Aeryck sat on the sofa in his office after meeting with FAdm Skyner in the Spacedock Officer's Lounge to inform him of the Admiral's quick decision to send Explorer to save the crew of Event Horizon. The CinC was happy that Como Carpathia accompanied him to meet with the Fleet Admiral for emotional support and now they waited together to hear word from Explorer on the rescue of Event Horizon's crew. Aeryck used his abilities to see if he could sense the outcome of the rescue across the Multiverse, but unfortunately the Admiral had no insight to report at this time.

Adm Arayuss: I'm sorry, E.J. I can't sense anything at this time. Sensing across the Multiverse is a task that is suitable for wizards and unfortunately, I am not one of those. We will have to wait for Explorer to contact us, which it will do as soon as it can. I will guarantee that, Commodore.

As the 2 of them continued sitting on the sofa, waiting to hear from the USS Explorer, an excruciating amount of time passed by before the Combadge tweeted the sound of an incoming message.

Explorer-Com: Admiral, the rescue of the crew was a success! However, Event Horizon was lost. I have everyone on the Hanger Deck and will be docking inside Starbase 34 momentarily. Please prepare for my arrival.

The Admiral tapped his Combadge as soon as the communication with Explorer had ended to inform the SB34's Approach Traffic Control of the incoming vessel's need for clearance to a berth inside the Spacedock.

Adm Arayuss: Arayuss to Approach Traffic Control! Explorer is en route and will need clearance to an available berth inside the Spacedock! It's carrying the crew of Event Horizon, so alert Fleet Admiral Skyner they will be arriving shortly. Arayuss out!

Aeryck quickly got up off the sofa and waited for his friend to stand up and join him in their quick descent via a Turbolift to the Observation Lounge in the Spacedock area. There they would wait together for Explorer to come through the Space Doors and pull into the berth which was right beside the USS Whitestar.

Andrea just couldn't look at the terrifying images anymore and turned away! Both Adm Arayuss and VAdm Martinelli were also aghast at what they were seeing. Looking elsewhere in the Admiral's office, the Lieutenant JG noticed Como Carpathia in the doorway, along with his First Officer, Cmdr Delgado. Lt. JG Russ heard the Commodore ask if he could join the Admiral and Vice Admiral in their meeting but Adm Arayuss hadn't replied yet. Perhaps the CinC was just too transfixed on his PADD to notice the Division 1 Commander and his XO waiting to enter, so Andrea gave the Admiral a slight nudge and whispered softly near his pointed ears.

Lt. JG Russ: Admiral? Commodore Carpathia and Commander Delgado want to know if they could join us.

The Administrative Assistant looked over and gave a slight smile to the Commodore and Commander as they waited on the Admiral to acknowledge their presence and either affirm or deny them entry into his office. Judging by the content they were all just looking at from New Bajor, this was rapidly becoming an emergency situation. The images reminded the Lieutenant JG of the bodies that were horribly disfigured when the Deltaurans were infesting the civilian ships in Sector Epsilon. But the way the colonists were killed, although grotesque, were still different from the way the Deltaurans used their victims as hosts.

The Admiral looked up from the disturbing images on his PADD and saw Como Carpathia and Cmdr Delgado standing in his doorway. The CinC motioned for them both to enter as this situation concerned them as well. Once E.J. and Aléjandro entered the Office of the Commander in Chief, Aeryck addressed everyone in the room.

Adm Arayuss: As of yet, we have not received a call for assistance from Captain Daqtorgh regarding the colony on New Bajor, but judging from the images he has sent to us, we should be getting the call very soon. Whatever did this to the colonists could still be there and survivors could be in need of evacuation and Whitestar is not large enough to take them all. E.J. how soon can Infiniti be ready? I would also like Oriskany to be ready to launch as well. I will be sending Explorer there to assist you, Commodore. I'll take command of Sutherland, with Tony here as my XO and bring Rex along as our Strategics Officer. Lieutenant Tyler will be the Chief Security/Tactical Officer. Sutherland has an EMH so we will have a doctor available. Lieutenant Commander Ellis is visiting, so I will have him report to the Sutherland as Chief Engineer as soon as possible. If anyone else has something to add, now is the time.

The Commander in Chief waited to hear from Como Carpathia how long it would take Infiniti to be ready while he sent a message to Capt Calzada to ready Oriskany for an emergency launch. All they needed to do was wait for Capt Daqtorgh to send his call for assistance and Explorer, Infiniti, Oriskany and Sutherland would be on their way as soon as it was physically possible. With the entire Administrative Staff leaving, Aeryck had to think about who to leave in charge of SB34 while they were all gone. Since Lt. JG Russ would be serving as his Yeoman aboard Sutherland, she wouldn't be left behind either.

E.J. stood proudly in the Office of the Command in Chief and announced the status of Infiniti's readiness with pride in his voice. The Commodore was extremely proud of his crew and his vessel, which would be obvious to everyone in the room. This would be their fourth mission in the Gamma Quadrant so E.J. knew his crew had the experience needed to handle what was coming.

Como Carpathia: According to Commander Delgado...Infiniti is ready now, Admiral.

