The Captain didn't have to think long on LtCmdr Centares' quandary at all. Ajay's family was more than welcome aboard Oriskany and David would make sure they got quarters suitable for the 3 of them to live comfortably. The CO was also pleased to hear that LtCmdr Graham was happy to be home and looking forward to changing out of his black Event Horizon uniform and back into his standard Starfleet issue uniform.

Capt Calzada: I'm glad to have you both back safely, it's a shame Commander Little decided to take a powder on reality and check out. Now we need a new Chief Engineer, so I'll be discussing that with Rear Admiral Martinelli when I have the chance. As for your family, Ajay, they are more than welcome to come aboard Oriskany and live with you. We'll get you some larger quarters as soon as possible. The ship is completely repaired and ready to go, we're just waiting on an assignment from Commodore Carpathia. I hope to get one soon so we can get ourselves busy again. Oriskany has been dormant for too long.

The CO of Oriskany could see the utter joy in the faces of LtCmdr Centares and his lovely wife and adorable son. The Captain knew the boy was too young to be considered a Star Cadet since they had to be 8 years old or older. Being that Ajay's son was only 6 years old, he did not qualify. But perhaps he would someday. David waited to hear any responses from Peter or Ajay regarding what he told them. If they had nothing to say, Capt Calzada was going to speak with RAdm Martinelli as soon as he could to see about getting a replacement for Cmdr Little and possibly a Yeoman of his own.

Peter smiled at Capt Calzada for allowing Ajay to have his family aboard Oriskany. The Chief Sec/Tac Officer really wanted to get out of this black uniform, so he asked the Captain if he could go to his quarters aboard Oriskany and change into his standard duty Starfleet uniform. Event Horizon was nothing more than a bad memory for him and the sooner he got out of this black uniform, the better!

Lt. Commander Graham: If you'll excuse me, Captain. I'd like to get aboard Oriskany and change out of this uniform and put on the correct one for my position. I don't want to remember what a horrible failure Event Horizon's mission was.

The Lieutenant Commander waited on permission from Capt Calzada to hop in a Turbolift and take it to the lounge that led to the Gangway to Oriskany so he could get to his quarters and rid himself of this black uniform that was filled with dark memories of a failed mission and the thoughts of never coming home alive again. Peter never felt as hopeless as he did aboard Event Horizon and never wanted to think about it again. Putting on his regular duty uniform would be a step in the right direction.

Ajay was so happy to hear Capt Calzada approve his family living aboard Oriskany with him and getting larger quarters that he shook the Captain's hand and thanked him profusely! Nothing could've made LtCmdr Centares any happier than he was at this moment.

Lt. Commander Centares: Thank you so, so much, Captain Calzada! You won't regret your decision! I promise you! You've made my family and I so very happy! By any chance, can I go back to our quarters here on base and change out of this uniform? I never liked wearing all black like this. I feel like a minion of Dr. Evil.

The Chief Flight Control Officer of Oriskany was so happy with the Captain's decision to allow Heather and Jaan to live aboard the Sovereign Class vessel that he was almost shedding more tears than he was when he first saw his family here on the Observation Lounge. The next best thing would be getting out of this uniform and back into his regular one, just like his friend Peter requested to do himself.

David nodded his head in agreement, figuring that he would want to shed the uniform of such a failed mission had he been wearing one too. The Captain didn't see any harm in letting them go back to their quarters and get changed into uniforms they were proud of wearing.

Capt Calzada: By all means, go change out of those hideous uniforms. I wouldn't want to wear one of those either. Just be sure to come back soon in case Fleet Admiral Skyner wishes to speak to any of you.

The Captain watched as Peter sprinted for the Turbolifts, along with Ajay and his family following behind. While his officers were off getting changed into their duty uniforms, David looked for RAdm Martinelli and spotted him over by Adm Arayuss and Dr. Brewer. No doubt, both he and MGen Alderez were expressing their condolences to the Chief Medical Officer of Whitestar over the death of his brother, Prof Brewer. Capt Calzada spotted Como Carpathia still gathered by his Infiniti crew like a close knit family, so David decided to walk over to the Commodore and greet his former CO and crew mates.

Capt Calzada: Hello, Commodore. It's a pleasure to see you all again. I just had Commander Little beamed to the Med-Deck so he can stare off into oblivion and blink with his blank expression there, that way he wasn't a distraction to the festivities here. Both Lieutenant Commander Centares and Lieutenant Commander Graham wanted to get out of those black uniforms so I let them go back to their quarters to change. They'll be back in case Fleet Admiral Skyner wants to speak with them. Unfortunately, I don't have a Chief Engineer now so I'm going to talk to Rear Admiral Martinelli about getting a replacement. Also, I'm the only CO in Gamma Fleet without a young Yeoman, so I'd like to get that rectified as well.

