David rose from his seat and stood by the Captain and examined the image himself.

Cmdr Calzada: You think someone could be trying to experiment with it on their own?

He waited for the CO to reply.

The CO responded without hesitation.

Capt Carpathia: That's exactly what I'm thinking, Number One.

He paused a moment, then reached a decision.

Capt Carpathia: Mr. Delgado, increase speed to Warp 8.

Without waiting for a response, he spoke to the staff in Engineering.

Capt Carpathia: Ellis...Joffee, this is the Captain. The timetable has changed, we're going to need that chamber sooner than we thought. Out.

He looked back at the OPS Officer and spoke.

Capt Carpathia: Scan that asteroid as we get closer, I want to know what's inside it.

He awaited the responses from his officers.

Al?jandro did as ordered and increased the speed of Infiniti to Warp 8. Bringing the ETA down to just under 3 hours.

Lt. Commander Delgado: Warp 8, Sir. ETA at current course and speed is just under 3 hours.

He maintained the course heading, awaiting further instructions.

William heard the Captain's orders and immediately went to work, focusing the long range sensors on that asteroid.

Lt. Trylon: Aye, Sir.

He was just as intrigued as the others to figure out who put Omega there inside that rock.

Lt. Joffee heard the Captain over the ship's intercom and then looked at Lt. Ellis.
Lt. Joffee: I wonder what happened? Why have we increased speed?

He waited for a response that would hopefully answer his inqueries.

Ellis heard the questions from Joffee and didn't quite have any answers for him but the obvious.

Lt. Ellis: I don't know, Mike. I just work here.

He worked faster on the chamber, as did the other members of the staff. Time was of the essence now, and they weren't going to get caught at the buzzer. Not on my watch! he said to himself. Ellis responded to the Captain.

Lt. Ellis: We're on it, Sir! It'll be ready, you got my word on that!

The rest of the staff, moved as fast as they could, taking all precautions to make sure they followed the schematic's every detail.

The CO nodded to the XO and spoke.

Capt Carpathia: Seems we got things in order for the moment.

He returned to his chair, and motioned the XO to follow. When they both sat he leaned over and spoke to him.

Capt Carpathia: Since Infiniti will not be able to get in close enough to that asteroid. We're going to have to send a team by shuttle, with the chamber, and obtain Omega by any means necessary.

He paused a moment.

Capt Carpathia: We need to assemble an away team, starting with someone to lead it. Any suggestions?

He waited to hear his XO's response.

David smiled and looked him straight in the eye and replied.

Cmdr Calzada: Yeah...me.

He continued smiling and spoke further.

Cmdr Calzada: I recommend that Mr. Sander, Mr. Joffee and Mr. Trylon accompany me. We'll get in, grab Omega and get out.

He sat there looking confident they could pull it off without a problem.

The CO smiled back, he really liked Cmdr Calzada. Especially the way he thought.
Capt Carpathia: What an excellent suggestion, Number One. I couldn't have thought of a better one myself.

He laughed lightly, then continued.

Capt Carpathia: Alright, once Mr. Trylon scans that asteroid and we know what we're up against, assemble the team and when the chamber is ready, get it aboard a shuttle. Then we'll see about getting ourselves that molecule.

He could tell the XO was quite pleased, judging by the smile on his face. The CO waited till they were close enough for Lt. Trylon to scan the asteroid they were heading for.