The Division 1 Commander's pulse was racing with excitement as he knew his XO's was too. The thought of what was happening on New Bajor horrified them all and they wanted to get to the bottom of this investigation. They just needed to get the call from Capt Daqtorgh of Whitestar that declared the emergency distress that would get all the ships of Gamma Fleet on the move.

The Admiral was pleased with Como Carpathia’s vessel already being ready to head to New Bajor. While waiting to get an acknowledgement from Capt Calzada on how long Oriskany would take to launch, Aeryck turned to VAdm Martinelli and gave him instructions on what he wanted done before a call for assistance arrived from Capt Daqtorgh.

Adm Arayuss: Tony, head over to Sutherland with Major General Alderez, Lieutenant Commander Ellis and Lieutenants Tyler and Russ to get us setup for departure. Hopefully it won’t take long to get the Warp Core up and running. It’s been off for a while. I’ll stay here and coordinate with Explorer, Infiniti and Oriskany until Sutherland is ready to launch. I am very happy Infiniti is ready to launch already, when we get the call from Captain Daqtorgh I will send Explorer with Infiniti to depart immediately, Oriskany and Sutherland will bring up the rear.

The Commander in Chief knew it would not be long before the call came to Como Carpathia’s PADD like the other messages had come, completely bypassing SB34’s communication center. When the opportunity arose, Aeryck would have to have a small chat with Lt. Mitchell on how he was able to setup a direct text link with the Commodore’s handheld device. Not that it was a bad thing, it was actually very convenient. It was just not standard practice for Starfleet Communications between Starships and their bases of operations.

The Vice Admiral grabbed his PADD from the end table by the sofa in the Commander in Chief's office and began walking for the doorway. Before Tony exited, he smiled at Lt. JG Russ and motion for her to follow along with him. As they walked together out of the Admiral’s office, the Chief of Fleet Operations turned and spoke to Adm Arayuss.

VAdm Martinelli: Alright, Admiral! I’m right on top of this! See you aboard Sutherland, Sir!

Tony walked through the doorway and went down the corridor towards the Office of the Fleet Marine Force Commandant. It was the Vice Admiral’s intention to let the Major General know his years of experience were needed in this crisis. MGen Alderez would be given the role of Strategic Operations Officer aboard Sutherland where his knowledge would be put to the test.

After VAdm Martinelli departed from the Admiral’s office, the Commodore’s PADD indicated a new message had arrived! Looking down at the device, E.J. saw the message was from Capt Daqtorgh! This was the message Adm Arayuss was waiting for, so the Commodore immediately forwarded it to the CinC so he could view it too.

Como Carpathia: I just got the message we were waiting for, Admiral! Captain Daqtorgh is officially calling for assistance from all ships in Gamma Fleet! According to the transmission, the Captain is looking to evacuate the rest of the colonists and he needs more vessels to accommodate the survivors. Plus the use of the combined Sickbays of every ship we can spare. We need to get a move on right away!

The Commodore turned to his XO and continued…

Como Carpathia: Aléjandro, go over to the ship and let everyone know we’ll be departing immediately for New Bajor. I’ll be there in a matter of moments.

The Division 1 Commander waited to hear from Adm Arayuss that he was officially cleared to launch his vessel for the crisis occurring on the Bajoran colony. E.J. knew by the time he arrived on the Bridge of Infiniti, they would be ready to leave their berth and exit the Space Doors. While the Commodore waited to hear from Adm Arayuss, he turned and watched as Cmdr Delgado quickly left the CinC’s office and make his way down the corridor to the Turbolifts. Aléjandro’s next stop would be Infiniti’s berth!

Aeryck picked up his PADD and looked at the forwarded message E.J. just sent him from Daqtorgh. Nodding his head, the Admiral tapped his Combadge to alert VAdm Martinelli that he needed Sutherland ready to launch as soon as possible, for the call for emergency assistance had arrived. Adm Arayuss used the terminal on his desk to send a response to Capt Daqtorgh. The message read Message received, emergency assistance en route. to which Aeryck sent immediately to the Captain of Whitestar. The Admiral's next step was to inform Como Carpathia, Capt Calzada and Explorer that it was time to go!

Adm Arayuss: E.J. let's get moving! Launch immediately, Explorer will be going with you. As soon as Oriskany is ready to go, Captain Calzada will be on his way along with Sutherland bringing up the rear.

The CinC tapped his Combadge to inform Capt Calzada that it the call for emergency assistance was received.

Adm Arayuss: Arayuss to Captain Calzada! David, we just received the call from Whitestar! They request emergency assistance! Prepare to launch from Starbase 34 immediately and set a course for New Bajor! Maximum speed is authorized! Arayuss out!

With that task completed, Aeryck just used his console on the desk to inform Explorer to follow Infiniti to New Bajor immediately! Explorer sent back an acknowledgement indicating that it was ready to depart the Space Dock as soon as Infiniti cleared the doors. The Admiral got up from behind his desk and left his office, then went down the corridor to the Turbolifts and made his way towards the Berth that Sutherland was docked.
