Jamie could see that LtCmdr McLeod was in his office and was looking quite distraught. It was obvious that Angus got really bad news in the message he was reading. The Crewman didn't want the Bridge's request to go unanswered so he replied to Cmdr Calzada by tapping his Combadge.

Cmna Florent?: Crewman Florent? here, Commander. Engineering is ready for launch, Sir. But Mr. McLeod seems to have received some really bad news and looks very upset. Maybe you should come down here and talk to him?

The Crewman kept an eye on the Chief Engineer as he sat behind his desk with a pale expression on his face. Jamie felt so bad for him, even though he had no idea what happened to LtCmdr McLeod.

David went over to the Ops Station to see what news LtCmdr McLeod had received that could've upset him so badly, and went numb at what he saw. The Chief Engineer's neice had been brutally murdered by a terrorist sect over in the Outer Rim of the Federation. The XO knew he was going to have to let Angus go to be with his family. David started the LOA procedure for LtCmdr McLeod as he replied to Cmna Florent?.

Cmdr Calzada: Thank you for reporting, Jamie. Let Mr. McLeod be for now, okay? He's going to be leaving us to be with his family due to a horrible tragedy.

The XO really felt compassion for LtCmdr McLeod's loss. Losing family in an act of terrorism was one of the worst things a person could ever experience. It was even worse than losing a loved one during a war, since loss was expected in some degree.

Jamie heard Cmdr Calzada's message from the Bridge, but his curiosity forced him to move closer to where LtCmdr McLeod was sitting at the console. The Crewman saw the tears running down the Chief Engineer's face and that broke Jamie's heart. He couldn't help but hug Angus after that.

Cmna Florent?: I'm so sorry, Sir. I really am.

The Chief Engineer hugged his Mate in return before standing up from his chair and resting a hand on Jamie's shoulder as his way of saying 'goodbye'. Angus smiled as he looked down at Jamie before leaving Engineering to gather his belongings and exit Infiniti from the Gangway that was still attached to Deck 8. Jamie wiped the tears from his eyes as he sat in the Chief Engineer's chair, alone.

Aeryck slowly paced the Bridge as he watched all of the officers at their stations getting ready for the launch from SB34. As the Admiral was walking between the Tac/Sec and Ops Stations, he heard a message coming through his Combadge from Tony.

RAdm Martinelli: Martinelli to Admiral Arayuss. The weapons are ready for transport here in the Replication Center. Coordinate with the Ops Officers of both locales to get all the crates into Infiniti's cargo bay. Then you guys are set to go. We'll keep replicating more of these weapons so the Marines and Security teams here will have them as well.

Adm Arayuss: Sounds good, Tony. Thank you for getting them done so quickly. I'll keep you posted on our progress, Arayuss out.

The Admiral walked over to the Ops Station.

Adm Arayuss: Lieutenant Trylon, coordinate the transport of the weapons and beam them directly to Cargo Bay One.

While standing across the console from Lt. Trylon, the Admiral received a message from his Administrative Assistant.

Ens Russ: Admiral, two new members of Oriskany's crew will be riding aboard Infiniti to the rendezvous. Lt. Commander Little, their new Chief Engineer and Lieutenant Graham, their new Tactical/Security Officer. They'll both be aboard shortly, they're aware of your preparation for immediate departure.

Adm Arayuss: Understood, Andrea. Please make the necessary arrangements for Lt. Commander McLeod to return to Earth as soon as possible, he's had a terrible tragedy in his family and needs to return home immediately. Thank you, Ensign. Arayuss out.

Aeryck continued his walk around the Bridge, patting the shoulders of the hard working officers as he passed them by. It reminded him of being on the Bridge of Explorer before the incident that caused the disappearance of the ship, along with himself. What an adventure that was...

William did immediately as Adm Arayuss instructed and coordinated with Ops Officer in the Replication Center and transported all of the containers of weapons to Cargo Bay 1.

Lt. Trylon: The weapons are aboard, Admiral.

The Lieutenant had never taken orders directly from the CinC before and felt honored to be on the Bridge in his presence. William heard about the adventures that took place aboard Explorer and knew they were legendary.

Aeryck nodded toward the Ops Officer to acknowledge the weapons being brought aboard. Standing near Como Carpathia, he addressed the Commodore about their status.

Adm Arayuss: We're just waiting on the two officers hitching a ride to Oriskany, as soon as they're aboard we can launch.

The Admiral remained beside his friend of many years and waited on the arrival of LtCmdr Little and Lt. Graham. Aeryck hoped they wouldn't take too long, for if they did, he'd give Como Carpathia the order to launch without them.

Little arrived at the hatch way and looked around for a wall panel. As Lewis tapped it, he got the desired response from Infiniti's computer.

Infiniti-Com: Please state inquiry.

Lt. Commander Little: Where may I find Commodore Carpathia?

Infiniti-Com: Commodore E.J. Carpathia may be found on Deck One, Bridge. Please follow the wall panels to lead you to your destination.

Lt. Commander Little: Thank you.

Infiniti-Com: Gratitude is not required, I am a computer.

Little followed the lights until he reached the Turbolift, which took him to Infiniti's Bridge.

Lt. Commander Little: Lieutenant Commander Little, reporting for duty, Sir!

He saluted both the Commodore and the Admiral, he noted was there.

Lt. Commander Little: I have noted you do not currently have a Chief of Engineering, Commodore. With your permission, I would like to stay aboard until such time as the position can be filled?

Lewis stood at attention and waited to be told to stand at ease and for Commodore Carpathia's response.

Quickly Peter arrived at the hatch for Infiniti. Crewmen were getting the ship ready and the corridors were busy. Upon entering the ship he noted that it was a superb ship to serve on and made his way to the Bridge. The Lieutenant familiarized himself with every ship's layout a long time ago when he was preparing his career in Tac/Sec. He had no trouble finding the Turbolift and the Bridge. Peter noticed the Lt. Commander he had seen in the Tavern earlier and gave him a slight nod, not knowing if he had seen the gesture, he looked briefly at the Tactical Officer at his station and then turned to the Admiral.

Lt. Graham: Lieutenant Graham reporting for duty, Sir.

The Lieutenant remained there as he waited to be addressed by Adm Arayuss. Ens Russ must have read my mind that I wanted to leave as soon as possible. he thought to himself.

The Admiral was pleased to see the two officers arrive on the Bridge, now they could get underway to rendezvous with Oriskany and Whitestar to deliver the weapons that were so desperately needed. Aeryck heard LtCmdr Little's request to remain aboard Infiniti since they just lost LtCmdr McLeod to a family tragedy and responded himself.

Adm Arayuss: If you could serve at Infiniti's Chief Engineer till we arrive at our destination, that will be fine Mr. Little. Oriskany is going to desperately need your expertise when we arrive.

Looking over towards Lt. Graham, the Admiral continued.

Adm Arayuss: Mr. Graham, it wasn't Ensign Russ that added the urgency of our launch, it's the emergency situation with those two Starships in Sector Epsilon that has us in a hurry to get there. When you get to the quarters you're assigned, you should get yourself familiar with the Deltauran threat from Infiniti's database. The new weapons that were just transported over will be distributed to all Marines and Security Personnel so they can retake the vessels. You're both dismissed.

The Admiral, with a mild amount of impatience, turned to Como Carpathia.

Adm Arayuss: Commodore, let's get going! We have two ships to save.

Aeryck leaned up against the railing on the Bridge and watched as the crew made the preparations to launch from their berth within SB34. He hoped it wouldn't be long before they arrived at Sector Epsilon to deliver the weapons so desperately needed.
