Bridge - Deck 1  Reply with quote

While standing beside Prof Brewer on the Bridge, Rex decided that the Marines had fulfilled their duties of keeping the ship's vital areas secure. He walked over to 1Lt. Lopez to let him know it was time for the Marines to return to Deck 7 and relax.

MGen Alderez: Lieutenant Lopez, your task here on the Bridge is complete. You and the rest of the Marines aboard Infiniti can return to the Marine Detachment area. You've all done a fine job! Dismissed!

Rex walked back over to where he was standing beside Prof Brewer which was a short distance away from the Commodore's Ready Room, where he and Lt. Elbrun were talking about the loss of Capt Adonis. The General had only met Treasar a few times and found him to be quite entertaining. It was a shame that his life was cut short.

Chris was pleased that MGen Alderez said they had done a fine job and that they could return to the Detachment's Area on Deck 7. He thanked the General before telling the rest of the Marines on the Bridge to follow him.

1Lt. Lopez: Thank you, General. Sergeant Hicks, Lance Corporal Hudson, Private Vasquez! Follow me back to our Detachment area!

As they entered the Turbolift, the 1st Lieutenant tapped his Combadge.

1Lt. Lopez: Lopez to Lieutenant Parra and Gunnery Sergeant Arbor. We've been ordered to return to the Marine Detachment Area, we've done our job gentlemen, time to relax. See you there! Lopez out.

Chris took the Turbolift to Deck 7 and walked with his Marines to their area of the ship. They stowed their Modified Phaser Rifles in the armory and removed their protective armor and stowed that as well before going to the Rec Lounge to sit back and relax while waiting for the rest of their Marines to arrive.

Main Engineering - Deck 11  Reply with quote

Tony heard 1Lt. Lopez over his Combadge and walked over to where Ens Liebowitz was working, keeping Aux Power engaged for the prolonged use of the Tractor Beam as they towed Whitestar back to SB34.

2Lt. Parra: Ensign, we've been relieved. We're heading back to the Marine area on Deck 7. You're all doing a great job here.

The Engineer smiled at the Deputy Marine Detachment Commander and replied.

Ens Liebowitz: Thank you for being here, Lieutenant. Your presence was appreciated.

They shook hands and Tony lead Sgt Ferro, Cpl Deitrich, LCpl Drake and PFC Spunkmeyer back to Deck 7 where they stowed their weapons and armor, then went to the Recreation Area and relaxed while waiting for the rest of the Marines to show up.

Sickbay - Deck 5  Reply with quote

The Gunnery Sergeant heard 1Lt. Lopez and started snapping his fingers to get the attention of the Marines standing in secure locations around Sickbay where they were out of Dr. Sarrlak's way in case of any casualties were to come in needing medical treatment.

GSgt Arbor: We're outta here, Marines! Time for some down time back in our area of the ship! Let's get a move on and leave the good Doctor to his tasks.

Cody gave a nod to Dr. Sarrlak before leaving Sickbay and heading back to Deck 7 where their quarters were. They stowed their weapons and gear before heading to the Recreation Area and seeing the rest of the Marines already relaxing. He smiled as he took a seat for himself and relaxed for the rest of the trip back to SB34.

Ready Room - Deck 1  Reply with quote

E.J. talked with Kestra for quite a while before he decided to go back to the Bridge and oversee their return to SB34. He thanked Lt. Elbrun for her services in helping him with the pain of losing his friend.

Como Carpathia: Thank you, Kestra. Perhaps we can talk more after we reached Starbase 34 and docked.

The Commodore walked out of the Ready Room with the Counselor following behind, taking his seat on the Bridge which was next to Cmdr Calzada.

Como Carpathia: Anything exciting happen while I was in the Ready Room, Commander? We should be closer to port by now.

While waiting to hear from the XO, E.J. looked down at the monitor between them and saw that they were just a few hours away from SB34. He figured they would continue to follow Explorer and Oriskany the rest of the way in and drop out of Warp to approach at Impulse power till SB34's Tractor Beam could take care of Whitestar. With the radiation leaking from the severed Warp Nacelle, they would need to make some repairs outside the Starbase before allowing it into the Space Dock Doors and parking it into a berth.

David was pleased to see Como Carpathia less devastated than he was when he first went into his Ready Room. The XO always enjoyed sharing the Bridge with the Commodore on all their missions. When the CO made an inquiry on anything exciting happening while he was away, David immediately responded.

Cmdr Calzada: General Alderez relieved the Marines around the ship and sent them back to their area. Tractor Beam is holding well, there's no strain on the Core. All is well here on Infiniti, Commodore.

The Commander smiled and looked forward to docking at SB34. Their mission was over and all they needed to do was spend the last few hours biding their time till they were within Tractor Beam range for Whitestar to be dealt with. Their crew would have to beam aboard SB34 since the leaking radiation will have to be dealt with before the ship could be let in to dock.

E.J. was pleased to hear the report from his XO and smiled as he replied.

Como Carpathia: Thank you, Commander. We'll be back home soon and then we can really relax from this mission that feels like it took a decade to complete!

The Commodore relaxed in his chair on the Bridge and watched the Main Viewer as the stars streaked by. It wouldn't be long before they were in SB34's proximity and would be securing from Warp Speed. The CO was really looking forward to that.

Aléjandro heard what Como Carpathia said about it feeling like this mission had taken them a decade to complete. He completely agreed with the Commodore as he supplied the Bridge with the latest estimated time of arrival to SB34.

Lt. Commander Delgado: I agree with you, Commodore. We're about an hour out from Starbase 34 at our current course and speed.

The Second Officer continued monitoring the Flight Control Station, making sure everything was going well on their approach to SB34. He was curious about the state of the Tractor Beam that was towing Whitestar, so he made an inquiry of Lt. Trylon.

Lt. Commander Delgado: Hey William, how's the Tractor Beam holding up?

While waiting on the Chief Operations Officer to respond, Aléjandro glanced around the Bridge to see the looks of relief on the faces of the officers at their stations, as well as the others that were present regarding there only being an hour left to the voyage.

William heard LtCmdr Delgado call out to him and he immediately checked on the status of the Tractor Beam. Everything was in the green, so he was pleased to inform the Second Officer of the news.

Lt. Trylon: Tractor Beam is functioning properly, no sign of any degradation of the beam's intensity.

The Ops Officer kept his eye upon the Tractor Beam display on his console and made sure to report any fluctuations in it's performance. He was really looking forward to getting back to SB34 and visiting the restaurants in the Galleria where the food was prepared by chefs, nothing replicated.

It didn't take William long to respond to Aléjandro's inquiry regarding the status of the Tractor Beam, this pleased the Second Officer. As he diligently watched over the Flight Control Station, he replied to the Ops Officer.

Lt. Commander Delgado: Thanks for the good news, Mr. Trylon!

The Chief Flight Control Officer could see at his station they were now less than an hour to go before they would be dropping out of Warp Speed and making their final approach to SB34. He knew with all the radiation emitting from Whitestar, it would have to stay outside the docking berths inside the Starbase. However, the crew would be beamed over so the ship could be decontaminated for the safety of the repair crews that will begin to reverse all the damage done to the Akira Class vessel at the Battle of Sector Epsilon.
