Bridge - Deck 1  Reply with quote

The Klingon Ensign sat in the Captain's Chair on the Bridge and nodded to Lt. Mitchell as he took his station. Hearing that all systems were running at optimum efficiency was pleasing. Jo'Kla was curious as to why the Chief Operations Officer didn't relieve him when he came on the Bridge left the Yeoman bewildered.

Ens Jo'Kla: Thank you, Lieutenant.

The young officer wanted to ask Lt. Mitchell why he wasn't relieved of the Bridge yet, but his pride as a Klingon prevented him from asking a question that could be construed as lacking in self-confidence. Jo'Kla figured he would be relieved of the Command Chair when the time was right, by whomever it would was going to be.

After Thom left the Holodeck on Deck 4, he proceeded to his Quarters on Deck 2 and changed out of his dress uniform and back in to his black duty uniform before heading to the Bridge on Deck 1 to relieve Ens Jo'Kla of his current task. Entering the Command Center, Cmdr Cypher saw the Klingon Ensign sitting in the Captain's chair proudly and Lt. Mitchell at the Ops Station.

Cmdr Cypher: Mr. Jo'Kla, what's our status?

As the Commander waited to hear what the Yeoman had to say, he looked around the Bridge and expected to see the rest of the officers reporting to their stations shortly. From the demeanor of the Klingon, the XO could tell there wouldn't be any pressing information he needed to convey to the Executive Officer.

The Yeoman stood up when he heard the XO ask for a status report, so he gave Cmdr Cypher all the current information he had available. So far only Lt. Mitchell supplied him with the status of the Ops Station's displays. The rest of the data came from the center console that was situated between the CO's and XO's chairs on the Bridge.

Ens Jo'Kla: We're still on course for Sector Omicron, there's nothing on the sensors worthy of our attention and all systems are operating efficiently, well within expected parameters, Sir.

While remaining at the standing position, the Ensign waited to hear if he was relieved of his watch on the Bridge. Jo'Kla really enjoyed the amount of time in the Captain's chair and felt honored he was given the opportunity to command the ship, even if it was only for a short time. The Yeoman wondered if the situation would occur again while they were on the clandestine mission to the alternate universe. If the opportunity did present itself, Jo'Kla would be ready.

Thom was pleased to hear that all was going well on the Bridge under the Yeoman's watch. The XO commended the young Klingon Ensign before relieving him of his Bridge duty.

Cmdr Cypher: Good work, Ensign. Thanks for minding the store for us. This concludes your Bridge duty for now, I relieve you. You can return to your normal duties as our Yeoman. But, as for now, why don't you get some rest.

The Commander walked over to his chair on the Bridge and took a seat. He knew the remaining members of the Bridge crew should be reporting in shortly. Since Prof Brewer wasn't needed on the Bridge at this time, he would most likely be in his Quarters going over the mission parameters so he would be fully appraised of the situation when they arrived in Sector Omicron.

The young Klingon nodded to Cmdr Cypher and responded to him being his relief of duty aboard the Bridge. He wondered where the Captain was since he was first to leave the Holodeck when the service for Capt Adonis ended. Jo'Kla was able to watch the entire thing on the main viewscreen on the Bridge, even as the Event Horizon crew spoke among themselves before they exited Holodeck 2.

Ens Jo'Kla: I stand relieved, Commander. Thank you for the opportunity to serve, Sir. I'll be in my Quarters should the Captain need me. I'll be making an entry into my personal log about my experience here on the Bridge.

The Ensign walked to the Turbolift on the Port side of the Bridge and took it to Deck 4 where his Quarters were located. When Jo'Kla entered his room, he relaxed in a chair and began entering his experiences of being on Bridge duty for the first time in his life onto his PADD. If Capt Little had a need for him, the Yeoman was ready.

After the Yeoman left the Bridge, Thom tapped the intercom panel by his chair and called out to the crew of Event Horizon. The XO wanted them all to report in once they arrived at their stations. That way when Capt Little eventually made his way to the Bridge, he would have a full report from his entire Senior Staff.

