Jansen was somewhat disappointed that he wouldn't be here if Como Carpathia showed up to see them off. The task Capt Marino charged him with wouldn't take very long, so he decided there would be no harm in asking if he could remain with them a short while longer in the event the Commodore showed up.

Lt. Panettiere: Sir, can I stay with you both a while longer? I would like to see if Commodore Carpathia is coming to see us off. I want him to know what a good job I'm doing for you.

As the Yeoman waited on a reply from Capt Marino, he looked at Adm Arayuss, hoping he wasn't out of line for asking to remain to see the Commodore before they launched from SB34. Jansen didn't want to get on the Captain's bad side in fear of getting a blemish on his spotless record with Starfleet.

Lou had no problem allowing the Yeoman to wait for Como Carpathia. He thought it was quite moving that Jansen had such a bond with his CO. Lou hoped one day he would get a Yeoman of his own that he could bond with like that.

Capt Marino: Of course you can wait for the Commodore, Lieutenant. I'll be sure to let him know what a great job you're doing!

The Captain looked over towards the Turbolifts on the other side of the Observation Area to see who would be arriving next. Lou was really looking forward to his first mission without the supervision of another Captain looking over his shoulder. This was his chance to officially prove himself to Starfleet. Lou was glad he had the support of Adm Arayuss standing there beside him.

E.J. made his way to the Observation Area via Turbolift after getting himself ready in his Quarters aboard Infiniti. As the Commodore walked out into large room that contained the Gangway entrance to Sutherland, he saw Adm Arayuss, Capt Marino and Lt. Panettiere standing together. This put a smile on his face as he walked over to the trio of officers.

Como Carpathia: Good morning! How is everyone doing today?

The Division 1 Commander remained smiling as he could see how excited Capt Marino appeared to be before departing on his first mission. E.J. could remember when he went on his first mission aboard Infiniti and how excited he was. So the Commodore knew exactly what Lou was going through this morning. There is no bigger moment in a Commanding Officer's life then when they take command of their first vessel. It's a moment in time that stays with them forever...

Aeryck was pleased to see that his old friend had arrived as planned to see Sutherland's volunteers off on their mission to Sector Epsilon. He knew Jansen would be thrilled as well. As to the Commodore's question about how they were doing, the Admiral answered.

Adm Arayuss: Good morning, Commodore! I am doing fine today, just seeing off Sutherland and it's new Commanding Officer on his maiden voyage to Sector Epsilon.

The Admiral looked over at Capt Marino and could see that he was nearly busting at the seams with excitement. He hoped the Captain would be able to contain himself and not start jumping around on the furniture with glee. Aeryck could also see that Lt. Panettiere was completely relieved that his CO arrived to see him off on his first mission away from Infiniti.

Lou was happy to see that Como Carpathia made it to the Observation Area to help welcome the volunteers aboard Sutherland. He could barely contain his excitement for the upcoming mission by jumping up and down on the furniture! But he kept calm and greeted the Commodore.

Capt Marino: Good morning, Sir! I'm thrilled that you've joined us here in the Observation Area to welcome the crew aboard Sutherland. As for how I'm feeling, Sir...excited barely covers it!

The Captain looked at the three of them and decided to get them all some refreshments as they waited for the officers and crew to arrive.

Capt Marino: How about I get us some refreshments from the Replicator while we wait for the others to arrive?

Lou knew his crews' tastes by studying there Starfleet personnel records so he already had an idea in mind for the Yeoman. As for Adm Arayuss and Como Carpathia, he got them the same thing he was getting for himself. At the Replicator, he placed the order for all four of them.

Capt Marino: I'll have three tall chilled glasses of apple juice and one tall chilled glass of chocolate milk.

All the items materialized on a tray in the Replicator bay, so he picked it up and carried it over to where the others were standing.

