Daqtorgh agreed with the Admiral's plan and wanted him to know the Marines should be equipped with the appropriate scanning devices to make sure they can scan for those impregnated with Xenomorph embryos.

Capt Daqtorgh: I agree, Admiral. I would also like to add that we have medical personnel on all ships standing by and we should give the Marines the devices that would allow the scanning of survivors before being transported aboard. I will have my Ensign join my medical team along with Counselor Ho.

The Klingon Captain continued as he looked towards Adm Arayuss...

Capt Daqtorgh: I think a broadcast is good, but there was interference when we sent our probe into the cave. If we can broadcast at a frequency that will penetrate the caves that will give the survivors a better chance to hear our message. I can have Mr. Skonch and Mr. Cypher get to work on a frequency that we can broadcast at.

The CO of Whitestar waited to hear from Adm Arayuss on his reaction to the additions Daqtorgh made to the plan. If the infected survivors could be isolated from the rest of those that survived the infestation of New Bajor, they could be quickly removed from the planet to a safe place while the impregnated ones could maybe have the embryos removed on the surface before they're transported to the ships in orbit above New Rakantha.

E.J. understood what the Admiral was going to do and completely approved. The Commodore also approved of what Capt Daqtorgh added by suggesting the use of portable scanning devices to detect Xenomorph embryos in the chest of any survivors. E.J. also thought it was good for Cmdr Skonch and Cmdr Cypher to get to work on finding a frequency that could penetrate the system of caves running under New Rakantha.

Como Carpathia: My Marines will be ready as soon as they're needed and they'll be outfitted with the proper scanning devices to make sure nobody with a Xenomorph embryo inside them leaves New Bajor without having it removed first, Admiral. All you have to do is give the word, Sir.

The Commodore smiled at both Adm Arayuss and Capt Daqtorgh. E.J. knew that Cmdr Skonch and Cmdr Cypher were great at their jobs and with the modifications to the equipment they'll be using to find a useful frequency should be possible. Como Carpathia had a feeling the Marines would be needed even if they were able to get a message through to the survivors. Those who survived the infestation still needed to be checked on the surface before they dared transport up to any of the vessels in orbit of New Bajor.

The Admiral was pleased with the suggestion made by Capt Daqtorgh and hearing Como Carpathia say his Marines would be ready to assist with the rescue of the survivors on New Bajor. Aeryck was not sure if there was anything left to discuss here in the Conference Room aboard Whitestar.

Adm Arayuss: Good suggestion about the scanning devices distributed to the Marines to make sure no Xenomorph embryos make it off the planet, Captain Daqtorgh. Get Commander Skonch and Commander Cypher working on a frequency that can penetrate into the caves running under the city, that way we can find out where the survivors are hiding. Commodore, have your Marines ready to mobilize with the proper weapons for the situation. Captain Calzada, as soon as a frequency is discovered by Skonch and Cypher you should start broadcasting on it will as much power you can muster mister. Once we have established contact, the Marines will be sent down to begin scanning the survivors for embryos. Once the infected are separated from the rest of the survivors, medical teams will go down there and start removing the embryos ASAP. Only after all the survivors are aboard our ships will I launch the Genesis Device from Explorer.

Aeryck tapped his Combadge to call out to his vessel...

Adm Arayuss: Arayuss to Explorer, have you been listening in on the meeting?

Explorer-Com: Yes, Admiral. I will have the Genesis Device ready to launch on your command.

Adm Arayuss: Excellent, you will be hearing from me soon regarding the transport of survivors. Arayuss out.

The Admiral returned to the officers in the meeting and looked towards Capt Daqtorgh...

Adm Arayuss: Well Captain Daqtorgh, I believe we have everything covered. If you can adjourn the meeting, we can return to our ships and get them ready for survivors and sending our medical teams down to remove any embryos from those who have been exposed to Xenomorph embryos. If anyone here has something to add, now is the time to speak up.

The CinC waited on hearing from anyone else attending the meeting to see if they had anything to add to what was discussed. Both Cmdr Ashborn and Cmdr Kee had been sitting there silently so the Admiral wanted to hear from both of them before the meeting was adjourned by Capt Daqtorgh. Once Aeryck heard from the XO's of Oriskany and Whitestar, he would be satisfied that everyone had a voice in the meeting.

