The Captain looked towards LtCmdr Boffi at the Ops Station and gave him the word Michaelangelo was waiting for! In a loud, clear voice, David instructed the Chief Operations Officer to proceed with the transportation of the last group of 40 refugees to Holodeck 1. The next group would be going to Holodeck 2, until that was full. Since they had 5 Holodecks, they would be able to fit 120 refugees in each making a total of 600 altogether.
Capt Calzada:
Mr. Boffi, beam those forty kids up to Holodeck One!
The CO waited to hear the confirmation from both LtCmdr Boffi, that the children were beamed up, and from Ens McKenna, to confirm the kids made it to Holodeck 1 safe and sound. David couldn't wait until the tedious procedure was finally completed and they had the maximum occupancy of children in their 5 Holodecks. Capt Calzada was pleased that Ens McKenna had a handle on things. The Captain was always uncomfortable around children, so he preferred not to have any direct contact with them. It's just the way David felt, so he was happy to have someone else deal with the kids in the lower decks. _________________

Doing exactly as the Captain ordered, Michaelangelo used his console to beam the 40 child refugees up from the extraction site on New Bajor, directly to Holodeck 1, where Ens Montoya, Dr. Jovic and Counselor Arrayah could care for them. LtCmdr Boffi let Capt Calzada know the children were now off the surface and the next person the Captain should hear from would be the Yeoman, indicating the children had arrived in the Holodeck safely.
Lt. Commander Boffi:
All forty of the children who were within the Transporter Enhancers were beamed off the surface, Captain! They should be in Holodeck One now, Sir!
The Chief Ops Officer listened for the Yeoman's call to the Bridge to indicate that all 40 child refugees had safely arrived on Holodeck 1. While doing so, Michaelangelo continued to scan the entire area around the extraction site for any movement from what would be considered Xenomorphs approaching the area where the children were waiting to be taken off the planet to the Starships in a geosynchronous orbit above New Rakantha. _________________

Jeremy watched as the child refugees materialized in the clearing on Holodeck 1. As expected, they were saturated from the ongoing rain down at the extraction site due to the weather control system malfunctioning. The Ensign brought them towels so they could dry off and instructed them to change into warm dry robes that were by the unoccupied beds Jeremy created for them to use on their way back to SB34.
Ens McKenna:
Welcome aboard the USS Oriskany. I'm Ensign Jeremy McKenna, here to assist you with your needs while you're guests aboard our Starship. This is Dr. Jovic and over there is Counselor Arrayah, if you have any injuries, the Doctor will be able to assist you with them and if you need somebody to talk to about what you experienced down there, Counselor Arrayah is here to listen. I have some warm towels here for you to use, so get dry and change into those robes by the beds. I'll make you all some Bajoran Alphabet Soup to consume and help really warm you up.
Tapping his Combadge, Jeremy called up to the Bridge to let them know the refugees had arrived safe and sound.
Ens McKenna:
McKenna to Bridge! The children arrived safe and sound, they're warming up with towels and changing into the robes I replicated for them to wear. I'm going to make another batch of soup for them and then I'm off to Holodeck Two, to get it ready for the next hundred and twenty refugees. I'll contact you as soon as the next Holodeck is ready, McKenna out!
The Yeoman went to the Replicator and made the Bajoran Alphabet Soup and placed the pot and bowls on a anti-grav cart and brought it over to the children and served them all a warm bowl of soup so help heat up their insides. Once all 40 of the newcomers had bowls in their hands and spoons in the other, Jeremy felt relieved that the Holodeck was filled with happy children for the time being. When the Ensign saw that Dr. Jovic and Counselor Arrayah had control over all the children, Jeremy exited Holodeck 1 and proceeded to Holodeck 2 to prepare it for the next 120 refugees to come up from the wet surface below. _________________