Capt Marino: Here you all go, enjoy! Let me say, Commodore...Yeoman Panettiere has been a real big help to me, I can see why you give him so much praise. He must be worth his weight in gold pressed latinum to you. I hope I'll have a Yeoman of my own someday that can fill his shoes.

When the Admiral, Commodore and Yeoman took their glasses, Lou took his and placed the tray down on a nearby table. He drank his apple juice slowly, as he knew drinking it too fast would give him brain-freeze. The Captain cheerfully waited for the next person to arrive.

The XO arrived in the Observation Area to see Adm Arayuss, Como Carpathia, Capt Marino and Lt. Panettiere standing together near the entrance to the Gangway to Sutherland. With his travel bag slung over his shoulder, James walked over to the officers and greeted them.

Cmdr Kee: Admiral, Commodore, Captain, Yeoman, I'm pleased to see all of you here this morning. I'd like to get unpacked in my Quarters aboard ship and then head for the Bridge. So if nobody minds, I'll be on my way.

The Commander waited on either of them to reply before he would continue up across the Gangway into the interior of the Nebula Class Starship he was to be the XO on during it's mission to Sector Epsilon. James was just the Science Officer when they first arrived in that sector of the Gamma Quadrant and when they left he was already the Executive Officer of Oriskany. This time he was going as XO of Sutherland to clean up what Oriskany was forced to leave behind.

Lou was glad to see his Executive Officer arrive and reached out to shake his hand as he spoke to James.

Capt Marino: Hello Commander. Please get your Quarters setup and take the Bridge and oversee the testing of all systems before we launch to Sector Epsilon and take care of our pre-launch duties. The Yeoman and I are going wait for the rest of the Senior Staff and crew to arrive. I look forward to serving with you Commander, your knowledge and expertise will serve us well. Welcome aboard.

With that said, the Captain watched as the XO made his way across the Gangway and into Sutherland he went to unpack his belongings and go to the Bridge to carry out the duties assigned to him by Capt Marino.

Dylan exited the Turbolift and could see Sutherland outside the bay windows and was impressed. He had never been on a Nebula Class vessel before so he was excited to be a part of this mission. The Lieutenant also saw Capt Marino standing near the entrance to the ship with Adm Arayuss, Como Carpathia and Lt. Panettiere. Dylan carried his bag and walked over towards the Captain along with the others and reported in.

Lt. Thomas: Lieutenant Dylan Thomas, Chief Flight Control Officer, reporting in Sir!

While waiting for Capt Marino to acknowledge him, Dylan looked over at Lt. Panettiere and smiled. They hadn't seen each other in a really long time so it was good to see him again after all these eons! He only met the Admiral and Commodore quite a while ago so he wasn't sure if they even remembered him, but he smiled at them nonetheless.

Lou saw Lt. Thomas enter the Observation Area and greeted him with a handshake.

Capt Marino: Hello Lieutenant, welcome aboard. Please go to your Quarters so you can get them set up and report to Commander Kee for pre-flight test and systems checks. I look forward to you flying us out of here and to our mission location deep inside Sector Epsilon.

The Captain smiled as Lt. Thomas made his way across the Gangway and entered Sutherland to unpack and get his Quarters set up so he could go to the Bridge and report to Cmdr Kee.

As LtCmdr Boffi and Alex made there way into the Observation Area, they saw Adm Arayuss, Como Carpathia, Capt Marino and Lt. Panettiere standing by the Gangway's entrance that lead to Sutherland's Docking Port. The two of them approached Capt Marino where Michaelangelo reported in.

Lt. Commander Boffi: Lieutenant Commander Michaelangelo Boffi, Chief Operations Officer along with Alexander Windsor, Mission Specialist, reporting in, Captain.

While both Mike and Alex waited for Capt Marino to respond, they smiled towards Adm Arayuss, Como Carpathia and Yeoman Panettiere. They were glad to see them there as a send off on their mission to Sector Epsilon. Being there with the Captain showed their solidarity, that they stood behind him on his first mission as a Commanding Officer, which said a lot about their confidence in him.
