As Ulric was monitoring all that was going on while he was on the Bridge, the Commander heard the call from Capt Bennet who was down in Sickbay! The First Officer immediately spoke aloud to the Chief Operations Officer, Ens Ramius!
Cmdr Sladek:
Mr. Ramius, please hail Sutherland as the Captain would like to speak to Admiral Arayuss and have the response sent to Captain Bennet in Sickbay!
The Commander remained in his seat as he carried out the Captains orders. Tapping his Combadge, Ulric informed Capt Bennet of what he had done.
Cmdr Sladek:
Sladek to Bennet! Aye-aye, Captain! Your orders have been carried out, Ensign Ramius will be contacting Sutherland and have the response from Admiral Arayuss sent down to Sickbay!
The XO sat back in his chair and waited for Ens Ramius to do what he was ordered. Ulric wondered what the Admiral was going to say regarding the Xenomorph embryos that were removed from Lt. JG Kaaha’s parents. The Commander knew how dangerous those creatures were, so if it were left up to him, Ulric would have them destroyed…immediately! _________________

As the Captain was waiting in Sickbay for Adm Arayuss to appear on the monitor on the wall of the Medical Area on Deck 8, the Admiral’s youthful appearance suddenly appeared with a look of concern on his face.
Adm Arayuss:
Captain Bennet, how can I help you?
Claire immediately walked over to the monitor and spoke to the Admiral in order to get him up to speed on what was happening with Capt Sull and the Xenomorph embryos that were removed from Mr. and Mrs. Orte, the parents of Lt. JG Kaaha.
Capt Bennet:
Admiral Arayuss, thank you for taking my hail. Captain Sull is out of surgery and she’s expected to make a full recovery, in time. But, the main reason for my call is…my Chief Security/Tactical Officer, Lieutenant Kaaha Charrothe’s parents were transported from the power facility by New Rakantha directly to Sickbay, which is where I am now, and our Doctor removed Xenomorph embryos from both of his parents. Right now they’re both inside stasis containers, under a Level Ten Forcefield. I’ve conferred with my Science Officer, Lieutenant Aurelius and he suggested I contact you in regard to what we should do with them. Would you like them brought back to the Specialized Scientific Laboratories aboard Starbase 34 or should I have them destroyed, Sir?
The CO stood there and nervously waited for what the CinC of Gamma Fleet was going to order to be done with the Xenomorph embryos. Claire really hoped in her heart the Admiral would order the embryos destroyed. The Captain truly feared if they got loose, it would spell certain disaster for the people living aboard SB34. There were more than enough ducts and Jefferies Tubes throughout the base that would make finding the Xenomorphs impossible! Capt Bennet did not want to be responsible for bringing on that kind of horror to the Starbase. So if Adm Arayuss wanted them for the Specialized Science Laboratories, it would be on his shoulders, not the Captain’s. _________________

Charrothe shook himself back to reality after watching his mother and step-father resting after their surgery. The Lieutenant JG was so filled with joy that his family survived the Xenomorph outbreak on New Bajor and especially thankful to Dr. Edison for saving the lives of his parents from becoming victims of the birthing process, notorious by the Chestbursters. Tapping his Combadge, Charrothe told Eureka’s Computer to transfer his brother’s call from Hold to where he was standing in Sickbay.
Lt. JG Kaaha:
Computer, transfer the channel Orte Jerdan is on to my location.
Eureka-Com:
Acknowledged.
Lt. JG Kaaha:
Jerdan! Charrothe here! Mom and Dad have been beamed up to Eureka and their safe! We owe their lives to Dr. Edison who removed embryos from both of them! They’re both safe now, resting in Sickbay! I’m standing between their Biobeds, watching them sleep! As soon as you’re done down there, we’ll transport you up here so we can all be together!
The Chief Sec/Tac Officer remained where he was and waited on a reply from his younger sibling. Charrothe knew Jerdan would be extremely happy to hear that their parents survived their ordeal. The Lieutenant JG could hardly wait for his entire family to be aboard Eureka, where they would be safe. That is, after Capt Bennet had the Xenomorph embryos complete obliterated! Providing the Admiral did not want them saved for the Specialized Scientific Laboratories aboard SB34. _________________

As the Captain was waiting to hear what Charrothe’s brother Jerdan had to say about their parents being safely aboard Eureka, the Admiral responded to Claire’s status report on the Xenomorph embryos!
Adm Arayuss:
Captain, you have my full support to destroy those things at your earliest convenience! Use whatever means you deem necessary! I do not even want their remains aboard Starbase 34! As you may know, dematerializing them with a Phaser is useless, so find another way to get rid of them. The sooner they are off Eureka, the safer we will all be. Arayuss out!
Claire almost gasped with relief when she heard was the Admiral had to say! This was the third best news she got today, first being Capt Sull was going to survive and second, Charrothe’s parents being rescued from certain doom on the planet below. Looking over towards Dr. Edison and Lt. Aurelius, the Captain spoke to both of them as they stood there looking back at her.
Capt Bennet:
Well there you have it, Gentlemen. These things are going to be extinguished immediately.
Tapping her Combadge, the Captain called to Ens Ramius on the Bridge.
Capt Bennet:
Bennet to Ensign Ramius! Lock onto the two stasis containers in Sickbay that have my Combadge signal and beam them out into space with a wide dispersal! I don’t want those creatures in there to ever harm anyone again! Make it so, Marko!
The CO removed her Combadge and placed it on the top of the stasis container at the foot of Mrs. Orte’s Biobed and went over to the stasis container at the foot of Mr. Orte’s Biobed and moved it so it was beside the other container. That way the Chief Ops Officer wouldn’t have to worry about scanning for the two of them together with them being over a meter apart. Claire realized she could’ve just grabbed a Combadge from either Dr. Edison, Lt. Aurelius or Lt. JG Kaaha and just told Ens Ramius to lock onto one of their Combadges as well. But then they would both need to go to the Quartermaster and get issued another one. Capt Bennet felt like this was revenge for the death of her younger brother, Rane. Claire figured it would feel very satisfying after the embryos were destroyed, she just needed to patiently wait for Marko to remove these fucking things from Eureka! _________________