The Doctor went over to the new arrivals and with the assistance of her staff, Dr. Jovic began the examination process of the children who recently arrived. Other than some minor abrasions, lacerations, and borderline malnutrition, the child refugees were doing well. Dragana knew that Jeremy made sure the soup he served all the children was laced with vitamin supplements so all of them would be getting all the nutrition they needed for the time being. Looking over towards LtCmdr Arrayah, Dr. Jovic let her know the first group of child refugees were available to be consoled.
Cmdr Jovic:
Counselor, the children over here could use your expertise. They had some really traumatic experiences they need to talk to you about.
The Chief Medical Officer moved over to the next group of children and began examining them and treating their abrasions and lacerations. Since they were already enjoying the Bajoran Alphabet Soup that Ens McKenna had made for them, Dragana didn't need to use a Hypospray to inject vitamin supplements into their bloodstreams. The process of going over the injuries of the children wouldn't take the Doctor very long to treat them all since they were all minor. Dr. Jovic finished the final group of children and waited on Counselor Arrayah to speak to all of the child refugees to make sure they were doing fine mentally before the Romulan Doctor would recommend they join the Yeoman in Holodeck 2 to treat the next group to arrive on Oriskany. Dragana would wait until the children were asleep before she would have a member of her staff remain behind to watch over the sleeping children. Until then, Dr. Jovic waited on LtCmdr Arrayah to help the child refugees get comfortable enough to fall asleep. _________________

Holodeck 2 - Deck 4

Jeremy entered the second Holodeck and started off by telling the computer to create the bunkbeds in the same layout out that was done for Holodeck 1. Once the beds were made to accommodate all 120 refugees, the Ensign had the computer make the robes necessary to warm the children when they got undressed from their wet clothing once they transported up from the surface of New Bajor. Before Jeremy used the Holodeck to create the Bajoran Alphabet Soup to give the warmth and nutrition to the child refugees, the Ensign figured it would be best to wait until they arrived so the soup wouldn't cool off too much while it waited to be consumed from the certainly hungry children. Since Holodeck 2 was now ready to receive the refugees, Jeremy tapped his Combadge to call out to Capt Calzada on the Bridge.
Ens McKenna:
McKenna to Bridge! I've got Holodeck Two ready, Captain! Dr. Jovic and her staff along with Counselor Arrayah should be joining me shortly.
The Yeoman waited in Holodeck 2 for Dr. Jovic, Counselor Arrayah and the Doctor's staff to enter the Holodeck, while also awaiting a response from the Captain. Jeremy knew it wouldn't be long before the next group of child refugees beamed into the room and would be getting out of their saturated clothes and putting on the warm, dry robes. Once the next group of 40 kids arrived, the Yeoman would start serving the soup he knew they would enjoy. Now all Ens McKenna needed to do was wait on their arrival, along with having Dr. Jovic, Counselor Arrayah and the medical personnel enter Holodeck 2 to help the children, both medically and mentally. _________________

David heard the voice of Ens McKenna in Holodeck 2, announcing that he was ready for another group of refugees to transport up from the extraction site on New Bajor. Tapping his Combadge, the Captain responded to the Yeoman...
Capt Calzada:
Calzada here! Understood, Mr. McKenna! I'll inform you when another batch is coming your way! Bridge out!
Looking over towards the Ops Officer, David ordered LtCmdr Boffi to contact the surface and inquire about the next group of 40 to beam up.
Capt Calzada:
Mr. Boffi, find out if the next group of forty refugees are ready for transport to Holodeck Two. As soon as you get the clear sign, go ahead and beam them up to Oriskany. We really need to find a faster way to get all those people up here. See if you can figure something out, I'd appreciate it.
The CO waited on hearing back from LtCmdr Boffi regarding the next group to come up from New Bajor. David didn't want to bring the refugees to the ship at only 40 at a time. Capt Calzada knew that Michaelangelo was quite crafty when it came to his ideas, so the Chief Operations Officer should be able to come up with a better way to get more of those wet children up to Oriskany using a faster method. _________________