The CO of Oriskany stood by his longtime friend and waited to hear if he had anything to say in regard to all that David had told him. Perhaps a suggestion or two would be good. Since Oriskany's first launch in the Gamma Quadrant, it did not have a Yeoman so this would be it's first. However, Cmdr Little was not aboard when Oriskany launched on it's first mission either. Lewis had been temporarily assigned to Infiniti for a short time until they brought the weapons developed by Prof Brewer to Sector Epsilon to decimate the Deltaurans that had invested Oriskany and Whitestar. But Capt Calzada did not want to leave port without a Chief Engineer like Capt Harris did, so if David had to wait, he would.

The Commodore shook the hand of his former XO for it was a pleasure to see him again. As for helping David with a new Chief Engineer, E.J. had a plan that should help Capt Calzada out. Como Carpathia had been considering making PO3 Florenté the Chief Engineer of Infiniti as a Chief Petty Officer. Since Jamie did such a fine job aboard Event Horizon, E.J. thought it best to give the young Engineer the opportunity at a permanent position. This would mean transferring LtCmdr Waters over to Oriskany from Sutherland since the ship was without a Command Crew. As for David not having a Yeoman of his own, that falls under the jurisdiction of RAdm Martinelli.

Como Carpathia: I believe I have a Chief Engineer for you, Captain. We were going to have Lieutenant Commander Waters transfer from Sutherland to Infiniti, but we're going to promote Jamie to a Chief Petty Officer so he could become my Chief Engineer. Therefore I'll put in to have Mr. Waters transferred over to Oriskany for you. However, I cannot help you with a Yeoman since that falls under the purview of Rear Admiral Martinelli.

The Division 1 Commander smiled at Capt Calzada and PO3 Florenté knowing that the Petty Officer must be thrilled to learn of his big promotion to Chief Engineer of Infiniti. This also meant that the Captain's need for his Chief Engineer of Oriskany had been resolved. E.J. hoped that David would be thrilled to have LtCmdr Waters since he proved to be an excellent Engineer on Infiniti's first mission before transferring to Utopia Planetia and back again to USS Sutherland.

David was thrilled with the news that he'd be getting a Chief Engineer for Oriskany! The Captain couldn't wait to meet LtCmdr Waters as soon as possible so he could get to know him. All the CO needed to do now was get himself a Yeoman, which he would need to speak to RAdm Martinelli about that.

Capt Calzada: Thank you so much, Commodore! I greatly appreciate you making the transfer for me! I can't wait to meet him! If he happens to show up, point him in my direction. Do you think we should go over and express our condolences to Dr. Brewer now? Admiral Arayuss has been with him for a while and we've all known the Professor from his time on Infiniti with us. Rear Admiral Martinelli and Major General Alderez are there with them now too, so it may be a good time for us to gather and show the Doctor our love for him through his brother's love for us.

The Captain waited to see what the Commodore had to say about David joining the Infiniti crew and walking over to share their love with Dr. Brewer. The CO knew not to blurt out his need for a Yeoman to the Rear Admiral just yet, David would wait a while till they were alone to make the request. But for now, Capt Calzada would patiently wait until the time was right.

The CO of Infiniti was happy to of made his former XO so thankful in suggesting that LtCmdr Waters take the position Cmdr Little made available by his mental lock-up. E.J. nodded, perhaps it was a good time to bring the Infiniti crew over to express their condolences to Dr. Brewer since RAdm Martinelli and MGen Alderez was already there.

Como Carpathia: You're welcome, my friend. I think it would be alright for all of us to walk over and tell Dr. Brewer how much his brother meant to us. Let's make our way over there now and let the Doctor know how much Professor Brewer will be missed.

Lt. Panettiere had joined them as they were walking over and E.J. could see in his Yeoman's eyes that he had been crying. The Commodore put an arm around the Lieutenant as they all walked over to where Adm Arayuss was seated on the sofa with Dr. Brewer.

Como Carpathia: Dr. Brewer, I'm Commodore E.J. Carpathia. We've have all had numerous encounters with your brother aboard Infiniti and we want you to know just how much we loved him and that we'll all miss him tremendously. Professor Brewer's assistance with the weapons against the Deltaurans made him a hero to the galaxy. We all owe him our lives for had he not discovered a way to destroy them, the Deltaurans would've become an unstoppable force that would've wiped out our galaxy. We're so sorry for your loss, Doctor. We really are...

