E.J. could see that Dr. Jovic was very frustrated at Capt Zh’Osha for the way she referred to Alana Thompson as “the Accused”. The girl, albeit annoying to be around was certainly no killer, he thought to himself. She was just very self-centered and ignorant, and negligent in her lack of response to Mr. Marino choking to death in his Quarters. But after what she went through during the Deltauran invasion of her ship, it’s no wonder she was somewhat screwed up in the head. But be that as it may, the Commodore felt nothing more could be gained from the meeting with Cmdr Kee and Dr. Jovic and since Capt Zh’Osha seemed to have locked her brain on the bottle of wine she was clutching, nobody would be getting a reply from her anytime soon.

Como Carpathia: Well, I think that’s about enough for this meeting. Wouldn’t you say, Admiral? We should dismiss Commander Kee and Dr. Jovic so they can go about their duties and get to know Captain Calzada before the rest of Oriskany’s crew returns from Event Horizon’s mission.

The Commodore looked over at Adm Arayuss and awaited his response to what he suggested about bringing the meeting to an end and letting Cmdr Kee and Dr. Jovic get back to Oriskany. E.J. was very sure they wanted to get back to their vessel after the ordeal aboard Sutherland. Having to deal with Mr. Marino in any capacity was surely a nightmare for both of them. His overall lack of experience and knowledge could’ve cost people their lives. There was going to be a full investigation into how he was able to manipulate his way into a command position back at Starfleet Headquarters on Earth.

Aeryck could see that Capt Zh’Osha was no longer focused on the conversation in RAdm Martinelli’s office and waiting for her head to clear up wasn’t fair to Cmdr Kee or Dr. Jovic. When Como Carpathia interrupted the long pause after the Doctor’s statement regarding the Captain referring to Miss Thompson as “the Accused” and asked if the meeting was enough, the Admiral couldn’t agree more.

Adm Arayuss: I believe it is, Commodore. How about you, Admiral Martinelli and General Alderez? Heard enough?

The CinC waited to hear from his colleagues if they heard all there was to know regarding the death of Mr. Marino and the involvement of the young girl that was with him in his Quarters when it happened. If there was nothing else, both Cmdr Kee and Dr. Jovic would be dismissed so they could continue on to Oriskany to check in with Capt Calzada.

Tony was in agreement with Adm Arayuss, he indeed had heard enough about the death of Mr. Marino and the involvement the young female played in part with her negligence. The Rear Admiral would definitely recommend Miss Thompson be placed into psychiatric care for her insensitivity to the distress of another which lead to their demise. Tony also wanted the case of Mr. Marino being allowed to gain access to a command position be fully investigated at Starfleet Headquarters.

RAdm Martinelli: I’ve heard quite enough, Admiral Arayuss. Quite enough. I’m going to recommend Miss Thompson be placed into psychiatric care for her insensitivity towards others which lead to the death of Mr. Marino, as well as a full investigation into how HE was able to get command of Sutherland! As Chief of Fleet Operations, it falls under my duties to make it so.

Looking over towards Adm Arayuss and MGen Alderez, Tony nodded his head to reaffirm his position on where he stood regarding both the young female and the fraudulent Mr. Marino. The Rear Admiral knew that something would turn up besides Mrs. Marino paying off a Ferengi merchant of exam answers. Tony did find solace in knowing that nobody in Gamma Fleet would be implicated since the fraudulent activity must have occurred back on Earth.

Looking over at Adm Arayuss, RAdm Martinelli and Como Carpathia, Rex could not help but agree with all of them. The Major General truly heard enough about the entire situation regarding the death of the fraudulent Captain of Sutherland. The man put the lives of the 58th Squadron in jeopardy by choosing to leave them behind so he could race to another abandoned vessel as he hoped to find treasure to plunder. Rex really wanted to push for the investigation so those guilty of assisting Mr. Marino could be held accountable.

MGen Alderez: I am in agreement with all of you regarding this matter. I feel those who aided Lou Marino should be held accountable for his actions and lack of same. They need to be punished significantly for their crimes. That includes his wife for knowing her husband was incapable of completing the Command Training Program and other methods used to determine the eligibility by buying Mr. Marino’s way to the Captain’s chair of Sutherland.

The Fleet Marine Force Commandant felt adamant about what he said in the Office of the Chief of Fleet Operations. Mrs. Marino needs to be incarcerated for what she did. The Marines could have been attacked and either taken as hostages or possibly killed by marauders while in Sector Epsilon. This was all because of her husband’s lack of experience and having little knowledge of Starfleet regulations. Rex did not care if this destroyed their family unit, he considered them to be corrupt and in need of separation and re-education. That way they could become decent members of society, instead of the criminals they were setting out to be.