Cmdr Cypher: Attention, this is Commander Cypher. All Senior Staff members are to report in once you've arrived at your assigned stations. Thank you. Cypher out.

The Commander sat in his chair on the Bridge and waited to hear back from everyone. Since Lt. Mitchell was already on the Bridge and gave his report to Ens Jo'Kla, a report from Cole was unnecessary. As for everyone else, it was their duty to respond. Except, of course, for Prof Brewer. Lloyd was not an officer or member of the crew, he was a Mission Specialist and only had to report in when he felt it was necessary. Otherwise, the Professor's location can be easily determined by the ship's computer.

After Ajay finished changing back into his duty uniform, he went straight to the Bridge and logged into the Flight Control Station. Seeing that they were still on course for Sector Omicron and moving at a substantial speed he factored their ETA into his report to Cmdr Cypher.

Lt. Commander Centares: Commander, we're still on course to Sector Omicron and our ETA is 2 days, 7 hours and 11 minutes. We still have plenty of time to run the Holodeck exercises the Captain has in mind for all of us.

The Chief Flight Control Officer sat at his station and marveled at how fast they were traveling while using the experimental Coaxial Warp Drive on this Nova Class Refit. Ajay took pride at being the pilot for this journey and looked forward to a successful mission to the Alternate Universe they were heading for to conduct their clandestine observation of the rumor of an attack fleet being built for the purpose of an invasion into the Prime Universe.

Jayden stepped out onto the Bridge and quickly moved over to Science Station I and entered his personal user information into the console and began running a systems check on all the sensor equipment. Once that was complete, he scanned the area between their current location and Sector Omicron. When nothing out of the ordinary appeared on his sensor consoles, he reported his lack of findings to the XO.

Lt. JG DeGrazzio: Commander Cypher, all sensors are operating well within the range of excellence. I've run a sensor sweep of our trajectory to Sector Omicron and as of yet, there is nothing to report, Sir.

The Lieutenant JG continued monitoring the sensors on the consoles at Science Station I for anything worthy of alerting the XO about. Jayden didn't anticipate anything to interfere with their arrival to their destination, but nevertheless kept a diligent watch on the displays. If anything did show up, the Chief Science Officer would alert Cmdr Cypher immediately.

Main Engineering - Deck 7  Reply with quote

The Chief Engineer entered through the double doors to find Main Engineering exactly as he left it. Jamie was back in his duty uniform and ready to continue with his work. When the Petty Officer heard Cmdr Cypher over the Com-System, he tapped his Combadge to report in after he went to the Main Systems Display table.

PO3 Florenté: Engineering to Bridge! Everything in Engineering is exactly how I left it, Commander! Purring like a kitten!

Jamie monitored all the systems in Engineering from where he was standing at the Main System Display table. The Coaxial Warp Core was a marvelous feat of Engineering, the Petty Officer thought to himself. PO3 Florenté was very happy to have the experience working here, it was a shame it was only temporary. But Jamie did love his work on Infiniti and considered it to be his home.

Sickbay - Deck 3  Reply with quote

Dr. Tudismaque entered Sickbay and was pleased to find it undisturbed from the way he left it a few hours ago. Jacques changed into his black duty uniform in his Quarters before his returning to Event Horizon's medical bay. As the young Doctor entered his office, he heard the XO calling for a report form all Senior Staff members. Tapping his Combadge, Dr. Tudismaque reported in.

Lt. JG Tudismaque: Dr. Tudismaque to Bridge, all is fine here in Sickbay. No casualties to report at this time, Commander.

The Chief Medical Officer sat in the chair at his deck and went over the medical records of the entire crew. Making sure if there were any physicals needed, the individuals would be called into Sickbay so Dr. Tudismaque could run the usual battery of tests. With this being his first assignment as a Doctor, he was going to be a stickler for regulations regarding the physical fitness of his crew.
