Holodeck 1 - Deck 4

After Chris obliterated the Tarturarians, he immediately noticed Capt Little and the Gorn were missing. These bastards got themselves a hostage! The Marine Captain was at a high level of dismay! Chris wanted to call the rest of the Squad into the simulation, but wasn't sure if they would be allowed to join. MCpt Lopez was unable to communicate with the Captain, so he was unsure of what to do next. The Gorn and Capt Little could be anywhere, perhaps even on a ship in orbit!

MCpt Lopez: Dammit all to Hell!

This was now a hostage situation and there was no communication with the Gorn holding the Captain. Chris had no idea what they wanted or where he was located. If the rest of his Squad was here, they could fan out and look for signs if the Captain was still in the complex somewhere, or if he left the planet. This series of unfortunate events left MCpt Lopez quite perplexed, to say the least.

The room in which the MCpt Lopez stood in now fell oddly silent... The only sound was a faint him coming from the device left by the Gorn. It beeped consistently like a communique. A sneering voice began to speak towards the now-settling dust.

Daimon Bok: We have your Captain. Lay down your weapons and prepare to be blown to pieces!

The concussive charge gave one last resounding beep before it exploded. The concussion force expanded, almost exponentially, knocking MCpt Lopez into the corridor wall almost 7 feet beyond the open door to the room. The bulkhead wall gave way above him, sprinkling more dust and cement fragments over the floor.

Daimon Bok: If you're still alive, Federation spy, my forces will join you shortly... Try to... Play nice!

The channel was severed, leaving MCpt Lopez to gather his thoughts and collect on his own knowledge. He had access to call in more ground support troops should he choose to, or he could go it alone, like a modern day Termination Machine!

With the limited amount of time MCpt Lopez had before a team of Gorn were coming to apprehend him for Daimon Bok, Chris tapped his Combadge to call for the assistance of his Marine Detachment. This was no time for a one-man hero scenario since the Captain's life was at stake.

MCpt Lopez: Lopez to Parra! Tony, I need you to bring the Squad to Holodeck 1 for a scenario. The Captain has been taken hostage and I'll be next! Outfit yourselves in LV-426 armament as soon as you all enter! Make it quick, Lieutenant!

The Marine Detachment Commander fortified himself in the second area he was in as he waited on 1Lt. Parra to enter the Holodeck and get their weapons ready to engage the hostile forces. Chris planned on bringing the full might of the Starfleet Marine Corps down upon Daimon Bok and his Gorn goons. They'll be dealing with more 22nd Century weapons too, as gruesome as they were!

Marine Detachment Commander's Office - Deck 3

Sitting in the Marine Detachment Commander's Office, keeping tabs on the Squad practicing on the Phaser Range, 1Lt. Parra heard the voice of MCpt Lopez through his Combadge. Tony immediately tapped his badge to respond.

1Lt. Parra: Yes, Sir! We'll be right there, Captain Lopez!

The 1st Lieutenant quickly ran down the corridor to the Phaser Range and entered to find the Squad joking around while comparing their scores. When Tony cleared his throat to make himself noticed, Sgt Hicks announced his arrival.

Sgt Hicks: Officer on deck!

Tony nodded in appreciation to Sgt Hicks as they all stood at attention with their weapons slung.

1Lt. Lopez: Captain Little has been taken hostage in Holodeck 1 and Captain Lopez needs our help with a rescue! We need to gear up LV-426 style as soon as we arrive! Master Sergeant Arbor, let's move 'em out!

The Deputy Detachment Commander waited on MSgt Arbor to lead the Squad to Holodeck 1 down on Deck 4. While watching them assemble, Tony thought to himself How in the world did Captain Little and Captain Lopez get themselves into this situation? Why can't they just pause it? If it's so bad, just tell the computer to end program! Regardless of what 1Lt. Parra had going on in his head, it was his mission to rescue Capt Little and assist MCpt Lopez no matter what simulated trouble they got themselves into.

Phaser Range - Deck 3

The Master Sergeant nodded to 1Lt. Parra and spoke up loud and clear, so that every Marine in the Phaser Range could here what he had to say. Cody was a no nonsense, by the book soldier in the Starfleet Marine Corps. He was not there to entertain the troops, he was there to make sure they served whatever function came down the path for them. Cody responded to 1Lt. Parra before addressing the Squad.

MSgt Arbor: YES, SIR!!! All right! We are doing this by the book and by the numbers. We're to get down to Holodeck 1 ASAP and do whatever it takes to rescue Captain Little from whatever trouble he got himself into. Get those Phaser Rifles stowed and let's move out, Marines! Hop to it, let's go, go, go!