The CinC nodded to both RAdm Martinelli and MGen Alderez before addressing both Cmdr Kee and Dr. Jovic. It was now time to dismiss them from the Inquiry into the death of “Captain” Louis G. Marino. They both served admirably and would be commended for it on their Starfleet records. Aeryck would see to it personally.

Adm Arayuss: Well, General, we’ll be sure to get to the bottom of all of this for you and whomever is responsible for getting Mr. Marino into a position of command will be prosecuted. This I can assure you. As for you both, Commander Kee and Dr. Jovic, you are relieved of all of your duties having to deal with this matter any further and can return to Oriskany at your own discretion. I’m sure Captain Calzada would enjoy meeting the two of you.

The Admiral looked around the room and could see that no one disagreed with what he said so it now stood that the meeting was adjourned. Aeryck stood up from where he was sitting and waited for the others to join him in leaving RAdm Martinelli to his duties here in his office. His main tasks would be to enter into the Fleet Operations log that Cmdr Kee and Dr. Jovic have been reassigned to Oriskany and were to receive commendations for their actions aboard Sutherland as well as the investigation Dr. Jovic did on how Mr. Marino was a complete FRAUD !

James couldn’t be happier knowing that this horrible situation was finally behind him. The Commander looked over at the Doctor and smiled as he spoke to her. At first James tried hiding his excitement, but he failed miserably at doing so as he spoke to the Officers of the Fleet.

Cmdr Kee: Admiral Arayuss, Rear Admiral Martinelli, Major General Alderez, Commodore Carpathia and Captain Zh’Osha, thank you for making this Inquiry so painless for us. I realize how bad it could’ve been, knowing Mr. Marino was a fraud and ended up killing himself with his poor eating habits. I hope all who assisted in passing him through the Command Training Program are prosecuted for their involvement. Let’s be on our way, shall we Doctor? Captain Calzada is probably eager to meet us on Oriskany, where we belong.

The Commander motioned for Dr. Jovic to follow him out of RAdm Martinelli’s office. James wasn’t sure if Dragana wanted to say anything to the Flag Officers before they left for Oriskany. So he paused by the doorway and waited for either the Doctor to follow or to say what she wanted.

The Doctor nodded towards Cmdr Kee in approval, it was time for them to check in with their new Commanding Officer aboard Oriskany. Before leaving, Dragana voiced her opinion of Mr. Marino’s health and how somebody in the medical field must’ve assisted in the illegal action of getting the fraudulent “Captain” in command of Sutherland.

Cmdr Jovic: Thank you all for allowing me to express how fraudulent Mr. Marino was in gaining command of Sutherland. But I wanted to add that somebody in Starfleet Medical must’ve also been involved, Mr. Marino was so obese, he was extremely unhealthy and was kidney failure looking for a place to happen. We need to have that investigated as well. But since I’m just a member of the Physician Exchange Program from the newly formed Romulan Republic, I can only dig so deep into Starfleet Medical’s files. But I’m sure you could get to the bottom of this Admiral Arayuss, Starfleet has invested their full trust in you.

Even though the Admiral was also a Romulan, he was a hybrid mixed with Betazoid qualities that was going to be used as part of a psionic warrior program to interrogate and terminate targets back during the days of the Romulan Star Empire. Adm Arayuss defected to the Federation and his skills were put to the test almost immediately. Gaining support and trust of Starfleet he became part of Omega Sector and became Captain of the USS Explorer. The rest is history…so be that as it may, if anyone could get to the bottom of the mystery on how Mr. Marino passed a physical for commanding Sutherland, it was Adm Arayuss.

Aeryck nodded towards Dr. Jovic to affirm that he would indeed contact Starfleet Medical and see exactly who it was that medically cleared Mr. Marino for command duty. The Admiral knew for sure whoever it was would lose their ability to practice medicine in the Federation, he would see to that personally.

Adm Arayuss: You can rest assured, Doctor, I WILL find out who medically cleared Marino for duty and be sure they never practice medicine in the Federation again! A doctor that can willfully look the other way and allow a patient in such poor health to get through to command a Starship needs to face criminal charges as well. I’ll see to that!

The Admiral was visibly annoyed at whoever it was who pushed Mr. Marino through to command Sutherland knowing full well that he was not medically fit to do so. The crew of the ship had their lives in danger while under the command of the fraudulent “Captain”, so it was actually beneficial to them all that Mr. Marino succumbed to his urges and stuffed his face to the point of becoming unable to command Sutherland any further and allowing Cmdr Kee to bring the ship back safely with a successful mission on it’s record to boot.

