Bridge - Deck 1

Chase was manning the Sec/Tac Station in lieu of a Sec/Tac Officer waiting for them back on SB34. He heard the Captain's orders for Battle Stations and Red Alert so he made sure all was ready for the battle up ahead.

Cmdr Ashborn: Captain, all Weapon and Defensive Systems are at a hundred percent power!

The XO continued monitoring the consoles of the Sec/Tac Station and made sure all Weapon Systems are targeting the mass ahead of them.

The Ops Officer quickly went over his console to check on all the different power settings that were available to him and made sure to allocate them to the Weapons and Defensive Systems of the ship. He wanted to make sure to get more so he contacted LtCmdr Cypher, down in Engineering.

Lt. JG Mitchell: Bridge to Engineering, can you boost our power allocation to Weapons and Defensive Systems?

The Lieutenant waited on a reply from their Chief Engineer as he kept a close eye on the available power they had now, along with the mass ahead of them. Cole wouldn't allow the Deltaurans to approach the ship unnoticed.

Main Engineering - Deck 15

Thom was at his console down in Engineering when he heard the call from the Bridge. He quickly tapped the buttons all across his work station and allocated even more power from the Core to the Phasers, Torpedoes and Shields.

Lt. Commander Cypher: Cypher to Bridge, I've increased power to the Weapons and Shields by twenty percent! That should do for now, if more is needed let me know and I'll have to shut some non essential systems down for another ten percent. Anymore than that and we risk blowing out the entire system! Cypher out!

The Chief Engineering Officer went to work on his console to make sure the power to the rest of the ship remained constant, for this was not the time for any outages. There was far too much at stake for him to get preoccupied with something less important.

Bridge - Deck 1

Cole was pleased that LtCmdr Cypher was able to allocate more power for the Shields and Weapon Systems, when a message came in from Oriskany.

Lt. JG Mitchell: Captain, Admiral Arayuss has ordered us to break formation and prepare to fire!

The Ops Officer looked over at Lt. JG Thomas, knowing he would be positioning the ship per the Captain's orders.

Treasar perked up in his chair and addressed the officers on the Bridge, the time was finally here to save the galaxy from this murderous scourge of existence.

Capt Adonis: Mr. Thomas, alter course to come to the port side of Explorer! Mr. Ashborn, prepare to fire on target!

The Captain was feeling a great amount of pride in his crew, this is where they'll prove themselves as excellent officers when they become victorious in this battle.

The Flight Control Officer did as Capt Adonis ordered and moved Whitestar to the port side of Explorer. He could see on the Main Viewer that Oriskany had moved to it's starboard side.

Lt. JG Thomas: Aye, Captain!

Dylan knew the battle would soon be underway and he said a private prayer to himself for the lives of everyone in the fleet. He hoped that would be enough to protect them all from these creatures.

Chase did as the Captain ordered and readied the Phasers and Torpedoes to fire at the Deltauran target before them.

Cmdr Asborn: Aye, Sir!

The XO kept a steady weapons lock on the mass ahead of them and waited on the order to fire.

Treasar heard Adm Arayuss through the open channel between Whitestar and Oriskany and instantaneously informed his XO to open fire on the Deltauran beasts ahead of them.

Capt Adonis: Let's do our part Mr. Ashborn, open fire on that target!

The Captain watched the damage on the Main Viewer that the Deltaurans were taking from the firepower of Explorer and Oriskany. In a few seconds they would be dealing with the full wrath of Whitestar, and Treasar could barely contain his anticipation.

The XO did as Capt Adonis commanded and opened fire on the trans-dimensional beasts with the full power Whitestar had available with it's weapons.

Cmdr Ashborn: Firing Phasers and Photon Torpedoes, Captain!

As the Phasers ripped apart the Deltaurans, the Photon Torpedoes detonated on contact blowing them to microscopic fragments! Chase watched the display of fire power from Whitestar and the other vessels obliterating the Deltaurans, and thought to himself This is too easy...

Treasar watched the obliteration of the Deltauran drone-like creatures with a smile on his face. When the creature in the center was exposed it turned it's huge head to Oriskany and fired a beam of energy from it's eye sockets that struck the vessel around Deck 9 of it's Secondary Hull! It cut through the hull like a hot knife through butter blowing out debris and even a humanoid crew member to their death.

Capt Adonis: Evasive maneuvers now, Mr. Thomas!

But before the Flight Control Officer could even respond another beam hit Explorer, followed by Infiniti. Both ships deflected the beams into space and appeared to be undamaged. That's when a fourth beam came towards Whitestar and struck the port nacelle, causing it to shatter and break off it's pylon. This left the ship quite vulnerable, not to mention a lot of radiation exposure to the crew on the lower decks. Consoles were throwing sparks from fused circuits and the Bridge crew was desperately trying to regain control of the listing ship.
