Bridge - Deck 1

After receiving the information David was seeking, the Captain thanked Cmdr Kee for letting him know who would be the acting CO and XO while they were over on Whitestar attending the meeting along with Adm Arayuss and VAdm Martinelli and the rest of the CO's and XO's.

Capt Calzada: Thank you James, Ajay you have the Bridge while we're aboard Whitestar for the meeting. Michaelangelo, you will be acting XO and are to be known as the Third Officer from now on.

The Captain sat in the CO's chair on the Bridge and waited for Sutherland to arrive so he and Cmdr Kee could beam over to Whitestar together. Once there, they would be reunited with Adm Arayuss, VAdm Martinelli, Como Carpathia, Cmdr Delgado, Capt Daqtorgh and Cmdr Ashborn in Whitestar's Conference Room. Then they could discuss what to do about the situation on New Bajor.

As James saw the arrival of Sutherland on the console by the XO's chair, he also saw that Michaelangelo had it on the Main Viewscreen as well. It was just a few seconds later that Capt Daqtorgh's image filled the screen with his welcome message to the Admiral and an invitation for the CO's and XO's to beam over to Whitestar for the meeting.

Capt Daqtorgh: Hello Admiral, welcome to New Bajor! The Conference Room aboard Whitestar is ready for you and Vice Admiral Martinelli, Commodore Carpathia and his XO from Infiniti and Captain Calzada and his XO from Oriskany. I'll await you with my XO, Commander Ashborn, in the Transporter Room.

The XO looked over at Capt Calzada and gave him a nod, for it was now time to depart the Bridge and head to their Transporter Room.

Cmdr Kee: It would appear that it's time for us to beam over to Whitestar for the meeting, Captain. Are you ready, Sir?

The Commander got up from the XO's chair and continued to look over at Capt Calzada while waiting for him to rise up from the CO's chair and lead the way to the Transporter Room on Deck 4. James knew that it wouldn't be long before they would be beaming over to Whitestar for the meeting Capt Daqtorgh was having with Adm Arayuss, VAdm Martinelli, Como Carpathia, Capt Calzada and the XO's from Infiniti and Whitestar, which also included himself from Oriskany.

David quickly got up from his chair and stood beside James and put his hand on his XO's shoulder. It was now time for them to beam over to Whitestar and meet with the other CO's and XO's of the fleet and discuss what to do about New Bajor.

Capt Calzada: I'm as ready as I'll ever be! Let's go for it!

Together they took the Turbolift down to Deck 4 and walked to Transporter Room 1. As soon as they entered, the Captain told the attendant behind the console where they wanted to go and stepped up onto the pads.

Capt Calzada: Energize!

The Captain and Commander dematerialized from the Transporter Room aboard Oriskany in the brilliant spectral light and vanished from sight. They were now on their way to Whitestar for the meeting with the rest of the leaders of Gamma Fleet to determine the fate of the colony.

Transporter Room - Deck 4

James and Capt Calzada materialized on the Transporter Pads back aboard Oriskany and breathed a sign of relief to be back aboard their own vessel. They thanked the Transporter Chief before making their way to the Bridge via a Turbolift. Once they arrived, the XO relieved LtCmdr Centares of his Bridge duty and asked if anything happened while the CO and XO were off the ship.

Cmdr Kee: We're back, Ajay. Did we miss anything while we were aboard Whitestar for the meeting with Admiral Arayuss, Vice Admiral Martinelli, Commodore Carpathia, Captain Daqtorgh, Commander Delgado and Commander Ashborn?

As the XO resumed his seat on the Bridge, along with Capt Calzada taking his as well, James waited on hearing a report from LtCmdr Centares on the happenings aboard Oriskany from when they were aboard Whitestar in the big meeting. Chase wasn't expecting to hear much since Ajay never contacted the Captain or himself while they were in Whitestar's Conference Room, but one would never know unless it was inquired upon.

Bridge - Deck 1

Ajay was thrilled to see Capt Calzada and Cmdr Kee return to the Bridge from their meeting aboard Whitestar. While they were gone, not a single thing happened in their absence and the Lieutenant Commander told them so.

Lt. Commander Centares: Welcome back, Sirs! You both didn't miss a thing while you were gone. We've been standing by since you left. Was the meeting classified, or can you let us know what happened over there?

The Chief Flight Control Officer rose up from the CO's chair, vacating it for Capt Calzada, then returned to the Flight Control Station at the front of the Bridge. Ajay really wanted to know if a plan was devised to save the people on New Bajor, it had to be really scary for them down there.

David was happy to resume his command of Oriskany as he took his seat, as far as the Captain was concerned there was nothing classified about the meeting. Therefore the CO announced to everyone on the Bridge what the plan was for the colonists of New Bajor.

Capt Calzada: Well, they're working on isolating a frequency aboard Whitestar that can penetrate the thalium that's lining the caves and tunnels under New Rakantha. Once that's been achieved, we'll be giving a full powered broadcast down to the surface to let the colonists know there's ships up here to rescue them. Commodore Carpathia will be sending his Squad of Marines down there to assist with the evacuation, along with protecting the survivors and the medical team the Commodore is sending down there to remove Xenomorph embryos from infected colonists. Once everyone has been evacuated, in order to keep the planet a place for colonization and to wipe out the Xenomorph population, the Admiral will be launching a Genesis Device down to the planet where every living thing will cease to exist and New Bajor will be reborn into a new planet to colonize. So there you have it! That's the plan, so all we have to do until Whitestar contacts us with the proper frequency modulation is maintain our orbit and relax. That should be easy for us to do. By the way, Mr. Boffi, have Yeoman McKenna report to the Bridge with some coffee. I have a feeling we'll all be needing it.

