Briefing Room - Deck 2  Reply with quote

Alex couldn't have been more happier to see Michaelangelo and hear him invite them to go on a quest to find Sutherland's Holodecks and see what games were available to play in the amount of time they had before the Staff Meeting at 1200 hours.

Alexander Windsor: Wow, that sounds like an awesome idea to me! Let's do it!

The boy looked over at Yeoman Panettiere to see if he was going to join them. He really hoped Jansen was in the mood to play some games together with him and Michaelangelo. Alex knew they would be able to find something to occupy the time before the meeting and was practically bouncing with excitement.

Since they completed the task and Jansen made sure everyone knew about the staff meeting at 1200 hours via messages to their PADDs before they came aboard, the Yeoman figured it was a good time to have some fun. Since he already knew where the Holodecks were, Jansen decided to lead the way.

Lt. Panettiere: Sounds great, I know the way so follow me!

They exited the Observation Lounge being used for the Briefing Room from the opposite side that LtCmdr Boffi entered and took the Turbolift from Deck 2 to Deck 11 and briskly walked to the Holodeck doors where they looked at the available games on the display console which was on the wall beside the entrance.

Lt. Panettiere: See anything you like, Sir?

Jansen waited to hear which holographic simulation they were interested in playing together. He was game for pretty much anything, so it didn't matter to him which one they chose. Jansen was just glad to be invited to come along. The Yeoman hadn't met either of them before today, so it was great to make new friends with similar interests in gaming on a Holodeck.

Michaelangelo looked over the list of available game simulations and found one he knew Alex would enjoy, hoping Jansen would enjoy also, he pointed it out to the two of them.

Lt. Commander Boffi: How 'bout this one? I know you'll love it, Alex. We played something similar aboard Infiniti while we were over there before we went into the Deltauran Realm.

It sure seemed like quite a while ago that it occurred. But it was fun nevertheless and he was pretty sure Jansen would enjoy it as well. But he waited on hearing from the Yeoman before he let the computer know they were selecting that particular game to play.

The Lieutenant hadn't been in a Holodeck in a very long time so he was looking forward to playing anything with LtCmdr Boffi and Alex. Jansen nodded his head at the simulation the Lieutenant Commander was pointing to as he a replied.

Lt. Panettiere: That one will be fine by me!

The Yeoman selected the program LtCmdr Boffi pointed to and they heard the computer make a few tones before responding.

Sutherland-Com: Program complete. Enter when ready.

The three of them entered and began an adventure in the ruins of an old Earth-like city in what appeared to be after an apocalypse of some kind. In the distance, the undead were roaming the streets! The Yeoman knew they were about to have themselves a lot of fun taking out the walking dead as they looked for other survivors and discover whether they were friends or foes!

Captain's Quarters - Deck 8  Reply with quote

After Lou arrived back in his Quarters he reached in to the cabinet and gave his betta fish its nutrients. Then he walked over to the replicator and placed an order.

Capt Marino: Coffee, black, hot.

The Captain sat there reading a book on the different types of betta fish that have been discovered on different worlds, while relaxing and drinking the coffee in his Quarters until it was time for his Senior Staff meeting.

Before it long it was almost 1200 hours so he finished off his coffee and placed the book down on the table beside the sofa. Lou straightened his uniform in the mirror and then made his way to the Briefing Room on Deck 2.

Main Engineering - Deck 21  Reply with quote

As Zac was observing the Warp Core functioning perfectly, he noticed it was time to head to the Observation Lounge behind the Bridge for the Senior Staff meeting Capt Marino had called for. The Chief Engineer left his Assistant Engineering Officer in charge when he left Main Engineering for the Turbolift.

Arriving on Deck 2, LtCmdr Waters entered the Briefing Room and noticed how it was already setup for the meeting. Since he was the first to arrive, he took a seat and waited on others to show up. Zac figured it wouldn't be a long wait since he was only about 5 minutes early. That was a trait of a good officer, to always be ahead of when you're expected. It was the ideal way to make sure you never leave the rest of the crew waiting on you to arrive.

