Bridge - Deck 1

The Ensign smiled at Cmdr Cypher as Luis looked up towards the Chief Engineer in the Captain's chair. The Commander was indeed in charge while Capt Daqtorgh was in his Ready Room speaking with Como Carpathia.

Ens Garcia: Yes you are, Commander Cypher!

The Yeoman remained seated to Cmdr Cypher's left in the auxiliary chair that was next to where the Captain sat. Luis was very happy to be occupying this seat on the Bridge, even though it was not his permanent place. The Ensign actually had an office of his own where Luis could be reached and could carry out tasks the CO, XO or anyone else who needed him could reach Whitestar's Yeoman.

Ready Room - Deck 1

Daqtorgh listened to the Commodore intently before saying anything in return.

Como Carpathia: Well, Captain. Since you're closer to Starbase 34, you can either ask for them to send over a transport ship, tow the Galactic Princess by Tractor Beam close enough to the base so they could beam the evacuees off the ship, or use your Transporter Buffer to hold them so Whitestar isn't over crowded and bring them to Starbase 34 yourself. We'll be taking on a lot of refugees here so we won't be able to come to your aid at this time. Let me know what you decide to do, Captain. I'm here to chat with you whenever you need me.

The Captain responded to let Como Carpathia know that was all the Klingon Captain had to report at this time.

Capt Daqtorgh: That is all I have, Commodore. Thank you for taking the time to give me those fine suggestions. You will hear from me again soon. Daqtorgh out.

Daqtorgh got up from the Ready Room desk and walked out the door to Bridge after turning off the terminal. The Captain saw Cmdr Cypher sitting in the CO's chair and that made the Klingon smile.

Capt Daqtorgh: Thank you, Commander Cypher. Please have a seat in the XO's chair. While Commander Ashborn is aboard the Galactic Princess you will be the acting XO.

The Captain was curious how much time elapsed while he was in the Ready Room speaking with the Division 1 Commander, so he made an inquiry of Lt. Thomas at the Flight Control Station.

Capt Daqtorgh: Mr. Thomas, what is our current ETA?

Daqtorgh turned towards the Ops Station and continued speaking...

Capt Daqtorgh: Mr. Mitchell, open a hailing frequency to Starbase 34!

The CO stood on the Bridge and waited for Cmdr Cypher to switch over to the XO's chair so Daqtorgh could sit in his own seat. While waiting on the Chief Engineer, the Captain also waited on hearing the updated ETA from Lt. Thomas and the frequency being open to SB34 from Lt. Mitchell. While Daqtorgh was waiting, he thought about what he was going to say to whomever he had the chance to speak with back at Fleet Operations.

Bridge - Deck 1

Thom was slightly embarrassed to have the Captain remind him that he should've sat in the XO's seat! The Chief Engineer quickly jumped up and took a seat to the right of the CO's chair. Looking around the Bridge, Thom didn't see anyone smirking at him, so that was a good sign that he wouldn't be thought of as a joke aboard Whitestar.

Cmdr Cypher: My apologies, Captain! I didn't mean to overstep my authority. I thought you were going to be busy in your Ready Room for a while. I realize that's no excuse, so you have my most sincere apology, Sir.

The Chief Engineer surveyed the Bridge and still saw no looks of ridicule, which made Thom quite glad he was not going to be considered a joke. The Commander couldn't believe he made such a stupid mistake and wished he could crawl back to Engineering and hide behind his console. Thom hoped the Klingon Captain wasn't dishonored by Cmdr Cypher's error in judgement.

Dylan heard the Captain's inquiry on the amount of time it was going to take to intercept the Galactic Princess and immediately complied.

Lt. Thomas: Our current ETA is five minutes, thirty-six seconds, Captain!

The Chief Flight Control Officer kept a watchful eye on his console, making sure to decelerate to Warp 2 as soon as they were within range of the Luxury Cruise Ship. Dylan was somewhat worried about the Away Team going over what was certainly going to be a dangerous Away Mission.

Doing as Capt Daqtorgh ordered, Cole opened a hailing frequency to SB34. It didn't take long at all to get a response. Answering the hail was Cmdr Joseph Getraer, Chief Operations Officer for the base.

Lt. Mitchell: I've reached Starbase 34, Captain! Commander Joseph Getraer, Chief Operations Officer for the whole base is responding...

Cmdr Getraer: This is Commander Joseph Getraer, Chief Operations Officer of Starbase 34. How may I help you, Captain Daqtorgh?

All eyes on the Bridge went from looking at the image of the middle-aged man on the Main Viewscreen to Capt Daqtorgh to see what the CO had to say to the Chief Operations Officer of SB34. Cole was curious as well, perhaps it had something to do with the conversation the Captain had with Como Carpathia. The Lieutenant knew they would all find out shortly when Capt Daqtorgh responded to Cmdr Getraer.

Daqtorgh remained standing as he addressed the Chief Operations Officer of SB34 out of respect for the man and his position at the Starbase.

Capt Daqtorgh: Hello, Commander! I have hailed you because I need your assistance. I do not know if you have been following the crisis on New Bajor, but if you have not...they currently have a Xenomorph outbreak.

The Captain continued in the typical stoic Klingon manner, when dealing with a crisis of indecision.

Capt Daqtorgh: I have forty refugee children on board and am tailing the Galactic Princess Cruise Ship with seven hundred and eleven crew and passengers. I spoke with Commodore Carpathia about the situation and he gave me three suggestions. One, is to notify you to get passenger ships out to my location. Two, would be to use a Tractor Beam to tow the Cruise Ship back to Starbase 34. Three, to have the evacuees transport over to Whitestar and having them remain in Buffer Stasis while we transport them to the base. How can you help us, Commander Getraer?