James agreed with everything that was said. The XO heard about Xenomorphs and the clear and present danger they were to all sentient life they came into contact with. Using the Genesis Device to obliterate New Bajor and turn it into a planet suitable for colonization was indeed a good suggestion by Adm Arayuss. Even though everything that was constructed by the Bajorans would be destroyed, they would at least be able to rebuild. Whereas if the planet was bombarded with Plasma Torpedoes from the vessels in orbit, the area would be laid to waste and rebuilding there would prove to be extremely difficult.

Cmdr Kee: I agree with everything that was said, Admiral. Using the Genesis Device is a superb idea, Sir. The colonists will still have a planet to rebuild upon once the new world is revealed. We just need to make sure there were no people exposed to the Xenomorphs before they departed New Bajor. We're going to have to find someone who may know about such things, like which ships departed the planet recently. They'll need to be contacted and boarded to make sure none of them are infected with an embryo. We should consider this a quarantine situation, Admiral.

The XO of Oriskany smiled at everyone seated around the table and hoped his suggestion wasn't too far fetched. James just thought it was important to make sure there weren't people with Xenomorphs inside them were not gallivanting about space with hostile killing machines inside them. The Commander knew full well what could happen to a ship and its crew with just one of those creatures aboard. James read the report of what happened aboard Infiniti and how the bravery of their Yeoman went through the vents and Jeffries Tubes after the Xenomorph, only to end up in the Impulse Engine Exhaust Manifold where Yeoman Panettiere's quick thinking flushed the creature out into space. The XO hoped beyond hope that one of those things wouldn't make it aboard Oriskany. James wasn't sure Yeoman McKenna would want to deal with such a calamity.

The Commander felt these were the best options for New Bajor at this time. Since the Marines aboard Infiniti were the best at this sort of mission, Chase knew they had to be the ones to go in first. The Marines aboard Whitestar were combat pilots and would not be useful in a situation like this. Not even for air cover during the evacuation of the survivors. Under these conditions, it would be too dangerous for the people on the surface to have Starfighters overhead firing down around the area should Xenomorphs approach the extraction positions.

Cmdr Ashborn: I concur with Captain Daqtorgh. As long as the people are rescued and those carrying Xenomorph embryos are medically cleared of the organisms before being transported up to the vessels in orbit, I see no reason for you not to use the Genesis Device to destroy the bug colony down there, Admiral. Our Marines are combat pilots, well trained and the best at their jobs, but I don't believe they would be any good down there for air support given the current situation. It would be too dangerous for everyone on the surface should Xenomorphs try to overrun the extraction location. The best chance those people have is the Squad of Marines aboard Infiniti to keep the area secure while the survivors are transported off the surface, Sir.

The XO of Whitestar read about the adventures of the Marines under the command of MCpt Lopez and was very impressed with their exploits. Their knowledge of all kinds of weapons was unmatched in Gamma Fleet. Cmdr Ashborn didn't know anything about the Xenomorphs before today, but from what he did comprehend from the orientation given by Ens Garcia, they were ruthless creatures Hell bent on killing. They were almost as bad as the Deltaurans!

Daqtorgh was now in agreement with everyone who spoke at the table in the Conference Room. The Captain was certain that a Quarantine Zone around New Bajor be implemented immediately.

Capt Daqtorgh: I agree with Commander Kee, a Level One Quarantine Zone should be put around New Bajor. Nothing coming to the planet, nothing leaving. I also recommend we search the planet's shipping manifests to see what and how many ships have left New Bajor and run them down. I recommend Explorer for this job, Admiral.

Looking over towards Capt Calzada, Daqtorgh continued to speak...

Capt Daqtorgh: Captain Calzada will make the broadcast when ready. Commodore Carpathia will have his Marines equipped and standing by. Whitestar will run point and work on finding a suitable frequency for the Oriskany to make its broadcast. I would like, if the Commodore don't mind, to have his medical team take lead as they have experience with Xenomorphs. We will transport survivors til the Genesis weapon is ready to use then we will bring them to Starbase 34 for processing. I have nothing further.

The CO of Whitestar looked over at Ens Garcia and gave his Yeoman a nod of approval. Daqtorgh was extremely proud of the boy and his diligence to provide all the information on the Xenomorphs he had at the meeting. The Captain would definitely be giving the Ensign a lot more responsibility in the future.

Aeryck was not too surprised that Capt Daqtorgh was unaware that Explorer had no crew, that the ship was completely automated and run by a computer bestowed with artificial intelligence and sentience. To send it chasing after miscellaneous vessels was not prudent or practical. The vessel that would need to go after the ships on New Bajor's manifest should have an active crew aboard with medical personnel to scan for embryos and have the skill to remove them. There was no way Explorer could do this with a boatload of refugees aboard.