The Squad quickly stowed the weapons they were using on the Phaser Range and filed out the door at a very quick pace. The Master Sergeant stowed his Phaser Rifle and followed the Squad out of the Range and exited the Marine Complex. 1Lt. Parra took up the rear, walking at a quickened rate, along with MSgt Arbor and the rest of the Squad with Sgt Hicks leading the way.

They went down to Deck 4 in shifts since they all couldn't fit in the Turbolift together. Once they were all together again, they made their way quickly passed Holodeck 2 and down the corridor to Holodeck 1 which was close to the Shuttlebay. Visible was a power conduit going from the power relays of the Holodeck Grid to a Shuttle that was powered up on the Flight Deck. It was obvious to everyone the Holodeck was getting it's power from the Shuttle sitting there.

With the doors to Holodeck 1 still closed, MSgt Arbor turned to 1Lt. Parra and spoke to him in a clear voice. That way there was no chance of any misunderstanding in this situation.

MSgt Arbor: Lieutenant Parra, we need you to open the doors to a running program. According to regulations, only a member of the crew with an officer's grade can do so. That would be you, Sir.

The Master Sergeant walked up to the display controls for the Holodeck and could see the program running was the Acheron Scenario with the safety protocols set to where occupants can be injured, severely, but no lethal force was authorized. All that was needed was for 1Lt. Parra to authorize entry and they would be able to enter and weaponize themselves under the LV-426 protocols.

Corridor Outside Holodeck 1 - Deck 4

Tony maneuvered his way through the Squad of Marines until he reached the Holodeck's control panel. Tapping in his code, the doors opened with a loud hiss making it possible for the Marines to enter a program already in progress. The Arch was also visible as 1Lt. Parra stepped inside. Tapping in the parameters for their weapons, Tony grabbed a M-41A Pulse Rifle for himself along with multiple magazines and grenades for the pump action launcher beneath the fully automatic 10mm located above and stepped inside.

1Lt. Parra: Okay Marines, enter the Holodeck and requisition your weapon of choice for this mission. Master Sergeant, make sure everyone is loaded up properly for this adventure. Watch our six.

The 1st Lieutenant watched as the Marines single file entered the Holodeck to get their weapons from the Arch. MSgt Arbor was the first to receive his Pulse Rifle and he stood by to make sure the rest of the Squad appropriated the correct weapon for the simulation specifically altered by Capt Little. Tony wondered if the Captain got himself taken hostage on purpose, as a way to test their training as Starfleet Marines.

Holodeck 1 - Deck 4

MSgt Arbor stood by with his M-41A Pulse Rifle and watched as Sergeants Hicks and Ferro along with Corporal Dietrich procured Pulse Rifles along with all the ammo necessary for this mission. Lance Corporal Drake acquired the M-56 Smartgun and harness for himself, placing it on and readying the weapon and the extra ammo packs as well. Lance Corporal Hudson got himself the M-41A Pulse Rifle and a M-314 Motion Tracker so he would be able to track any cloaked targets. Private 1st Class Vasquez got herself a Smartgun and harness along with extra ammo packs, then moved aside to secure it to herself. Private 1st Class Spunkmeyer got the Pulse Rifle for himself, as did Privates Crowe, Frost and Wierzbowski. All of them were now armed to the teeth, but then Sergeant Hicks returned to the Arch and got himself an Ithaca Model 37 12 gauge pump action shotgun.

MSgt Arbor: A shotgun, Sergeant?

The Sergeant smiled and replied, as he pumped a shell into the barrel...

Sgt Hicks: I like to keep this handy...for close encounters.

The Master Sergeant nodded in approval.

MSgt Arbor: Good luck with that, Dwayne.

Cody looked around at the Squad of Marines that were now ready to engage hostile enemy forces and continued to nod in approval.

MSgt Arbor: Uh huh! I got some absolute bad asses up in here! Let's go rescue Captain Little! We'll take out anything that prevents us from doing so!

The Master Sergeant turned towards 1Lt. Parra and performed a small smile as he spoke to his superior.

MSgt Arbor: We are ready, Lieutenant! What are your orders, Sir?

The Detachment Sergeant waited on 1Lt. Parra to give his orders on how they would proceed to MCpt Lopez's position up ahead. Even though this was just a simulation, Cody could sense the anticipation of combat in himself and the other Marines. This was going to be a great way to see what type of Captain they were under the command of. Albeit an Engineer with a brave soul to endure the rigorous torture of being a hostage, or a simple clown sipping coffee and watching the time it took to get to his location for shits 'n giggles. Time could only tell...

