Specialized Science Laboratory - Deck 5

The General was pleased with the laboratory and could tell that Prof Brewer was pleased as well. Together they worked on readying the sensor equipment they were planning on using to detect the Deltaurans aboard both Starships they were heading for.

MGen Alderez: Everything is set here, Professor. I should start training the Marines and Security teams on board with the weapons we're bringing.

Rex smiled as he looked over at the Professor who was already busying himself with the calibrating all of his equipment with Infiniti's sensors. From the laboratory he would be able to monitor all the Deltauran activity aboard Oriskany and Whitestar.

Jansen was helping the Professor organize his isolinear data chips as he heard MGen Alderez announce his suggestion about instructing the Marines and Security personnel on the new weapons, when it occurred to him that Oriskany's new Chief Tactical/Security Officer was aboard for the ride.

Lt. JG Panettiere: General, Lieutenant Graham is aboard. We're giving him a ride to Oriskany since they're in need of a Chief Tactical/Security Officer. You may want to include him in the training, Sir.

The Yeoman remained by the Professor's desk and continued organizing the data chips in the order that was requested by Prof Brewer. While doing so, Jansen's mind wandered around possible entrees he and the Professor could have for lunch.

Rex turned and looked to the Yeoman, realizing the youngster was correct. This would be the perfect opportunity to bring Lt. Graham up to speed on what was going on aboard Oriskany and what they were planning to do about it.

MGen Alderez: Good thinking, Lieutenant. Have Mr. Graham meet me in Cargo Bay One as soon as you find him. He's certainly going to need to be trained on using the new weapon. In the meantime, I'll coordinate with the Marines aboard.

The General exited the laboratory and proceeded through the corridor to the Turbolift. Descending to Deck 7, MGen Alderez continued to the Marine Detachment Commander's Office and entered to find 1Lt. Lopez behind his desk.

MGen Alderez: Greetings, Lieutenant! I'm going to need your Squad's assistance with the recovery of USS Oriskany. I've brought weapons aboard they're going to need to get accustomed with. Assemble them in Cargo Bay One relatively soon, Mr. Lopez.

Rex looked around the office designated for Infinti's MDC and was impressed. He had heard that Intrepid Class vessels had the best use of internal space and design, and from what he could tell, it was no exaggeration or embelishment.

Jansen nodded and smiled to the General as he tapped his Combadge to do as Rex had asked of him.

Lt. JG Panettiere: Yeoman Panettiere to Lieutenant Graham, report to Cargo Bay One. General Alderez has new weapons you need training on.

The Lieutenant continued smiling as he helped Prof Brewer with the remainder of the Isolinear Data Chips needed to be placed in their correct order for the Professor's usage.

Cargo Bay 1 - Deck 8

Lt. Graham entered Cargo Bay 1 with excitement. He loved working with new techniques and since there were new weapons involved he was exceptionally pleased. He then looked over the displays of weapons and marvelled at the detail and inginuity that went into the constrution of these weapons. Peter Graham waited for MGen Alderez to arrive as he had been instructed to meet him here. Eager to start he picked up a weapon to have a closer look.

Marine Detachment Commander's Office - Deck 7

Chris was startled by the arrival of MGen Alderez. He had no idea the Fleet Marine Force Commandant was coming aboard this mission. The Lieutenant immediately stood up from behind his desk and went to attention!

1Lt. Lopez: Yes, General! Right away, Sir!

Tapping the companel on his desk, Chris immediately informed GSgt Arbor of the situation and what was expected of the squad.

1Lt. Lopez: Sergeant! General Alderez is in my office and he's informed me that the Marines are to assemble in Cargo Bay One for special weapons training! Make it happen, Lopez out!

The Lieutenant looked back to MGen Alderez with confidence and sincerity.

1Lt. Lopez: We'll be ready for you, Sir. Feel free to use my office while you're aboard Infiniti, General. Mi casa es tu casa.

Chris smiled to MGen Alderez as he quickly grabbed a PADD off his desk and scrambled to get with the squad so they could be assemled and ready at Cargo Bay 1 by the time the General arrived.

The General was pleased with the professionism of 1Lt. Lopez and accepted the offer of his office usage. Rex figured he may need to use it as some point during the current mission.

MGen Alderez: Gracias, Teniente. Debo ir al Almac?n Uno y ver a las armas. Sin embargo, m?s adelante en la misi?n.

Rex smiled as he exited the Marine Detachment Commander's Office and proceeded to Cargo Bay One. It had been quite a while since he ran into somebody else that spoke Spanish out here in space. In a cheerful mood the General continued to the Cargo Bay on Deck 8 and entered to see that Lt. Graham took it upon himself to open a crate the weapons were transported in and was holding one of the modified Phaser Rifles in his hands.

MGen Alderez: Lieutenant! Why is that weapon in your hands?!? Explain yourself right now, Mister!

Major General Alderez was furious at the unprofessionalism displayed before him. What was this Tactical/Security Officer thinking? It was beyond illogical and downright arrogant to begin fumbling around with a weapon you know nothing about. Rex was evidently pissed off and demanding a response from Lt. Peter Graham...now!

Marine Barracks - Deck 7

Cody heard 1Lt. Lopez over the com system and immediately go up from behind his desk to address the squad of Marines under his command. With the Fleet Marine Force Commandant around, the last thing GSgt Arbor wanted was any of them coming off as idiots.

GSgt Arbor: MARINES!!! Get your asses together now and prepare to move out to Cargo Bay One for special weapons training! Lieutenant Lopez is on his way here and I want you all ready by the time he arrives! Let's get a move on people, assholes and elbows! Move it, move it!!

The Sergeant watched as the squad assembled in front of him in their gear and obviously ready for 1Lt. Lopez's arrival. Cody was pleased and awaited upon the MDC by standing aside the squad.

Chris entered the barracks and saw the squad standing proudly before him in perfect formation. The Lieutenant was extremely pleased at what he saw.

1Lt. Lopez: Excellent Sergeant! Let's get the squad to Cargo Bay One, right away!

As GSgt Arbor and the Marines filed out of the barracks and down the corridor, Chris smiled at the members of Infiniti's crew that politely got out of their way so they could move quickly to their destination. Upon their arrival, the Lieutenant followed the Marine Detachment into Cargo Bay 1 to find MGen Alderez furiously standing in front of Lt. Graham who was holding one of the Phaser Rifles that came from one of the crates that arrived from SB34.

1Lt. Lopez: Is there a problem, General?

Chris waited on hearing what was going on, and what could've made MGen Alderez look so angry with the Tactical/Security Officer being delivered to Oriskany. He hoped it wasn't a serious transgression that was going to lead to a violent situation between the two of them. But with a squad of Marines present to back the General, 1Lt. Lopez knew it would be an extremely short altercation.

Cargo Bay 1 - Deck 8

Rex looked over at 1Lt. Lopez and the squad of Marines that assembled behind him in the Cargo Bay. He was rather pleased they arrived so quickly.

MGen Alderez: Apparently the Lieutenant here felt he was authorized to open a crate so he can handle one of the new weapons we developed in the Specialized Science Laboratories aboard Starbase 34, without any prior instructions to do so by those qualified to give directions on said weapon.

The General remained standing across from Lt. Graham, with the Marine squad standing behind him. All eyes were now on the Chief Tac/Sec Officer of Oriskany, waiting on his response.
