He dropped the serving tongs on the table and looked down at the DCinC.

Como Carpathia: That was a long time ago, but thanks for reminding me...who do you have in mind to replace Ellis?

He just had a few items on his plate and decided that would be enough.

Now that his plate was embarrassingly full of chocolate sensations, he looked up to the Commodore.

VAdm Arayuss: His name is Zachariah Waters, this is his first Chief Engineer position however he has the experience and comes highly recommended. He worked with Commander LaForge from Enterprise for a while. He should be around here somewhere, I told him this would be a fine time to meet you.

He walked with his plate over to the Flag Officers' table and sat. Looking to see that he had forgotten to bring back a fork and there was none at the table.

E.J. followed the DCinC to his table and took one of the empty spaces and sat down. He noticed Aeryck looking for a fork and dropped the extra fork he had with him by the Vice Admiral's hand.

Como Carpathia: You're always forgetting to grab a fork...

He smiled at his small friend, and continued.

Como Carpathia: Worked with LaForge, huh? That can't be too bad.

E.J. started working on his dessert and looked at somekind of chocolate explosion of a truffle on the DCinC's plate.

Como Carpathia: Are you gonna eat that?

He smiled hoping Aeryck would allow him to take it freely.

As he saw the hand approaching his plate, he stabbed his fork on the table blocking it's path.

VAdm Arayuss: Yes!

He made sure the hand withdrew before continuing.

VAdm Arayuss: He should work out well.

Aeryck ate his plate of desserts, enjoying all the variations of chocolate he could fine.

He jerked his hand back and frowned.

Como Carpathia: Yes, I look forward to meeting him.

E.J. looked at the measly amount of food on his plate and continued to eat it.

Aeryck looked at E.J. sitting there, intentionally being pathetic.

VAdm Arayuss: Okay, fine. You can have it.

He removed the large truffle from his plate and put it on the Commodore's.

He smiled very happily when the truffled was moved to his plate.

Como Carpathia: Thank you Aeryck, you're so good to me.

E.J. batted his eyes to him, and then started working on the truffle.

He smirked sarcastically at the Commodore burying the truffle in his face.

VAdm Arayuss: Yeah, I know...

Aeryck continued eating his own dessert, missing the one truffle he wanted the most.

Lieutenant Waters peered around after the end of the ceremony. He, despite the butterflies, went to look for Vice Admiral Arayuss, who had asked for him to meet him at his table. Spotting him, he stepped over to his table, noting Commodore Carpathia was sitting across from him.

Lt. Waters: Good evening, Sirs. Lieutenant Zachariah Waters reporting as ordered.

He stood firmly at attention, awaiting a response.

VAdm Arayuss: Good evening, Lieutenant. I am glad you were able to make it.

He jestured towards the Commodore.

VAdm Arayuss: This here is Commodore E.J. Carpathia, commanding officer of the Starship Infiniti, and thief of my deluxe chocolate truffle.

Aeryck looked towards E.J. and nodded.

VAdm Arayuss: This is Lieutenant Zachariah Waters, your new Chief Engineer.

He sat back in his chair and let them get aquainted.