The CO continued to remain standing and waited on the response from the Chief Operations Officer of SB34. Daqtorgh hoped the Commander would have some sort of solution for the situation Whitestar was currently in. Never during his time in the Klingon Defense Force had the Captain dealt with such a scenario. With 5 minutes left to go before they reached the Galactic Princess, Daqtorgh wanted to be ready to implement some kind of plan to rescue all the passengers and crew from the Xenomorphs and needed the assistance of Cmdr Getraer to do so.

Looking at the face of Cmdr Getraer on the Main Viewscreen, Cole could see the Commander was pondering all Capt Daqtorgh told him. After a few moments went by, the Chief Operations Officer of SB34 responded.

Cmdr Getraer: I hear you, Captain Daqtorgh. We can assist with all of the above. I can dispatch passenger vessels to take on the evacuees from the Galactic Princess for you. If you want to use your Tractor Beam to bring the Cruise Ship here to Starbase 34, we can use our Transporters to bring them aboard. Or if you wish, you can hold them all in stasis in the pattern buffer of your Transporter System until you can bring them here yourselves. It's up to you, Captain.

The Commander smiled back at Capt Daqtorgh, feeling that whatever decision the CO of Whitestar made, it would work out fine for the people aboard the Galactic Princess. Cole thought Cmdr Getraer was being extremely helpful, in the way he offered to assist in any of the options Como Carpathia suggested to the Captain. From what Lt. Mitchell could tell, Capt Daqtorgh was very honorable and would make the right decision, since they were all good ideas.

Daqtorgh looked at Main Viewscreen towards Cmdr Getraer, knowing the Captain had to make a choice. The CO decided to go with a hybrid method of the 3 suggestions given to him.

Capt Daqtorgh: Commander, we would like you to dispatch transport ships! Plus, we will tow the Cruise Ship to you for further investigation! Thank you for your assistance in this matter, Commander Getraer! Whitestar out!

Seeing the image of the Chief Operations Officer of SB34 disappear after nodding that he understood what Capt Daqtorgh had told him. The Captain tapped his Combadge.

Capt Daqtorgh: Daqtorgh to Commander Ashborn! When you arrive on the Galactic Princess, start giving all the passengers and crew an examination to make sure none of them bring a nasty beast aboard the transport ships coming to bring them to Starbase 34.

The Captain looked over towards the Chief Sec/Tac Officer next...

Capt Daqtorgh: Mr. Wolf, once we engage the Tractor Beam to disrupt their Warp Field and they drop to sub-light speed, send our Away Team over. Once they're done with their work, we are going to tow the Galactic Princess back to Starbase 34.

The CO walked back to the Captain's Chair on the Command Deck and took his seat. Daqtorgh looked over at Ens Garcia and gave him a nod to assure the young Yeoman that all was going to be fine. The Captain felt good about his decision and waited to see it all transpire before him.

Transporter Room 1 - Deck 4

The Commander heard Capt Daqtorgh and tapped his Combadge to reply.

Cmdr Ashborn: Ashborn here! Aye, Captain!

Looking over towards Dr. Tudismaque, the XO made sure the Doctor understood what the CO was asking of him. This obviously meant there would be a considerable amount of work for the Chief Medical Officer. Having to check over the 557 people on the Mezzanine was sure going to take the Doctor some time.

Bridge - Deck 1

The Captain was pleased that Cmdr Ashborn was made aware of what to do once they beamed over to the Galactic Princess. While remaining in his seat on the Bridge, Daqtorgh addressed the Chief Ops Officer.

Capt Daqtorgh: Mr. Mitchell, does the ship's manifest say anything about the races of crew and passengers? Also, find out the ETA of the transport vessels from Starbase 34.

Taping his Combadge once more, the Captain contacted his XO again...

Capt Daqtorgh: Daqtorgh to Commander Ashborn! When you board and search the Galactic Princess, any high ranking crew or dignitaries can be brought on board Whitestar. It will be your job to sort out which ones we bring aboard and the ones who go on the transports.

Daqtorgh turned towards Ens Garcia next...

Capt Daqtorgh: Ensign, depending on who Commander Ashborn encounters...you may need to be called on to use your hospitality talents setting up with Guest Quarters for them.

Looking forward towards the Flight Control Station, the Captain made another inquiry of Lt. Thomas.

Capt Daqtorgh: Mr. Thomas, what's our ETA to intercept?

While waiting for an updated ETA from the Lieutenant, Daqtorgh turned towards his Chief Sec/Tac Officer.

Capt Daqtorgh: Mr. Wolf, upon word from Mr. Thomas that we have intercepted the Galactic Princess and are alongside it, I want us to go to Yellow Alert, all hands to stations then engage the Tractor Beam and begin the process of taking the Cruise Ship out of Warp.

The Captain realized the Doctor was going to need equipment to remove any Xenomorph embryos so he tapped his Combadge and called out to his Chief Medical Officer down in the Transporter Room.

Capt Daqtorgh: Daqtorgh to Dr. Tudismaque! Upon arriving on the mezzanine floor, set up the facilities you need to extract any embryos! Make the mezzanine a Level 1 Containment Area, under my orders!

With all that the CO had ordered, Daqtorgh sat back in his chair and awaited his instructions to be carried out.
