and the kid we rescued off the Mariposa. Captain Reich asked that I be here when they arrived.

The Transporter Operator looked over to Lt. Boffi and nodded, accepting his reasoning for being present. Together they waited on the arrival of Capt Reich, Dr. Jovic, and Alex Windsor.

Transporter Room - Deck 8

Capt Reich, Dr. Jovic, and the boy materialized in the Transporter Room of Oriskany. Alexander was very happy to see Lt. Boffi standing there with the Transporter Operator. He knew the Lieutenant had duties, but hopefully they would have time to enjoy more time on the Holodeck together again.

Alex Windsor: Hey Michaelangelo! Look, I'm back!

Alexander stood there smiling at Lt. Boffi, hoping the Ops Officer was as pleased to see him as he was to see the Lieutenant. If all went well, they would be having fun together again sometime soon.

Sean looked at the Lieutenant as he stepped off the Transporter Pad with the Doctor and half-smiled.

Capt Reich: Mr. Boffi, are you ready for what is about to happen? I know that I'm not, and would like to assemble the senior officers in about an hour to have a meeting.

The Captain knew that this was going to put off the reunion of Mr. Boffi and Alexander, but he also knew that this was a mission of life and death. He then looked at the Doctor.

Capt Reich: Dragana, would you like to get something to eat, cause I know that I'm famished, and would like to go to my quarters to think about things for a minute.

Sean stood there, and sighed a little. There was a lot going on, and he was bounced up the chain way too fast. He knew that he was responsible for all the lives that were under his command, and he was at a loss of what to do.

Michael smiled at Alexander when he heard the boy's excitement. He quickly returned to a serious manner when Capt Reich gave him orders to assemble the senior staff.

Lt. Boffi: I'll do my best to be ready, Captain. I'll get the senior staff together in the Observation Lounge in an hour.

The Lieutenant looked over towards Alexander as he continued...

Lt. Boffi: Is there something specific you'd like me to do with Alexander, Sir?

As Mike waited on the Captain's reply, he nodded at Alex to acknowledge that they would do something fun when the time permitted. The Ops Officer knew the Holodecks were functional and they would be able to continue the fun they were having while they were aboard Infiniti.

Sean looked at the Lieutenant. He wasn't sure how to answer that question.

Capt Reich: I did say that he could stay in my quarters. So, if you wanted to take him there, and make sure he knew how everything operated so that he is comfortable, that would be okay. Other than that, I don't know. I have nothing planned for the next hour till the staff meeting, so you could even take him to the Holodeck if you so desired.

The Captain hoped that the answer would be satisfactory. He didn't know what else to say, so he was sure that Lt. Boffi could entertain Alexander.

Capt Reich: Should anything else come up, I'll be on the Bridge.

Sean hadn't been on the Bridge that much since becoming Captain, and he felt that at this time it was his place due to the fact that he was helping to fight the Deltaurans when Capt Harris met her untimely demise.

Dr. Jovic took a quick look at Capt Reich and grabbed his arm before he could take a step out of the Transporter Room. She wasn't going to let him go straight to the Bridge without getting something to eat first.

Lt. Commander Jovic: Excuse me, Captain. But you need to get something to eat before you go up to the Bridge, so I'll be escorting you to your quarters so you can follow my strict medical advice.

She looked over at Lt. Boffi and Alexander.

Lt. Commander Jovic: I'm sure they can find something to occupy themselves in the meantime.

With the stearn look of a Romulan, Dr. Jovic took Capt Reich by the arm and lead him out of the Transporter Room. They walked together towards his quarters, acknowledging members of the crew that saw them on their way there.

Corridor - Deck 8

Sean felt that he was being dragged to his quarters, cause the Doctor was walking awfully fast. He didn't mind though, eating would probably be a good idea, and he was feeling a little hungry.

Capt Reich: Doc, you know I'm only going to eat cause you could relieve me of my command for not following your orders, but could we walk a little slower perhaps?

The CO was smiling when he said this, cause the Doc also knew that he hadn't eaten in a while, but that wasn't foremost on his mind. Sean also knew that he was actually going to be able to have a little peace and quiet with only Dragana in his presence, and that also brought a little smile to his face.