The Captain looked around at the confused faces and realized none of them knew what either Xenomorphs or the Genesis Device was. David accessed the ship's computer from his chair and made a request to use the Main Viewscreen to show all the data on the creatures, followed by the information on Project: Genesis.

Capt Calzada: Computer, on the Main Viewscreen, show all data and information on the Xenomorphs and follow that up with everything you have on Project: Genesis.

Oriskany-Com: Understood, Captain. All data and information is coming up now.

The Main Viewscreen went dark, no longer showing the image of New Bajor from orbit and instead showed the seal of Starfleet Command. After the image of the seal disappeared, it was followed by a flow of information on the Xenomorphs, their life cycle, the different castes of them as well. Once the presentation concluded, the Main Viewscreen showed the video log of Dr. Carol Marcus narrating the parameters of Project: Genesis along with a visual presentation of how the device worked and created a new world from a lifeless planet. Once that was finished, the Captain looked around the Bridge to see if anyone had any questions. If they did, David would answer them to the best of his ability.

While watching all of the information on the Xenomorphs and Project: Genesis on the Main Viewer, Michaelangelo almost didn't notice the message from Whitestar come in regarding what to send in the broadcast down to the planet below them. Upon it's arrival, the Lieutenant Commander stored the message so it could be sent as soon as a frequency was provided to penetrate the thalium in the caves.

Lt. Commander Boffi: Captain, Whitestar has sent the following message for us to use in the broadcast down to the planet...Five Starships in orbit, prepare for immediate evacuation, Marines coming down for protection with medical staff to remove embryos from infected survivors, spaceport manifest needed upon arrival...I've stored it and will send the message as soon as we received the frequency from Captain Daqtorgh.

Once the information on the Main Viewscreen was complete, the Bridge was quiet in reflection of all that was just learned about the alien creatures and the formidable power of the Genesis Device. LtCmdr Boffi understood why the device in question had been kept a secret for so long, if it were to be used on a populated planet, all life on it would be instantly destroyed in favor of it's new matrix. This could be perverted into a horrible weapon of ultimate power, it was no wonder it had been banned at the Khitomer Accords from further use back in 2293.

David was thrilled to hear the message from Whitestar they would be sending down to the catacombs beneath New Rakantha. It was clear and easy to understand by anyone with a communication device, which had to be the excellent work of Whitestar's Chief Operations Officer. Not that Oriskany didn't have an excellent Chief Operations Officer of its own.

Capt Calzada: That's a great message for us to send down into the caverns below the capital city, Mr. Boffi! Thank you for staying right on top of things!

The CO listened for any questions from the Bridge crew regarding the data they observed on the Main Viewscreen. If they needed to know anything, the Captain was there to assist them. David learned a lot from Como Carpathia as his XO aboard Infiniti and one of those things was always to be there for his crew. Capt Calzada looked around and could see the faces of everyone on the Bridge was in deep thought over the information on the Xenomorphs and Project: Genesis.

Michaelangelo's eye caught the incoming message from Whitestar that contained all the frequency data they needed for the broadcast to the caves under New Rakantha. LtCmdr Boffi immediately informed Capt Calzada of the message being received with thrilled excitement!

Lt. Commander Boffi: Captain, we've finally got the data from Whitestar on the frequency modulation! I'm setting it to One point Twenty-One Gigahertz on Subspace Frequency Eighty-Eight, the message will repeat itself every twelve seconds! I'm also diverting reserve power to the Communication Array so we can give a full powered broadcast into the catacombs below the surface of the city. Captain Daqtorgh wants to coordinate the transmission so for now we need to wait on that. I'll send over an acknowledgement that we got the message and we're standing by for his order to begin sending the broadcast down there, Sir.

The Chief Ops Officer did as he said and got the message ready to send as LtCmdr Boffi then sent an acknowledgement over to Whitestar and let them know Oriskany was ready to go! Michaelangelo knew the Captain was going to be pleased they were finally prepared to send the long awaited message down to the hiding colonists in the caves below the capital city.

David was tickled pink when he heard the frequency had been found! The Captain rose up from his chair and stood between the Ops and Flight Control Stations to get ready for Capt Daqtorgh's order for a coordinated broadcast. The CO knew it wouldn't be long before... suddenly the Klingon Captain's face filled the Main Viewscreen as he spoke to LtCmdr Boffi.

Capt Daqtorgh: Attention all Ops Officers this is Captain Daqtorgh aboard Whitestar, on my mark commence broadcasting the message. 1-2-3 Mark.

The Oriskany's Chief Operations Officer did as Capt Daqtorgh had ordered and began broadcasting the message with the extra power behind it. David returned to his chair on the Bridge and before he could thank Capt Daqtorgh, the screen had returned to the image of the dark side of New Bajor where the storm was ravaging the city of New Rakantha. Soon it would be time to start beaming up refugees so Capt Calzada tapped the Companel on the arm of his chair to address the entire ship.

Capt Calzada: Attention Oriskany crew, this is Captain Calzada speaking. Soon we'll be transporting refugees up here from New Bajor. We need to get as many aboard as possible so corridors and rooms will get tight temporarily. Dr. Jovic, your medical services will be required for any colonists in need of treatment, so have Sickbay ready. Counselor Arrayah, you'll be needed to assist any of the colonists with psychiatric issues. All Transporter Rooms standby to receive incoming refugees. Calzada out.

With the announcement out of the way, David relaxed in the CO's chair and thought to himself about the trauma the colonists would have gone through, especially with the children. Having LtCmdr Arrayah aboard to help them until Oriskany returned to SB34 would help the kids a lot, that way they would know they're in a safe place free of the terrors of the Xenomorphs.