One by one each member of Infiniti's crew in attendance shook the Doctor's hand and expressed their sorrow over Dr. Brewer's loss. They all gave touching memories of how they knew the Professor and how much he meant to them. Dr. Brewer thanked each one of them in turn as they finished telling stories on when they first met the Professor and how they enjoyed working with him. Among the Infiniti crew, there were members of Whitestar's crew that came over as well. One of them in particular was Dr. Brewer's assistant, Dr. Tudismaque. This was the Doctor's closest friend aboard Whitestar, so the Commodore took a few steps back to give Lt. JG Tudismaque access to hug Dr. Brewer and share his condolences to his friend.

Jacques hugged Dr. Brewer tightly as he whispered in his friend's ear how sorry he was that his brother had been murdered by an Alliance saboteur. It truly was a travesty that Prof Brewer was killed. Dr. Tudismaque did not have the opportunity to perform an autopsy aboard Event Horizon, so that still needed to take place. Adm Arayuss was seated beside the Doctor so Jacques spoke to the Admiral next.

Lt. JG Tudismaque: Admiral Arayuss, I didn't have a chance to perform an autopsy on the Professor while we were in Universe C-57D, so I'm wondering...will I have the opportunity here on Starbase 34 in the Med-Deck's Morgue. I feel I should give some closure to Dr. Brewer on how his brother was murdered by Jo'Kla.

The Assistant Medical Officer of Whitestar was still hugging Dr. Brewer as he waited to hear what Adm Arayuss had to say about allowing Dr. Tudismaque the task of completing the autopsy of Prof Brewer, so that everyone would know how Jo'Kla managed to kill the Professor without leaving an obvious trace of something behind. Jacques knew that there were many among the crew of the late vessel, Event Horizon, that truly wanted to know how Prof Brewer was murdered.

The Admiral understood the need for closure on how Jo'Kla managed to murder Prof Brewer, but with the request Dr. Brewer made to perform the autopsy of his brother back home on Earth meant Dr. Tudismaque was not going to have the opportunity he was seeking. Dr. Brewer was planning on retiring from Starfleet permanently so he could spend time with his family in Georgia and interring the Professor in the family plot on their property in Henry County. Cmdr Brewer promised to send the results of the autopsy to the Admiral's office, to which the CinC would post the findings to everyone else.

Adm Arayuss: My apologies, Dr. Tudismaque. Sonny will be performing the autopsy himself after he gets Lloyd's body back to their home in Henry County, Georgia. The Doctor has promised to send me the results of the autopsy and I will share them with you as soon as possible. Fleet Admiral Skyner will be returning to Starfleet Headquarters after he debriefs Commander Cypher, so he will be taking Dr. Brewer and the Professor back with him. You will be the Chief Medical Officer aboard Whitestar and promoted to the rank of Lieutenant, effective immediately.

The CinC knew Lt. JG Tudismaque's promotion to Chief Medical Officer would be something to celebrate as well as his rank increase to a full Lieutenant. But under the circumstances, Jacques may not feel like celebrating just yet. The young Doctor was losing his friend to retirement and Aeryck could see the painful sting behind Dr. Tudismaque's eyes. The Admiral used his PADD to make the changes to the young Doctor's rank and position on Whitestar's roster and sent a notification to the Office of the Chief of Fleet Operations, the Division 1 Commander's Office, the CO and XO of Whitestar, Capt Daqtorgh and Cmdr Ashborn as well.

Tony got the message update on his PADD and saw that Dr. Tudismaque was promoted to the Chief Medical Officer aboard Whitestar and to the rank of full Lieutenant. The Rear Admiral walked over to the Doctor and patted him on the shoulder as he shook his hand in a congratulatory fashion.

RAdm Martinelli: Congratulations, Dr. Tudismaque! I know this is a time of great sadness, but it's also time to celebrate the good from all of this and I know you'll do a superb job as Whitestar's Chief Medical Officer.

The Chief of Fleet Operations was very pleased to hear that Whitestar wasn't going to be without a Chief Medical Officer. Tony was aware that the incapacitation of Cmdr Little left Oriskany without a Chief Engineer so that was going to need addressing. Judging by the way Como Carpathia and Capt Calzada were moseying around, RAdm Martinelli had the feeling they wanted to speak about the issue. Tony gave the Commodore the look of Go ahead and speak! so they could discuss the situation with Oriskany a few steps away from Dr. Brewer and the other mourners.
