Dylan monitored their course as Whitestar left SB34 far behind and approached the outer markers of the parameter of the starbase's flight control zone.

Lt. JG Thomas: Captain, we're approaching the outer markers. Course set for Oriskany's location in Sector Epsilon.

He was ready for the order to engage the Warp Drive. It was his favorite part of the job!

Treasar was pleased to hear that they were at the outer markers and they would be going to warp soon. He just had to check in with the Chief Engineer to make sure the ship was ready. The CO tapped the companel on the arm of his chair and called down to Engineering.

Capt Adonis: Bridge to Engineering. Thom, are those engines ready for warp speed?

He waited on LtCmdr Cypher's reply before giving the order to engage the Warp Drive.

Thom heard the CO's message and looked over his console, and then to his team of Engineers and nodded.

Lt. Commander Cypher: Engines ready, Sir. I'd be grateful if you'd give the word, Captain!

Thom stood by his console, ready to engage the Warp Drive. Watching the energy in the matter/anti-matter chamber exhilerated him. He couldn't wait to get the ship moving.

Treasar smiled and sat high in his chair as he replied to LtCmdr Cypher.

Capt Adonis: Mr. Cypher, the word is given. Adonis out.

He looked over at the Conn Station where he could see that young Lt. JG Thomas was quite eager to get underway.

Capt Adonis: Mr. Thomas, if you would be so kind, can you take us to Warp 8 please?

The CO sat back in his chair and waited for the Warp Drive to engage and the starfield ahead of them to turn into streaks of light.

Dylan worked his console and engaged the Warp Drive.

Lt. JG Thomas: Aye, Sir. Warp 8!

Using the controls on the panel before him, Dylan excitedly increased the speed of Whitestar till it reached the velocity the CO requested. The stars on the view screen were moving like streaks of light when they left Sector Alpha behind them.

Skonch was pleased that they were finally on their way to Sector Epsilon. He was aware of how critical the situation was and knew time was a luxury they did not have.

Lt. Commander Skonch: Mr. Thomas, what is our ETA to rendezvous with Oriskany?

He waited on the Conn Officer's response before working on the estimate in his head on how long the entire operation would take.

Dylan looked down at his console and read the time remaining before they reached their destination out loud.

Lt. JG Thomas: Four hours and thirty-seven minutes, Sir!

He continued monitoring his station as Whitestar warped through the stars towards it's rendezvous with Oriskany.

Skonch nodded in response to the Conn Officer's reply.

Lt. Commander Skonch: Thank you, Mr. Thomas. Mr. Mitchell, can you forward all sensor data on Sector Epsilon to my console please?

He turned his attention to he console by his seat, and prepared to monitor the incoming sensor data. Skonch was still the Chief Science Officer and he did not want to neglect those duties while he was temporarily the Acting XO.

Cole tapped his console and forwarded the sensor data to the console Mr. Skonch was accessing.

Lt. JG Mitchell: Data forwarded, Sir.

He continued monitoring the data as well as the other tasks that required his attention.

The Acting XO turned and nodded to the Ops Officer in acknowledgement.

Lt. Commander Skonch: Thank you, Mr. Mitchell.

Skonch began analyzing the sensor data as it appeared across the screen of the console.
