Bridge - Deck 1

Sean was glad that the Phasers were ready, that just left everything else. He sat in his chair and looked around the Bridge while everyone was working, thinking about how these bastards had killed his friend and mentor, and they were going to pay for what they did.

Capt Reich: Mr. Kee, since we have Phasers set, and defenses should be back up soon, I want to get underway in 8 hours. I want to see what we can do before the rest of everyone else comes. I'd like to try a diplomatic solution before an all out war, but I want to be prepared for every contingency.

The Captain paused for a moment, then continued.

Capt Reich: I'd like an estimate on the Engines, and I'd also like to talk to the Admiral as soon as possible.

He rose from his chair and started pacing the Bridge. There was a nagging feeling that this wasn't going to end well, but he wasn't going to express that thought out loud for fear of shaking the crew up more than they already are.

The XO nodded towards the Captain and contacted LtCmdr Little down in Engineering to forward Capt Reich's order.

Cmdr Kee: Bridge to Engineering. Mr. Little, the Captain would like to know when the Engines will be fully operational.

James then spoke to Lt. Boffi at the Ops Station.

Cmdr Kee: Mr. Boffi, hail Infiniti and request some time with Admiral Arayuss for Captain Reich.

The First Officer waited on a response from LtCmdr Little in Engineering and Lt. Boffi there on the Bridge.

Main Engineering - Deck 16

Lewis was running a Level 1 Diagnostics on the Warp Core to make sure it was working within it's specific parameters when he heard the call from the Bridge from Cmdr Kee. He tapped his Combadge to reply.

Lt. Commander Little: The Engines weren't damaged severely by the Deltauran presence here in Engineering. They'll be fully operational within the hour.

The Chief Engineer continued with the diagnostic on the Warp Core to make sure it would be ready for whatever the Captain had in mind. Lewis was pleased that the damage in Engineering was minimal.

Bridge - Deck 1

Michael did as Cmdr Kee ordered for Capt Reich, and he hailed USS Infiniti requesting to speak with Adm Arayuss.

Lt. Boffi: Oriskany to Infiniti, Captain Reich is requesting some time to speak with Admiral Arayuss.

The Ops Officer waited on a response from Infiniti, as he continued scanning the area for any Deltauran presence especially on any of the abandoned vessels they were near.

James looked towards Capt Reich and spoke to him in reference to the incoming conversation with Adm Arayuss.

Cmdr Kee: Captain, when Admiral Arayuss contacts you perhaps you should have the conversation in your Ready Room? Just in case there's things said you'd rather have in private.

The XO waited on the Captain's response to see if he'd take the conversation in the Ready Room.

The Ops Officer heard what Cmdr Kee said to Capt Reich about taking the Admiral's communication in his Ready Room just as it came in.

Adm Arayuss: Captain Reich, this is Admiral Arayuss standing by.

Mike addressed the Captain on the issue.

Lt. Boffi: Captain, Admiral Arayuss is standing by. Would you like it on the Main Viewer or in your Ready Room?

The Lieutenant waited on his Captain to make the decision so he could put the Admiral's transmission through to one of the two places that were ready to receive him.

Transporter Room 1 - Deck 8

The Admiral materialized on the Transporter platform aboard Oriskany and immediately addressed the personnel behind the control panel. He didn't want his presence to be unannounced.

Adm Arayuss: Please inform the Bridge that I'm on my way to speak with Captain Reich.

Aeryck stepped off the platform and exited the Transporter Room and walked to a Turbolift and started for the Bridge.

Bridge - Deck 1

Michael got the message of the Admiral's arrival from the Transporter Room and immediately informed everyone on the Bridge. Getting a visit from the CinC was not an everyday occurrence.

Lt. Boffi: Admiral Arayuss has just beamed over from Infiniti to speak with the Captain, he's on his way to the Bridge now.

The Lieutenant maintained his station and awaited the arrival of Adm Arayuss. He knew it wouldn't be long before the Admiral would be on the Bridge to speak with Captain Reich.

The XO jumped out of his seat when he heard what Lt. Boffi said about Adm Arayuss heading for the Bridge. James knew the Captain had been sitting idly by for far too long and it caused the Admiral to beam over.

Cmdr Kee: Captain? Admiral Arayuss will be here very shortly. You should make yourself ready to receive him when he arrives.

The Commander hoped Capt Reich would be ready for Adm Arayuss when he arrived on the Bridge. If not, it could possibly mean the Captain could be relieved of his command of Oriskany.

The Admiral exited the Turbolift and walked out onto Oriskany's Bridge. He could see the surprise in all the officers' faces as he walked over to where Capt Reich was seated in his chair.

Adm Arayuss: Captain Reich, you had Infiniti hailed requesting to speak with me, and I returned the hail only to find silence. I'd like to know what's going on, because this is conduct unbecoming.

Aeryck looked into the blank stare of Capt Reich and was trying to figure out what was going on inside the man's mind. Using his ability to sense thoughts, he still couldn't pick up anything. It was as if the Captain's mind went blank.
