Captain's Quarters - Deck 8
|
|
After Lou arrived back in his Quarters he reached in to the cabinet and gave his betta fish its nutrients. Then he walked over to the replicator and placed an order.
Capt Marino:
Coffee, black, hot.
The Captain sat there reading a book on the different types of betta fish that have been discovered on different worlds, while relaxing and drinking the coffee in his Quarters until it was time for his Senior Staff meeting.
Before it long it was almost 1200 hours so he finished off his coffee and placed the book down on the table beside the sofa. Lou straightened his uniform in the mirror and then made his way to the Briefing Room on Deck 2.

Ten-Forward Lounge - Deck 10

The four of them completed their breakfasts and socializing with more than enough time to spare. James let the Kestra, Jared and Michael know it was about that time to get up to the Observation Lounge and attend the Captain's meeting.
Cmdr Kee:
We should get going, we don't want to be late and make a bad impression on Captain Marino. The last thing we need is him thinking we're a bunch of slackers!
The XO smiled at his use of the old Terran expression for somebody who was frequently late and didn't really take anything seriously. Cmdr Kee, Counselor Elbrun, LtCmdr D'Shoua and LtCmdr Boffi left the Ten-Forward Lounge and took the Turbolift up to the Observation Lounge, where it was a short walk down the corridor to the entrance to the Briefing Room. When they entered, they saw LtCol Carrera, Dr. Jovic, LtCmdr Waters, LtCmdr Boffi, Lt. Panettiere and their resident mission specialist, Alex Windsor, sitting at the table.
Cmdr Kee:
The Captain will be here soon, let's take our seats around the table.
James took the chair closest to the head of the table, next to where Capt Marino would be sitting when he arrived. The XO could tell that everyone was well rested and enjoyed their time off. He noticed that Lt. Thomas wasn't here and immediately tapped his Combadge...
Cmdr Kee:
Kee to Lieutenant Thomas, the meeting is about to start. Secure your station and come to the Observation Lounge where the Staff Meeting will begin shortly.
It was 30 seconds or less that the Chief Flight Control Officer came through the entrance which lead to the Bridge and quickly took a seat. Now that they were all seated and waiting on Capt Marino to arrive, James was surprised the Captain hadn't arrived yet. He looked at the chronometer on his PADD and it read 1200 hours. The CO should be here any second... _________________
