Bridge - Deck 1

Chase kept his eyes on the console by his seat on the Bridge and was able to see that each of the members of the Senior Staff had sent a notification they had checked in and were standing by for departure. There was just one section that was not ready for launch yet and that was Main Engineering. The XO hadn't received a notification indicating the Warp Core was fully operational and ready to go just yet. Tapping his Combadge, the Commander called down to Cmdr Cypher to get an update.

Cmdr Ashborn: Ashborn to Cypher! What's the status on the Warp Core, Commander? The crew has checked in and all stations report they're standing by.

The XO waited on a reply from the Chief Engineer hoping to hear the core would ready in a matter of minutes. Time was really of the essence and the colonists of New Bajor had no time for Whitestar to deal with a stubborn Warp Core. Chase could see that Capt Daqtorgh was watching the countdown timer on the Main Viewscreen, which was showing they had roughly 15 minutes until the 1 hour time limit was reached!

Main Engineering - Deck 15

Thom was just finishing up on checking the Warp Core to see if it was running at optimal levels throughout his console monitors when he heard the call from Cmdr Ashborn. Cmdr Cypher tapped his Combadge in order to reply promptly to the XO.

Cmdr Cypher: Cypher here, Commander Ashborn. The Warp Core is ready to go! We can switch over to internal power at anytime!

The Chief Engineer kept the Comlink open with the Bridge, just in case anyone needed to inform Thom of something he needed to look into. Cmdr Cypher was happy to be back at his post in the Engine Room of Whitestar, it really felt like home to him.

Bridge - Deck 1

The XO smiled when he heard the Warp Core was ready to go! This meant everything was all set and they could begin the launch process. Chase cleared his throat, then informed Capt Daqtorgh Whitestar was ready to launch from SB34.

Cmdr Ashborn: Captain Daqtorgh, all stations report ready and the Warp Core is ready to power the ship internally. Whitestar is ready to launch from Starbase 34, Sir!

The Commander looked around the Bridge at saw it was filled with excited faces when they heard the ship was ready to launch from SB34. Chase wasn't sure if the Captain had the same launch procedures while the CO was in the Klingon Defense Force. The XO sat in his chair and tried to hide the excitement he felt at launching too, but he wasn't doing such a good job!