Aeryck looked back at RAdm Martinelli and informed him of what he was planning to do in his own office down the corridor. The Admiral wished to remain undisturbed while he communicated with Starfleet HQ and Starfleet Medical, so he would have to let Lt. JG Russ know as well.

Adm Arayuss: Tony, I’m going to be in my office finding out the name of the doctor who cleared Marino for duty and make sure they are arrested immediately. I wish to remain undisturbed during that time so I’ll be letting Andrea know to hold my calls and reschedule any appointments I have till my task is complete. I’ll leave you to your business here.

The CinC exited the Office of the Chief of Fleet Operations and proceeded down the corridor towards his office where he paused at the reception desk of Lt. JG Russ and gave her the instructions necessary before entering the Office of the Commander in Chief.

Adm Arayuss: Andrea, I’ll be getting to the bottom of who cleared Marino medically for duty for command of Sutherland. I do not wish to be disturbed. Hold all calls not pertaining to this matter and reschedule any other meetings I’ve got till I completed my task. Thank you.

The Admiral entered his office and sat down behind his desk and got to work by contacting Starfleet HQ and getting the process moving into finding out the culprit who allowed Mr. Marino through so he could fraudulently command Sutherland. It was Aeryck’s sincere wish to have that doctor apprehended immediately and face criminal charges for his participation in the Big Fraud that will be forever associated with Louis G. Marino.

E.J. looked over at the dazed Capt Zh’Osha cradling the bottle of wine they had during lunch and smirked. The Commodore knew if she walked to her Quarters aboard Whitestar and passed out in a corridor again, she was most likely going to cause a bit of a stir amongst her crew for being an obvious drunk. E.J. stood and extended an arm towards the Captain and offered her some assistance in getting up from the chair she was sitting in.

Como Carpathia: I’ll be your escort to your Quarters, Captain Zh’Osha. I’d like to make sure you don’t get dizzy and fall down in a corridor and get something else written on your forehead.

The Captain reached out with her left hand gingerly and took the Commodore’s arm and he gently lifted her out of the chair. Together they started walking for the door when E.J. turned to address the others in the room.

Como Carpathia: I’ll be taking the Captain to her room here on base so she doesn’t roam the corridors of Whitestar in her current condition. It was good having the meeting and getting to be together once again. I’m sure the Admiral is already underway with his calls to Starfleet Headquarters and Starfleet Medical to get the name of the doctor that cleared Lou for service as Sutherland’s Captain.

The Commodore looked over towards Cmdr Kee and Dr. Jovic, who were standing close to the doorway and addressed them next.

Como Carpathia: As for you two, give my best to Captain Calzada. You guys did a great job bringing Sutherland home and discovering what a fraud Lou was. I’m very sure you both will get along great with your new Captain. I look forward to hearing about Oriskany’s new adventures from all of you.

With that, E.J. escorted Capt Zh’Osha from the RAdm Martinelli's office and down the corridor to the Turbolifts where they entered one and took it to the area where the Captain’s temporary Quarters was located. Opening the door, he lead Pi’Lar into the room and took the bottle of wine from her with a little bit of resistance and placed it on the table in the main area of the room. The Captain appeared to be somewhat wobbly, so E.J. lead her into the bedroom where she quickly shuffled across the floor and plopped face first on the bed. The Commodore removed her boots so the Captain could relax in comfort and whispered under his breath as he walked out of her bedroom.

Como Carpathia: Sleep well, Captain…

The Division 1 Commander exited Capt Zh’Osha’s Quarters and returned to the Turbolift where he took it to the Observation Lounge that lead to the Gangway to USS Infiniti. Upon entering his vessel, E.J. proceeded to his Quarters aboard his ship and got undressed and took a shower before laying down in his bed after putting on a pair of sweatpants and a t-shirt to sleep in. It had been a long day and he needed some rest, so it didn’t take long for the Commodore to fall asleep with his Viewscreen on while playing episodes of a TV series he enjoyed long ago called Babylon 5 .

Rex stood up from where he was sitting in RAdm Martinelli’s office and walked towards the door, approaching Cmdr Kee and Dr. Jovic. The Major General reached out and shook both of their hands before exiting the Office of the Chief of Fleet Operations.

MGen Alderez: You both did a great job of dealing with that fat bastard! Marino was a complete disgrace to everything Starfleet stands for! I’m glad you discovered what a fraud he was, Doctor. You are a truly unstoppable investigative force when it came to discovering the truth about him. Best wishes to the two of you on your next adventure aboard Oriskany.

The Fleet Marine Force Commandant smiled to both Cmdr Kee and Dr. Jovic before proceeding down the corridor to his office. Rex began resuming his work where he left off on the drill scheduling before Lt. JG Russ entered to inform him of the meeting in RAdm Martinelli’s office.