Adm Arayuss: Captain Daqtorgh, my ship has no crew. It's a sentient ship that's bonded to me. It came because you needed help transporting survivors from New Bajor. There is no medical personnel to beam over to the vessels on the manifest to check out the passengers and crews of those ships for Xenomorph embryos. I feel that after we bring all the survivors back to Starbase 34, Whitestar chase down those vessels that way you get more experience with your crew. Dr. Tudismaque is an excellent physician and he could certainly handle the task.

The Admiral looked over towards Como Carpathia and continued with what he had to say.

Adm Arayuss: Commodore, have your Squad of Marines ready to transport to the surface of the planet as soon as contact has been made with the survivors. I would like all the ships to broadcast on the same frequency as soon as it is discovered by Mr. Skonch and Mr. Cypher, that way the wavelength has more power behind it to penetrate the system of caves below New Rakantha. With a little hope, we will get through to them and get the survivors out of the caves so they can be checked and transported off the surface.

The CinC waited to hear if anyone else had anything to add to the meeting. If not, they could be dismissed and return to their ships in orbit above New Bajor. They all had tasks to perform in order to save the lives of everyone that survived the Xenomorph outbreak. Once they retrieved every last savable person off the surface, the ships would break orbit and head for SB34 with Explorer remaining behind to activate the Genesis Device on the surface of New Bajor. Once the 4 minute countdown began, the USS Explorer would head for the Starbase to deliver the refugees.

Daqtorgh nodded to the Admiral as he spoke on the change of plan for Whitestar to seek out the vessels on the manifest from New Bajor.

Capt Daqtorgh: I'm in agreement that we adjourn and get on with our selected tasks so we can make the Bajorans a new home.

The CO then turned to Cmdr Ashborn...

Capt Daqtorgh: Get Mr. Skonch and Mr. Cypher working on the frequency right away, Commander. I'll get Dr. Tudismaque, Counselor Ho and Ensign Garcia working on preparing Sickbay and prepare to scan the crews and passengers on any of the ships we come across after we drop off the refugees. I'll have Mr. Mitchell track the ships that got away before quarantine as well. As soon as the new frequency is discovered we'll make sure to send it to all ships so they can bombard the caves with the transmission.

The Captain rose from his chair and waited for the other officers around the table to do the same. Daqtorgh's next destination would be to escort the officers to the Transporter Room before heading on to the Bridge to resume command of his vessel from Cmdr Skonch.

Chase stood up from his chair as he responded to Capt Daqtorgh regarding the orders he just gave to the Commander.

Cmdr Ashborn: Aye, Sir! I'll get right on it!

The XO of Whitestar exited the Conference Room and walked over to the Bridge where he found Cmdr Skonch sitting in the CO's chair. Tapping his Combadge, Chase called for Cmdr Cypher to report to the Bridge.

Cmdr Ashborn: Ashborn to Commander Cypher! Report to the Bridge, on the double!

While the Commander waited for the Chief Engineer to come to the Bridge, Chase looked at the Main Viewscreen and could see the surface of New Bajor. The XO wondered how the survivors down there were holding up. The images of the Xenomorphs supplied by Ens Garcia were surely terrifying! Cmdr Ashborn had a lot of experience, but in all those years in Starfleet he had never seen ALIENS like this!

Aeryck stood up from the chair he was occupying in the Conference Room and began making his way to the door that lead to the corridor they entered from.

Adm Arayuss: This meeting is officially adjourned. Captain Daqtorgh, we look forward to getting the appropriate frequency we will need to get through the thalium laced caves under New Rakantha. I will not set the Genesis Device to begin it's sequence until everyone is off New Bajor. I promise you that.

Looking over towards VAdm Martinelli, the Admiral spoke to him in a comical way between good friends.

Adm Arayuss: Come along, Tony. It is time to get back to Sutherland, you need to take command as soon as I transport over to Explorer. I trust you are up to the job?

The CinC smiled at the Vice Admiral, since Aeryck knew Tony was more than ready to beam up the survivors as soon as the opportunity presented itself. This would be the primary task of Sutherland while it was in orbit above New Bajor. The Admiral was going over to Explorer because the final sequence to start the Genesis Device had to be done by hand on the remote controller. There was a encoded 4 minute countdown before the Genesis Effect would begin and Aeryck would make sure Explorer and the refugees aboard it would be warping out of the system to a safe distance from the shock wave. From there they could witness the birth of a new world to be colonized by the Bajorans.
