Charrothe smiled at Capt Bennet and Dr. Edison as they approached where he was sitting between his parents. The Lieutenant JG couldn't be any happier, knowing that his family was going to make it through this mess, that was...until his younger brother, Jerdan was aboard. When the Doctor asked how his parents were doing, Charrothe stood up and shook his hand.
Lt. JG Kaaha:
They're doing well, Dr. Edison, thanks to your surgical skills with a laser scalpel!
Looking over towards Capt Bennet, the Lieutenant JG smiled brightly as he introduced her and Dr. Bennet to his parents.
Lt. JG Kaaha:
Mother, Father, this is Captain Bennet and Dr. Edison. It was under her direction, along with Commander Sladek's to locate you both and beam you directly here. The Doctor removed the Xenomorph embryos you both had inside you and the Captain beamed them in a wide dispersal pattern into space above New Bajor. Captain, Doctor? These are my parents, Orte Chev and Orte Xoya. After my biological father was accidentally killed, my mother was alone for quite some time before Orte Chev came into our lives. Soon after they married, Mother became pregnant and then my younger brother Jerdan was born. A few years later, I joined Starfleet Academy and my family moved to New Bajor. My step-father became the Administrator of the colony of New Rakantha while my mother raised Jerdan. I thank you both from the very bottom of my heart that you brought my parents back to me. Once Jerdan is with us, our family unit will be complete. Thanks to the both of you and Commander Sladek. Is the Commander on the Bridge, Captain?
As the Chief Sec/Tac Officer waited to hear back from Capt Bennet regarding Cmdr Sladek's location, Charrothe could see that his parents were very happy to be alive and looked forward to the reunion of their family. Now that Dr. Edison said that they could go to a cabin to relax and get something to eat, the Lieutenant JG knew his parents wouldn't want to remain in Sickbay any longer than absolutely necessary. Lt. JG Kaaha was hoping to have some time to speak with Cmdr Sladek and thank him for being so adamant about getting his parents aboard Eureka for emergency surgery. Since the XO was most likely busy on the Bridge, that time would have to come later. For now, Charrothe was happy to be with both his parents, Capt Bennet and Dr. Edison. _________________

The Captain smiled at both of Lt. JG Kaaha's parents as she welcomed them aboard the USS Eureka. Claire made it a point to let them know they were going to get their son, Jerdan, aboard as well so they could be united together.
Capt Bennet:
Welcome aboard the Starship Eureka, I hope you're both feeling well enough to retreat to the guest cabin we have setup for you. Our ship will be the last to bring up the children from New Bajor and your son, Orte Jerdan, said he would not leave until all the children were beamed up from the surface first. So your son will be coming up to Eureka as soon as his task is complete. Your son, Charrothe, is a member of our family, so by extension, that makes you both members of our family as well. Our Yeoman, Ensign Gus Montoya, will be at your disposal as soon as he returns from his current assignment.
Claire wondered how Ens Montoya was doing with Capt Sull's canine companion on the Holodeck. The Yeoman must be aware by now that Patience was a sentient android and used the PADD to communicate her thoughts on whatever came to her mind. Concerned about the amount of time that had passed since Gus left for Capt Sull's cabin, the Captain tapped her Combadge.
Capt Bennet:
Bennet to Ensign Montoya! How are things going with you and Captain Sull's canine friend? Lieutenant Kaaha's parents are awake and will be going to their guest cabin shortly, I'll need you to be at their disposal, that way they can have everything they need while they're aboard Eureka.
The CO waited on hearing back from Ens Montoya for an update on the status of his assignment with walking Capt Sull's android canine, Patience. Claire knew it wouldn't be too long before they would be done running around on the Holodeck and perhaps Gus could bring Patience here to see Azeri so she would know her J'Naii companion was doing just fine. That way, the Yeoman could escort Mr. and Mrs. Orte to the guest cabin that was reserved for them. _________________

The Ensign was playing with Patience on the Holodeck by throwing her a Frisbee so she could catch it while the flying disk was still in the air! They were both having a lot of fun together, when Gus heard Capt Bennet over his Combadge. Tapping the insignia on his chest, Ens Montoya acknowledged the Captain’s call.
Ens Montoya:
Ensign Montoya here! Understood, Captain. I’ll bring Patience to Sickbay with me so she could see Captain Sull. She’s been making inquiries about the Captain since we’ve been here on the Holodeck. We’ll see you soon, Montoya out!
Calling Patience over to his side, Gus informed the canine android that she would soon be in the presence of her companion.
Ens Montoya:
C’mon, Patience! We’re going to Sickbay so you can see Captain Sull!
Looking down on the PADD, the Yeoman saw one word appear in the text area of the display.
YAY!
Gus was totally surprised when he first went to collect the dog from Capt Sull’s cabin and heard the chime from the PADD with the question regarding what adventure they were going to go on in the Holodeck. The Ensign had no idea the canine was an android, and a sentient one at that! Gus figured they must have had a laugh at his ignorance on the status of Patience. Ens Montoya exited Holodeck 3 and went to the Turbolift and took it down to Deck 8, where Sickbay was located. Patience walked happily at his side the entire way. When they entered the Medical Facility aboard Eureka, Gus walked over to where he saw Capt Bennet standing beside the Biobeds where Lt. JG Kaaha’s parents were sitting up speaking with each other and the Lieutenant JG. Patience went over to the Biobed where Capt Sull was resting and made happy dog noises for her companion to hear.
Ens Montoya:
I’m here, Captain!
After announcing his arrival, the Yeoman quickly walked over to the Biobed where Capt Sull was lying and handed the Captain the PADD Patience used to communicate with.
Ens Montoya:
Here’s her PADD, Captain Sull. Patience was a lot of fun to be with! Thank you for allowing me to take her to the Holodeck for some Frisbee! I’m sure she had a good time too!
Standing in the area between both Captains, Gus waited to hear a response from either of them while waiting on Mr. and Mrs. Orte to be ready to be escorted to the guest cabin the Yeoman made the arrangements for earlier, when Gus was in the Doctor’s office. Ens Montoya was interested in hearing what Capt Sull had to say about him taking Patience to the Holodeck to play the flying disk game together. Gus wasn’t sure if the J’Naii Captain even knew what a Frisbee was. If the Captain was clueless, the Yeoman would educate her on what the game entailed. _________________

