Finishing up with the Captain's Briefing, Peter made his way out of the Conference Room and down the corridor to the Turbolift. Arriving on Deck 3, he quickly walked to his Quarters and changed into his dress white uniform before continuing to the Holodeck they were meeting in on Deck 4.
Upon entering, Peter saw that Cole, Chris, Jayden and Jamie were already in attendance with the Captain. He walked over towards them and made an inquiry as to how long before the transmission was to take place.
Lt. Commander Graham:
Hey everyone, is there a set time for the broadcast from Whitestar?
While waiting for a response from anyone with the knowledge of when this was about to begin, Peter looked around at the images projected around them in Holodeck 2. It was a fine rendition of the Bridge of the Akira Class vessel where the gathering of officers was taking place. This was going to make them feel like they were actually attending the service for Capt Adonis, a person whom LtCmdr Graham never had the honor of meeting. _________________

The Doctor nodded to the officers as he walked out of the Conference Room and proceeded down the corridor to the Turbolift where he took it to Deck 3 and continued on to his Quarters. After changing into his Starfleet dress uniform from his Section 31 color division, he returned to the Turbolift and took it to Deck 4 where he exited walking quickly to Holodeck 2. As the large doors parted Jacques could see the Captain, LtCmdr Graham, Lt. Mitchell, MCpt Lopez, Lt. JG DeGrazzio and PO3 Florenté standing in the simulated Bridge of Whitestar waiting for the transmission from his actual ship.
Lt. JG Tudismaque:
This is a nice touch, Captain. Thank you.
The Chief Medical Officer looked around the Bridge of Whitestar that Capt Little recreated in the Holodeck and smiled to himself thinking about the memories he had on that ship with Dr. Brewer and how they enjoyed their lunches together in Sickbay. Dr. Tudismaque was looking forward to getting to know Prof Brewer, Dr. Brewer's twin brother, who would be coming along soon as well. _________________

Quickly leaving the Conference Room behind the others, Ajay went down the corridor to his Quarters there on Deck 2 and changed into his dress uniform. Across from his room was the Turbolift which he took to Deck 4 and did a brisk walk to Holodeck 2 and entered through the double-doors. Seeing the rest of the Senior Staff present, except for Cmdr Cypher, LtCmdr Centares took a position with the others and nodded towards the Captain.
Lt. Commander Centares:
Commander Cypher was right behind me in the Conference Room when I left, so he should be here any moment, Captain.
The Chief Flight Control Officer nodded towards the others, pleased they were all together again, except for the reason. It was sad that Capt Adonis lost his life during the Battle of Sector Epsilon. Oriskany lost their Captain too, but it was prior to the battle. Capt Reich subdued to an unknown ailment and never recovered. Ajay wondered if Gamma Fleet was going to lose any other CO's in the near future since these kind of things always happened in groups of three. _________________

As the Yeoman monitored the Ops Console, Jo'Kla immediately noticed the incoming live stream transmission coming to them via an encrypted subspace channel. Without delay, the Ensign forwarded the broadcast to Holodeck 2 where the Chief Operations Officer, Lt. Mitchell, was waiting.
Ens Jo'Kla:
Bridge to Lieutenant Mitchell, the transmission from Starbase 34 is broadcasting to us live on an encrypted subspace carrier wave. I'm forwarding it to your console in Holodeck 2 now.
The young Klingon officer monitored the transmission on his display so he could watch the memorial service for Capt Adonis. Jo'Kla never met the Captain but read of his bravery in the Battle of Sector Epsilon and was quite impressed. To die in the line of duty during battle was most honorable.

Cole heard the Yeoman's call from the Bridge and immediately put it through the decryption process so he could feed the transmission through to the Holodeck computer. This would allow it to create facsimiles of all the people in attendance aboard Whitestar's Bridge so it would appear that everyone was together in the same place.
Lt. Mitchell:
Broadcast coming through now, Captain!
In just a few moments, the facsimiles of all the officers on the Bridge of Whitestar appeared on the Holodeck's recreation of the damaged Command Center of the Akira Class Starship. Como Carpathia was standing in the middle of Whitestar's Bridge as well as the facsimile Bridge on Holodeck 2 and began speaking to everyone.
Como Carpathia:
As we know, my friend Treasar lost his life here on the Bridge on Stardate: 239408.03 when the Deltauran creature fired the beams from its eyes and stuck an area by the Bridge causing severe damage. Captain Adonis was pierced through the heart by a shard of metal that fell from the ceiling killing him almost instantly. From those who were on the Bridge with him when the attack occurred, their reports show the Captain died so quickly, he didn’t even have time to tell Commander Ashborn he was now in command.
It was visibly getting harder for the Commodore to continue, but persevered…
Como Carpathia:
I met Treasar back in high school on Earth and we quickly became friends when we learned of each other’s interests in Starfleet. We graduated together and quickly took our entrance exams for the Academy scoring well enough to attend the very same year. Although we went down different paths, Treasar’s being Starship operations and mine being engineering, we remained in constant contact with each other. We were best friends, so staying in close contact wasn’t hard for either of us. Even while we were assigned to different ships, we would chat over subspace communications whenever possible. I was the one who told Treasar about the opening for a Captain on our Akira Class vessel, so I very excited to hear he was coming to Starbase 34 to become the new Commanding Officer of Whitestar. I really thought Captain Adonis would be on the Bridge of his ship for many years…
Tears could be seen welling up in the Commodore’s eyes and he continued…
Como Carpathia:
Of my friend I can only say this…of all the souls I have encountered in my travels, his was the most…human.
The Commodore eyes flowed with tears as he turned to look at Adm Arayuss behind him. It was obvious he needed some help through the process of speaking to everyone. Cole really respected Capt Adonis and seeing his good friend weep openly over his loss, made the Lieutenant's eyes tear up too. The Chief Ops Officer looked towards Capt Zh'Osha and hoped she would be as respectful to her crew like the previous Commanding Officer was. _________________

Jamie watched as the officers talked about their experiences with Capt Adonis. Even though he was far from being an empath, the Petty Officer could feel their grief for the loss of the Captain. PO3 Florenté felt really bad for Como Carpathia and wished he was there for real so he could hug the man and tell him how sorry he was that he lost his friend. When his brother, Lt. Florenté, approached the center of the Bridge and spoke, Jamie couldn't be more proud of his older sibling. He knew Joey wasn't comfortable with public speaking, so this had to be difficult for the Lieutenant.
When his brother Joey was finished speaking he went over and gave a hug to the Commodore, Jamie hoped it was from the both of them. Jamie had met Capt Adonis several times at the dinner parties Como Carpathia had at his place on SB34. Although the Petty Officer could see the Captain had an abrasive personality, it wasn't hard to find the kind and giving heart underneath his rough exterior. Jamie was going to miss his presence at future dinner parties and positively knew he wouldn't be the only one. When Lt. Florenté returned to where he was standing near Capt Calzada and Cmdr Delgado, he watched for any reaction from his brother and when he saw Joey nod to the camera, Jamie smiled and knew his brother was thinking of him. The Petty Officer whispered under his breath so softly, it was unlikely to be heard by anyone else on the Holodeck...
PO3 Florenté:
I love you too, Bro...
