Since Jayden was not required to be on the Bridge for the time being, the Captain felt Lt. JG DeGrazzio would be better suited in the Science Lab on Deck 4 for now.

Capt Little: Granted, and while your down there maybe you can look at the Shields rotation, maybe with your help and the good Professor, we may just get through this in one piece.

The Captain smiled and nodded at the Lieutenant JG, letting him know to get moving towards Deck 4 immediately. Lewis was aware of the importance Prof Brewer and Jayden would be in their safe return home.

The Chief Science Officer signed out of the Science Station and nodded to the Captain in appreciation for letting him meet with Prof Brewer directly down in the Science Laboratory on Deck 4.

Lt. JG DeGrazzio: Thank you, Captain. I'll keep you up to date on our findings and the frequency modulation rotation for the Shields.

With that, Jayden exited the Bridge and walked to the Turbolift and descended to Deck 4 where he walked out of the lift and down the corridor to the entrance to the Science Laboratory. The Lieutenant JG entered to find Prof Brewer going over the findings that were sent here for him to go over when he arrived. Walking over to the Professor, he smiled as he greeted his friend from Infiniti's last mission.

Lt. JG DeGrazzio: Hello Professor! I hope you're doing well. We're about 10 hours from Sector Omicron so we have some time to go over my findings regarding the particles we need to focus the interdimensional displacement device onto so we enter the correct universe. If we make even the slightest mistake, we'll end up someplace else in the multiverse! That could spell certain doom for us all!

Jayden continued with a bit of an eccentric style.

Lt. JG DeGrazzio: Granted that's a worse case scenario, so we'll just have to be careful with the correct particle projections. Other than that, we should be fine.

The Lieutenant JG stood beside the Professor waiting on his assessment of the findings he sent down here. While the young officer waited patiently, he brought up the spectrum dynamics for the Shields and began fiddling with them in order to make sure the rotation of the frequencies used to protect Event Horizon were operating in a wide band and randomized so no vessel would be able to lock a Tractor Beam on them or disable their Shields. This sure was a fine ship and it would have to be destroyed with all hands if necessary before it could be allowed to fall into hostile enemy hands.

The Professor was already in the Science Laboratory waiting for Lt. JG DeGrazzio to arrive. While waiting, he read over all the findings Jayden had already sent. Lloyd also took time to use one of the Laboratory's computers to analyze and project the findings into what it would be like in real time.

Just then, Lt. JG DeGrazzio entered the Laboratory and they had warm greetings for each other.

Prof Brewer: Hello Jayden, it's good to see you again. Thanks for asking about my well-being. I am just fine and I hope you are too.

After dispensing with other small talk, they began discussing the findings Jayden had already made .

Prof Brewer: While reviewing your findings, Jayden, I also used one of the powerful Laboratory computers to run simulated tasks using the criteria on your findings. I'm pleased to let you know that the computer projections show that all your findings seem to work perfectly. No flaws were found and this shows we are about "Ready to Go". This also shows what a fine job you have already done. Mainly that we will enter the correct Universe, and all of us should be proud of your findings.

The Professor was feeling some fatigue and decided he needed to get some rest, so it was time to retreat to his Quarters back on Deck 1 and get the sleep his body needed.

Prof Brewer: I'm sorry, Jayden, but it's time to retire to my quarters for a good night's sleep... Same for you too. It was good working with you again while going over your recent findings. As always, I wish you the very best.

Lloyd patted the young officer on his shoulder and then exited the Science Laboratory and walked to the Turbolift, taking it back up to Deck 1 where he proceeded to the VIP Quarters. When he got inside, the Professor changed into something a bit more comfortable and laid down in the bed. It wasn't long before he was fast asleep...

Jayden smiled at Prof Brewer as he watched him leave the Science Laboratory for his VIP Quarters to get some sleep. It was unfortunate that the Professor was so tired and couldn't stay and chat for a while. The Lieutenant JG hoped there would be more time during the mission for them to work together again.

With the particle findings all figured out for their arrival in the Mirror Universe, Jayden finished up on the Shields. He tapped his Combadge to alert Capt Little of his completion of both tasks.

Lt. JG DeGrazzio: Science Laboratory to Bridge! Lieutenant DeGrazzio here, the Professor concurred with my findings, Captain! I've also got the Shields operating in such a way that you'd think we've got an Infinity Modulator installed! I'm all done here in the Science Lab, Sir. Unless you need me to take on another task, I'll head back up to the Bridge.

The Chief Science Officer waited on Capt Little to respond to him, letting the Lieutenant JG know if he was finished in the lab for now and could return to his station on the Bridge. While Jayden waited on the Captain to reply, he triple checked all his particle findings for the interdimensional displacement device. Being a Science Officer, he was well aware of the existence of the Multiverse! If the calculations were not exactly precise, they could end up in another alternate universe which could be disastrous. It was Jayden's job to make sure that DID NOT HAPPEN!

The CO was busy planning his next move when Lt. JG DeGrazzio called from Deck 4.

Capt Little: Before you return to the Bridge, Mr. DeGrazzio, run your findings up to the medical area on Deck 3, liaise with the good Doctor, I want to make sure our Shields will hold, but just in case, we need a biological backup.

