Admiral Skyner looked around the engine room with pride. It was as prestine and clean as he remembered it. He smiled and nodded to the Engineering crew that were assembled.

Adm Skyner: You all should be proud of yourselves to serve aboard this fine vessel. It's one of the finest in all of Starfleet.

He walked slowly around the warp core, admiring it's polished metal, when his combadge chirped.

Adm Skyner: Skyner here.

Over his combadge he heard the voice of his administrative assistant aboard Starbase 34.

Lt. Taylor: Sorry to interrupt, Admiral. There's a situation that needs your immediate attention.

Jaeson sighed, and then replied.

Adm Skyner: Understood, Skyner out.

He turned to Captain Harris and expressed his apologies for having to leave before the completion of the inspection.

Adm Skyner: Captain, I'm truly sorry but duty calls. Perhaps we can continue the inspection when you return from Sector Epsilon.

With a disappointed look, he tapped his combadge.

Adm Skyner: Skyner to Starbase 34 Transporter Room 1, beam me directly to my office. Energize.

He gave half a smile to the CO of Oriskany as he dematerialized before her, and the XO. He hoped they understood that he was needed and would have remained if he could. But being the CinC of Gamma Fleet was a demanding job. One he held in high regard.

Commander Ashborn looked at the empty air where the Admiral had stood just a second before and then smiled slightly. He then turned to the Captain and spoke freely.

Cmdr Ashborn: Wow. That was the easiest inspection I've ever seen. Wonder if the next one will be similar?

The XO smiled and awaited the Captain's response.

Capt Harris: We can only hope. Now let's get to the bridge. We've got a mission to start.

She stepped up to a nearby console and activated the overhead comm systems.

Capt Harris: All crew to stations. Prepare for departure.

She stepped onto the turbolift and held the door for her XO. Once in side she ordered them to the bridge. Stepping out she walked to the command chair and stood in front of it. She turned to the conn officer.

Capt Harris: Enter our course into the computer. Prepare to leave the docking bay. Ops, connect me to Space Dock Control.

Ready Room - Deck 1

As David was in his Ready Room getting ready for Oriskany to launch, he got the message from Adm Arayuss that he was to launch as soon as possible and maximum speed was authorized. The call for emergency assistance has been received! The Captain quickly exited the Ready Room and entered the Bridge, and spoke to everyone who was already at their stations.

Capt Calzada: Attention everyone, we've been given the green light to launch, the Captain of Whitestar has called for emergency assistance at New Bajor. Commander Kee, what's our status?

Looking around the Bridge, it seemed that everyone was ready to go, but David wasn't sure about the Warp Core being activated and ready for them to go to Warp Speed once they reached the Outer Markers of SB34. As soon as they were ready to go, the Captain would give the order to get clearance to the Space Doors from Dock Traffic Control.

Bridge - Deck 1

The Commander responded proudly to Capt Calzada since he was originally told they might be going to New Bajor. Oriskany was powered up and ready to go and this made James proud that his crew got the ship prepared so quickly. Standing up from his chair, the XO approached the Captain as he spoke.

Cmdr Kee: All stations have reported in that they're ready, Captain! Warp Core is operating at optimum efficiency! We're ready to launch when you are, Sir!

The Executive Officer remained standing beside Capt Calzada and waited on him to issue his next order. Cmdr Kee started off on this ship as the Chief Science Officer and got elevated to XO when Capt Harris lost her life to the Deltaurans and Cmdr Reich was elevated to Captain. This was all during the situation in Sector Epsilon. Now they were on a new mission and this was his first mission as Oriskany's XO with it's new Captain.
