Galleria - Level 57  Reply with quote

After a rather long Turbolift ride up through the very center of the Starbase from the Gangway pylons, Capt Zh'Osha arrived on the Mall level of the Galleria. Pi'Lar didn't know what to partake in and decided she should just take a slow walk around the ring that overlooked the lower levels of the Galleria.

Since RAdm Martinelli had some time before he would debrief the Senior Staff of Sutherland regarding their mission to Sector Epsilon and the death of Captain Marino, Tony was walking the upper level of the Galleria when he saw Capt Zh'Osha. The Rear Admiral was a little surprised to see the Captain not aboard Whitestar overseeing every single repair and rushing the technicians and service personnel with her Andorian impatience. Capt Zh'Osha did not notice Tony until he walked up to greet her.

RAdm Martinelli: Hello Captain Zh'Osha. I'm surprised to see you here at the Galleria. I would have thought you would be busy whipping the repair crew into a frenzy to get Whitestar ready to launch as soon as the rest of your crew returns from assignment aboard Event Horizon.

The Chief of Fleet Operations smiled at the blue-ish skinned woman as he stood in front of her. Tony was well aware of the Andorian feeling of superiority over every other race, especially those whom they refer to as "pink-skins". RAdm Martinelli was of Italian descent, therefore his skin wasn't pink, but a olive-skinned tone. But be that as it may, Tony had a feeling the Captain was going to be her insubordinate self. But if she got out of line, the Rear Admiral would make sure Whitestar took even longer to repair by making Oriskany a priority.

The blue tips of her antennae brightened momentarily as if anticipating an attack, but just as quickly subsiding once she had noticed who was addressing her.

Capt Zh'Osha: Why, Admiral, not as surprised as I. Shouldn't you be in some office somewhere filing who-knows-what paperwork in some dusty drawer?

The Andorian smiled slights to show she was in jest with RAdm Martinelli.

Capt Zh'Osha: I was just there, as a matter of fact, Admiral... The chair was just too... "Momma Bear" for my like... I'm sorry. Do you know Goldilocks? It's an Ancient Earth text... Well, in any case, I ordered a new chair, once it's installed, I'll head right back there, I can assure you!

The Andorian waited for the reply from the Rear Admiral of Administrative Duties.

Tony was well aware of the Terran tale of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. He was born in Italy, not some other world with no knowledge of such children's stories. The Rear Admiral was somewhat surprised Capt Zh'Osha knew of this tale since it was hardly Andorian in nature. Regardless, he answered the Captain of USS Whitestar.

RAdm Martinelli: I don't file paperwork into dusty drawers, Captain. That's what Lieutenant Russ is for. Although, I don't believe there's any dusty drawers here on Starbase 34.

The Chief of Fleet Operations smiled, indicating he was aware of her forked-tongued sense of humor.

RAdm Martinelli: I don't know if you heard, but Sutherland returned with it's Captain dead from an apparent asphyxiation. I'll be leading an investigation into how this happened with Sutherland's Senior Officers. If you'd like to sit in on that, you're welcomed to do so. I would appreciate your Aenarian insights into all of this. Having Captain Marino just choke to death while on mission just seems really strange to me.

Tony waited to hear if Capt Zh'Osha was willing to accompany him back to his office for the debriefing of Sutherland's Senior Staff. If not, he would just handle it himself. RAdm Martinelli was quite accomplished at getting to the bottom of things on his own. The Rear Admiral just appreciated assistance from races who had inherent insight into people who may be withholding information.

The Captain thought for a moment before replying.

Capt Zh'Osha: Perhaps it may interest you to know, that aside from my natural talents, I once served in the Aenarian Military's Judicial Congregation... Something similar to your Judge Advocate System... In any case, I accept, conditionally... Admiral Arayuss should also be present, aside from the obvious, he is part Betazoid, his abilities would also be in assistance.

The blue female waited on the reply of the Rear Admiral.

Tony was pleased Capt Zh'Osha would be in attendance during the debriefing of Sutherland's Senior Officers. As for Pi'Lar's condition... Having Adm Arayuss there was already something the Rear Admiral was planning on, as well as Como Carpathia as well since he was the Division One Commander. They needed to find out precisely who or what was responsible for the death of Capt Marino.

RAdm Martinelli: I was already expecting Admiral Arayuss to be there, his abilities go far beyond that of a typical Betazoid considering he's a hybrid between their DNA and the Romulans. Specifically designed for psionic interrogation and even attacks as well. A pretty fearsome little guy, I'll say that much. I'm just glad he's on our side, having defected to the Federation quite some time ago. Commodore Carpathia will be there too, since he's the Division One Commander. Since no Marines are involved, it won't be necessary for General Alderez to sit in on this meeting.

The Chief of Fleet Operations stood there waiting to hear if Capt Zh'Osha had anything else to add. They weren't needed in his office yet since Tony was still waiting on Cmdr Kee to report in after he got his things settled aboard Oriskany. RAdm Martinelli knew the Commander would want to spend a little time chatting with Capt Calzada while he was there. Tony was just waiting on a call from Lt. JG Russ on when it was time to return to his office on the Administrative Level.

The Captain was eased and she showed it with her antennae.

Capt Zh'Osha: Very well, seems like you already have this in order... Although... Will there be comfortable seating?

The Aenarian hoped she would have somewhere comfortable to put her delicate derriere after the atrocities aboard Whitestar culminating in what she assumed would be bruising about now.

The Rear Admiral smiled broadly as he replied to Capt Zh'Osha.

RAdm Martinelli: The seats in my Conference Room are quite comfortable, to say the least, Captain. Lieutenant Russ will see to all the amenities. If you have any specific desires, don't hesitate to let her know.

Tony looked around the Galleria's food court and wondered if Pi'Lar was hungry.

RAdm Martinelli: If you're hungry, we can get something to eat while we wait on Andrea to let us know Commander Kee is up there waiting? There are several places down there that have exquisite food. Andorian delicacies too, from what I've heard.

The Rear Admiral of Administrative Duties waited to hear what Capt Zh'Osha had to say in regard to getting something to eat together. Tony was famished himself and was eager to get something into his stomach that wasn't from a Replicator.

The Captain nodded to show her approval of the Rear Admiral 's invitation.

Capt Zh'Osha: So long as your 'Promenade' doesn't put pineapple on pizza, I'll eat anything but the Wu-tang!

Pi'Lar followed RAdm Martinelli a short distance along the mall levels, past all manor of dining experiences before finally stopping at what appeared to say 'Gabriel's Taco *Bell*', with some emphasis placed on the last word as if it meant something...

Tony shuddered at the thought of there being pineapples on a pizza. The Rear Admiral couldn't think of anything more positively horrid. As he escorted Capt Zh'Osha to a table inside Gabriel's Taco *Bell*, Tony wondered if she knew the significance of the name of this particular taco restaurant.

RAdm Martinelli: Pineapples on pizza should be illegal in the Federation. Are you aware of the story behind the name of this restaurant? It's really interesting, if you haven't heard it.

The Chief of Fleet Operations waited to see if Capt Zh'Osha feigned any sign of interest before he would regale her with all he knew about one of his favorite taco places on SB34. While sitting at the table, glancing at his menu, Tony watched Pi'Lar for any sign of interest in would he had to share.