The 1st Lieutenant nodded to MSgt Arbor before looking over the Squad. Tony was proud of each and every one of them, the Master Sergeant was right in saying they were absolute bad asses ready for action. The Deputy Detachment Commander paced the Squad as he gave his orders.

1Lt. Parra: Drake, Vasquez, I want you up taking point with those Smartguns. Hudson, I want you up there with them using the Motion Tracker making sure there's no attackers hiding in plain site. Master Sergeant, I want you and Hicks covering our flank. The rest of us will keep our heads on a swivel, weapons hot. Captain Lopez should be in the next area, so let's get moving.

Together they moved as a unit while making sure there was nothing in the area but the dead bodies of those who crossed Capt Little and MCpt Lopez. It didn't take them long to reach the location of their Marine Captain, holding up behind a pillar. Tony was pleased to see his friend was not harmed by whatever made him so filthy.

1Lt. Parra: Good to see you, Captain. We're here at ordered, Sir. Do you know that status of Captain Little? The Squad and I are ready to commit to a rescue party! We await your word!

The Deputy Detachment Commander waited on orders from MCpt Lopez now that they were all together in the area the Captain was abducted from. Tony looked at LCpl Hudson to see if anything was showing up on the Motion Tracker, but the Lance Corporal shook his head indicating there was nothing detected at this time. So far, they were safe from attack...

Chris was relieved when he saw 1Lt Parra arrive with the entire Squad of Marines! They surrounded his area making sure all was secure before MCpt Lopez could respond to Tony's inquiry regarding Capt Little. Standing up from his crouched position behind a pillar, Chris responded to the 1st Lieutenant.

MCpt Lopez: Captain Little has been taken captive by Daimon Bok and a team of both Breen and Gorn working together. I have no idea how a Ferengi like him ever got into a position of power to pull off such a thing. Bok must've gotten himself a load of Gold Pressed Latinum to pay them both to do his bidding since they normally don't get along. Diplomacy is no longer an objective since they're all considered to be mercenaries, that being the case, there won't be any political turmoil within the Gorn Hegemony or the Breen Confederacy if we terminate with extreme prejudice.

The Marine Detachment Commander looked around at his Squad of tough hombres and smiled to himself. Chris figured they would enjoy a seek and destroy mission like this. Formulating an attack plan in his head, Chris gave the following orders to the group of Marines standing in wait.

MCpt Lopez: Alright, listen up, this is what we're going to do... Tony, take Sergeant Ferro, Lance Corporal Drake and Private Wierzbowski with you to the south side of the next area. Master Sergeant Arbor, take Sergeant Hicks and guard our flank! The rest will come with me. Weapons hot, shoot to kill, except Captain Little of course. He's our rescue target. Let's move out!

Chris watched as the Marines coming with him grouped together, and the others grouped around 1Lt. Parra. They got their weapons even more ready than they were. MSgt Arbor and Sgt Hicks would be remaining here to ensure none of the Breen or Gorn came up from behind. They were getting ready to advance beyond the large pillar MCpt Lopez took cover behind and those with Motion Trackers activated them so all could hear there were no active pings in the immediate vicinity. As Chris and Tony moved forward towards the next opening in the complex, they all listened intensely for anything to indicate there was life out there.

The Master Sergeant watched as the Detachment of Marines moved forward towards the next area ahead of them. MSgt Arbor and Sgt Hicks would be remaining behind in this area to make sure neither Breen,Gorn or Jem'Hadar could come up and flank the Squad. They walked around the medium sized walled in area making sure no one could pass them without a fight.

Sgt Hicks: You know, Sarge, I really don't like this mercenary group of misfits. Taking Captain Little like this and for what? Do they want a ransom or just to hold him as a way to get even more hostages? As I heard the Klingons say...Ferengi have no honor.

MSgt Arbor: The Klingons are right about them, Hicks. Honor has no place in a society driven solely on profit. They'd sell their own mothers into slavery if it could make them some Gold Pressed Latinum. The only Ferengi I've ever met was the son of Grand Nagus Rom, who's name is Captain Nog of the USS Defiant. As far as I know, he's the only Ferengi in Starfleet. Profit didn't drive him and Nog worked solely on his ambitions to better himself. As a Captain he is well respected and it's greatly deserved. Nog is someone this Bok could take some lessons from on civility.

Neither Arbor or Hicks had a Motion Tracker with them, so the Master Sergeant called for the Arch and procured himself one. Turning it on, MSgt Arbor set it to scan the area at irregular intervals so no one could approach with a predicted pace. Judging by the audible clicks the device made, there was nothing in the immediate area. That didn't give either Arbor or Hicks a reason to become relaxed, it only caused them to become even more alert. They both knew it was always calmest right before a storm.