As soon as Marko heard the Captain’s order, the Ensign immediately went to work on beaming the stasis containers out of Sickbay and spreading their molecules in a wide dispersal pattern in space.
Ens Ramius:
Aye, Captain! Working on it right now, Ma’am!
Not waiting a single second longer, Marko locked onto the Captain’s Combadge and the two containers beneath it and transported them out into space in a dispersal pattern that would never allow the creatures to exist again. With the task being complete, the Ensign called down to Capt Bennet to make sure all was well in Sickbay.
Ens Ramius:
They’re destroyed, Captain! Those two creatures will never be able to harm anyone ever again, Ma’am! Do you need anything else, Captain Bennet?
The Chief Operations Officer waited to hear from Capt Bennet while he sat at his station on the Bridge. Marko wondered how his friend Charrothe was doing with his parents and hoped all was well with them. Looking over at Lt. Gutiérrez, the Ensign could see how bored Mateo was just sitting there with nothing to do but keep Eureka in a geosynchronous orbit above New Rakantha. Ens Ramius was glad he had things to do to keep him occupied. Marko just had to wait until his next task he was ordered to do by either Capt Bennet or Cmdr Sladek while the XO had the Bridge. _________________

As Claire watched the stasis chambers dematerialize by being transported into space, she let out a sigh of relief. The Captain was quiet pleased Adm Arayuss didn’t want the embryos back on SB34 for testing. If just one of those things got loose, it would doom the entire Starbase! The only way out for the personnel, along with their families, would be to evacuate the whole base! Thus, leaving the entire Starbase unlivable with the only option being set it to self-destruct!
Capt Bennet:
Thank you, Marko! They’re gone!! Those damn things will never be a threat to anyone again!!!
Looking at the Doctor and the Chief Science Officer, the Captain continued…
Capt Bennet:
I’m sorry for my gloating, Gentlemen. But those things killed my little brother, Rane and I see no reason to allow any of those creatures to live. It’s just the way I see it and my viewpoint on Xenomorphs will never change. They’re basically the cockroaches of the galaxy that need to be exterminated out of existence.
The CO waited to hear back from Dr. Edison and Lt. Aurelius on what they thought about her reaction to the deaths of the Xenomorph embryos. Claire was also curious to hear back from Orte Jerdan after learning the great news about his parents surviving their ordeal. The Captain looked over at Charrothe and could see how he was just bursting at the seams as he waited to hear from his younger sibling down on the planet below, inside the ISSCV along with MCpt Lopez. _________________

When Charrothe heard the voice of Jerdan, the Lieutenant JG could tell his younger sibling was speaking with joy in his heart! This brought extreme happiness to Lt. JG Kaaha, knowing the news of their parents surviving a Xenomorph nest had to be reason for celebration.
Orte Jerdan:
Thank the Prophets! Oh Charrothe, you just made me the happiest kid on New Bajor right now! When Mother and Father wake up, tell them I got all the other children to safety and they’re getting beamed up to the ships in orbit! So far, Whitestar took forty and Oriskany took another forty, and there’s forty more waiting to get transported right now!
Smiling from ear to ear, the Lieutenant JG responded to his brother with joyous sound…
Lt. JG Kaaha:
You got it, Jerdan! As soon as they’re up, I’ll let them know you’re sticking it out on the planet and making sure all the other children in your charge are safely aboard a Starship before you come up here! They’re going to be really proud of you! Just like I am! Let me know if you need anything! We’ll keep an open channel to you!
The Chief Sec/Tac Officer looked over towards Capt Bennet to see if it was alright for them to keep the channel open between Eureka and Jerdan. Charrothe hoped he didn’t overstep his authority by telling Jerdan they would keep an open channel between his younger brother and Eureka. The Lieutenant JG also wondered if it was alright with MCpt Lopez, since this meant they would have to keep an open channel from the ISSCV as well. _________________

Marcus was disappointed the Xenomorph embryos couldn’t be saved for studying, but he understood why the Admiral and Capt Bennet felt the way they did about the creatures. It had to be terrible for the Captain to lose her younger brother, especially in the fashion in which Capt Bennet insinuated. Lt. Aurelius had no siblings, so he couldn’t image the loss that Capt Bennet felt. Being the type of person the Lieutenant was, he decided to keep his disappointment under wraps for now.
Lt. Aurelius:
I understand, Captain. If I lost a sibling to these creatures, I would want them exterminated as well. What’s done is done and that’s all there is, Ma’am. If I may ask, how is Captain Sull doing?
Looking towards the Captain and Dr. Edison, the Chief Science Officer waited to hear on the status of Eureka’s previous CO. Marcus wondered if she would ever recover and be back to her normal self again. The Lieutenant remembered the Doctor saying Capt Sull had a hemorrhagic stroke while they were on the Bridge. It appeared the previous CO was sleeping peacefully, so Lt. Aurelius didn’t want to disturb her by talking too loudly. Therefore Marcus stood there quietly observing Capt Sull as she slept. _________________