Chief Medical Officer's Office - Deck 12  Reply with quote

When the Doctor finished checking over the inventory of medical supplies she went through all of the service logs on all of the equipment and found that other than being tested at Starfleet Medical, everything was new. That pleased Dr. Jovic and she would mention that detail to Capt Marino at the meeting at 1200 hours, time permitting of course.

Seeing that it was about that time, Dragana told her staff where she was going when she passed through Sickbay. On the way to the Turbolift, she smiled and greeted members of the crew that were going about their duties. The Doctor took the Turbolift to the Observation Lounge/Briefing Room on Deck 2 and quickly walked inside to see LtCmdr Waters sitting at the table alone. Cmdr Jovic took a seat next to him and smiled as she waited for the others to show.

With all of the Marines in the barracks and their items stowed, Rafo let them use the flight simulators that were recently installed so they could continue to hone their skills as pilots. Since it was almost 1200 hours, the Lieutenant Colonel let MCapt Vansen know that he'd be back after the staff meeting.

Lt. Colonel Carrera: I'll be at the staff meeting, keep an eye on the kiddies while I'm gone.

The Detachment Wing Commander took the Turbolift up to Deck 2 where the Observation Lounge was located and being used as the Briefing Room. Rafo entered to see Dr. Jovic and LtCmdr Waters seated at the table, which he walked over and joined them as he waited on the rest of the Senior Staff to make their way there.

Holodeck 2 - Deck 11  Reply with quote

They ended the simulation five minutes before 1200 hours which gave them ample time to get to the Observation Lounge where Capt Marino's Staff Meeting was taking place. Michaelangelo told them they should go directly there, which Jansen and Alex both agreed. They went to the closest Turbolift and took it up to Deck 2 where they took a small walk down the corridor and entered the Briefing Room where they could see LtCol Carrera, Dr. Jovic and LtCmdr Waters seated at the table.

Michaelangelo nodded to the three of them and motioned for Jansen and Alex to take their seats as well. He poured himself a glass of cold water and waited for the rest of the Senior Staff to arrive. It was just a few minutes to 1200 so he knew they wouldn't be late and would show up in just a matter of minutes. Then they would all have to wait on Capt Marino to arrive.

Ten-Forward Lounge - Deck 10  Reply with quote

The four of them completed their breakfasts and socializing with more than enough time to spare. James let the Kestra, Jared and Michael know it was about that time to get up to the Observation Lounge and attend the Captain's meeting.

Cmdr Kee: We should get going, we don't want to be late and make a bad impression on Captain Marino. The last thing we need is him thinking we're a bunch of slackers!

The XO smiled at his use of the old Terran expression for somebody who was frequently late and didn't really take anything seriously. Cmdr Kee, Counselor Elbrun, LtCmdr D'Shoua and LtCmdr Boffi left the Ten-Forward Lounge and took the Turbolift up to the Observation Lounge, where it was a short walk down the corridor to the entrance to the Briefing Room. When they entered, they saw LtCol Carrera, Dr. Jovic, LtCmdr Waters, LtCmdr Boffi, Lt. Panettiere and their resident mission specialist, Alex Windsor, sitting at the table.

Cmdr Kee: The Captain will be here soon, let's take our seats around the table.

James took the chair closest to the head of the table, next to where Capt Marino would be sitting when he arrived. The XO could tell that everyone was well rested and enjoyed their time off. He noticed that Lt. Thomas wasn't here and immediately tapped his Combadge...

Cmdr Kee: Kee to Lieutenant Thomas, the meeting is about to start. Secure your station and come to the Observation Lounge where the Staff Meeting will begin shortly.

It was 30 seconds or less that the Chief Flight Control Officer came through the entrance which lead to the Bridge and quickly took a seat. Now that they were all seated and waiting on Capt Marino to arrive, James was surprised the Captain hadn't arrived yet. He looked at the chronometer on his PADD and it read 1200 hours. The CO should be here any second...