Azeri sat up some more and took the PADD from the Ensign’s outreached hand and smiled as best she could in the Biobed she was laying in. The beds in Sickbay were obviously designed for efficiency, not to be confused with luxury, so the Captain was looking forward to resting in her own bed in the cabin she had on Deck 1. Knowing that the Yeoman would be escorting Charrothe’s parents to their cabin, Azeri would ask the Doctor if she could walk to her Quarters on her own.
Capt Sull:
Thank you, Ensign. Doctor? Would it be possible for me to recuperate in my own bed, the Biobed isn’t exactly very comfortable on my back.
As Azeri waited to hear what Dr. Edison had to say, the Captain observed what was going on in Sickbay. Since they weren’t loading up with the refugees from New Bajor yet, Capt Sull knew there wasn’t much happening on the Bridge that would need her immediate attention. With Claire doing such a superb job at being the Commanding Officer of the USS Eureka, Azeri knew there was no one else she would leave in command of the California Class Starship while she recuperated. _________________

Maxwell turned back towards Capt Sull and shook his head to indicate he did not approve of her going off alone to her cabin on Deck 1. Looking over towards Capt Bennet, Dr. Edison made a suggestion that between Claire and Patience, he would release Azeri into their care to return the Captain to her Quarters.
Cmdr Edison:
I don’t want to release you on your own to walk the corridors just yet, Captain Sull. Perhaps Captain Bennet can escort you there along with your canine friend? What say you, Claire?
The Doctor waited on Capt Bennet to respond to his proposal as Maxwell went over to the Biobed where Capt Sull was sitting up and ran another scan of her vitals. Seeing that Azeri’s status indicators were all in the green, Dr. Edison smiled as he patted Patience on her head.
Cmdr Edison:
Looks like your companion is ready to go to your cabin with you, Patience. As soon as Captain Bennet lets me know she can escort Captain Sull, you’ll be on your way.
The Chief Medical Officer kept a smile on his face as the dog wagged its tail with happiness. Maxwell returned to looking towards Capt Bennet as Dr. Edison waited on her reply on whether or not she could escort Capt Sull to her Quarters. If for some reason Claire could not, then the Doctor would just have to escort Azeri himself. That way Capt Sull could rest comfortably in her own bed and recuperate from her traumatic brain injury, which the Sull Symbiote and Dr. Edison’s skills was able to repair. _________________

Azeri grabbed Claire's arm and lifted herself off the Biobed and stood on her own two feet with the assistance of Capt Bennet. The Captain walked slowly towards the doors to the corridor outside Sickbay with her canine companion following along side her. Capt Sull was very happy to be on her way to her cabin on Deck 1 with the help of Capt Bennet.
Capt Sull:
Thank you, Captain Bennet. I greatly appreciate your assistance with helping me to my cabin.
Together they walked out of Sickbay and down the corridor to the Turbolift and entered. They rode the lift up to Deck 1 where they exited and continued walking slowly down the corridor to Capt Sull's cabin. Once they reached the doors, Patience entered first, followed by Claire and Azeri. Capt Bennet slowly walked Capt Sull over to her bed and gently sat her down on it. Azeri moved herself to the center of the bed and laid back with her head on the pillow. This was actually the first time the Captain laid in her bed and found it to be tremendously comfortable. Patting at her side, to indicate to Patience to join her on the bed, the canine android jumped up and laid down beside Azeri.
Capt Sull:
Thank you again, Claire. I feel much better lying here in my own bed. Especially with Patience at my side to keep me company. If I need any further assistance, that my companion here cannot help me with, I'll be sure to call someone. Gus seems really helpful, so if he's available, I'll request his assistance if it's needed.
While lying on the bed, Capt Sull smiled at Capt Bennet, knowing the current Captain of Eureka would probably be going to the Bridge next. Azeri also felt a little relieved that she would be out of the way in the event any of the refugees from New Bajor needed medical assistance in Sickbay. With Claire in command of the California Class vessel, Capt Sull knew full well that Eureka was in excellent hands. _________________