The Captain then awaited for the reply from his Chief Science Officer.

The Lieutenant JG nodded in approval at the Captain's order for him to meet with Dr. Tudismaque to discuss the need for a biological backup in the event the Shields should fail. This would be Jayden's first opportunity to actually speak with the Assistant Medical Officer of Whitestar, who works closely with Dr. Brewer, the Professor's twin brother.

Lt. JG DeGrazzio: Understood, Captain! I'm heading up to Sickbay now, Sir!

The Chief Science Officer picked up a PADD with all the data he wished to share with Dr. Tudismaque regarding the medical aspects of their trip to the Mirror Universe. Jayden left the Science Laboratory and took a short ride in the Turbolift up to Deck 3 where he exited and walked down the corridors to Sickbay. When the Lieutenant JG entered, he saw Dr. Tudismaque sitting in his office going over medical records of the crew.

Lt. JG DeGrazzio: Hello Doctor, how're you doing? The Captain asked me to go over my findings with you regarding the interdimensional displacement device's generation of particles to create the proper orifice to the Mirror Universe. Captain Little would like a biological backup in the unlikely event the Shields fail as we pass through the aperture.

Jayden waited for Dr. Tudismaque to focus his attention away from the medical records and onto the PADD he handed the Doctor. The Lieutenant JG took it upon himself to take a seat across from the Chief Medical Officer as he waited on a response from Event Horizon's Doctor.

Shutting off the monitor of medical records Jacques was looking at, he took the PADD from Lt. JG DeGrazzio and looked it over very carefully. The radiation in the hypothetical vortex would be quite dangerous to the crew, so he would have to start working on an inoculation right away. That way if the Shields failed, he would have a way to subdue the radiation poisoning that would follow from the exposure.

Lt. JG Tudismaque: Thank you for bringing this to my attention, Jayden. I will start working on a remedy to Sigma Radiation exposure right away! That way in the unlikely event of Shield failure, we'll be prepared with inoculations for the crew. This way nobody should suffer from any ill affects.

The Doctor waited to hear if there was anything else from Lt. JG DeGrazzio that needed to be brought to his attention. If there wasn't, Jacques needed to get right to work on developing the treatment per the Captain's orders. Being fully prepared was an excellent trait Capt Little was displaying, Dr. Tudismaque thought to himself.

Smiling at the Doctor, Jayden realized his task in Sickbay was now complete. He brought the PADD to Dr. Tudismaque's attention and he'll be working on an inoculation immediately.

Lt. JG DeGrazzio: You're welcome, Doctor. I'm heading back up to the Bridge. If you need my assistance with anything, please don't hesitate to call on me. I have some background in medical training as well.

The Lieutenant JG was pleased to see Dr. Tudismaque begin working with the PADD he gave him to create an inoculation to help with the possible Sigma Radiation exposure. With a jovial expression on his face, Jayden exited Sickbay and walked to the Turbolift and took it to the Bridge. Once he exited, he walked to where Capt Little and Cmdr Cypher was sitting and informed them of Dr. Tudismaque's progress.

Lt. JG DeGrazzio: Captain, Commander. Dr. Tudismaque has all the data on the Shields and the use of the interdimensional displacement device along with the Sigma Radiation involved with that. He's working on an inoculation to protect us from any ill affects. The Doctor will let me know if he needs any of my assistance. Can I return to my station, Sir?

Jayden stood in the center of the Bridge and waited on a response from his CO. Once he got the word, the Lieutenant JG would return to the Science Station at the rear of the Bridge. There, Jayden would be able to go over all the data he had on the Shields and his version of an Infinity Modulator he created in the Science Laboratory.

The Captain nodded at his Chief Science Officer's statement regarding the data. Then answered Jayden's inquiry regarding permission to resume his station on the Bridge.

Capt Little: Granted, Mr. DeGrazzio.

The CO then then turned towards his XO.

Capt Little: What do you say we get those Holodecks up and running again, Number One.

The Captain stood and turned towards the Operations Station.

Capt Little: Mr. Mitchell, set up a schedule that won't impede workflow about the ship and begin calling people down to Holodeck 2 for refresher courses at your earliest convenience, please.

Lewis then awaited everyone's replies.

Thom thought about what Capt Little said about bringing the Holodecks online and wondered if he wanted them to reduce their speed from maximum velocity. The Chief Engineer, PO3 Florenté took Holodeck 2 offline when LtCmdr Centares called down to Engineering asking for full power. The XO heard what the Captain said to Lt. Mitchell, so he was curious if the CO wanted to slow down their trek to Sector Omicron.

Cmdr Cypher: Captain, are you looking to slow us down from maximum velocity in order to bring the Holodecks back online? Jamie shut them down to give the engines full power. This ship was designed to keep it's primary systems online while all the power is allocated to the engines in the need of an accelerated escape. The Holodecks are not a primary system, Sir.

The Commander looked over at Capt Little to see what his reaction was going to be. Perhaps the Captain was in no hurry to get to their destination? Thom was sure he'd find out soon, since he could see the other Bridge officers were looking in the CO's direction for his answer as well.
