The Lieutenant was assisting the male refugees remove their wet clothing when the Counselor arrived. LtCmdr Elbrun began assisting the females remove their wet clothing and together they both put warm robes on the children. After they were all in the dry robes, Jansen tapped his Combadge and called to the Bridge.

Lt. Panettiere: Yeoman Panettiere to Bridge! The refugees are all here and Counselor Elbrun and I are helping them out of their wet clothes and into dry robes. When they're all done, we'll get them fed and let them all get some rest.

Jansen stood so he could be seen by all the changing children and made an announcement to the crowd of refugees that hadn't been separated into the other Holodeck yet.

Lt. Panettiere: Hello everybody! I'm Lieutenant Jansen Panettiere, Yeoman here aboard the USS Infiniti! After you're all dried and warmed up, we'll separate you into different Holodecks where you can get some food and rest while we get back to Starbase 34! If you have anything you need to discuss with either myself or our Counselor, Lieutenant Commander Kestra Elbrun, please don't hesitate to speak to us!

The Yeoman went back to assisting the boys change out of their wet clothes and into warm robes as he looked over towards the Counselor, who was doing the same for the girls. Jansen knew it wouldn't take too much time before they were ready to be separated into Holodeck 2 where bunks were also set up. Once the refugees were in there, they would get something to eat from the replicators along the walls that were available to them. Lt. Panettiere was pleased that so far, everything was going well. The Yeoman had faith in Dr. Sarrlak's training, that no Xenomorph embryos made it aboard Infiniti in the chests of any of the children.

When the Commodore heard the Yeoman's voice calling up from Deck 6, it brought a smile to his face. E.J. really enjoyed having Jansen aboard Infiniti, he couldn't help but reminisce about all the events they've been through together since the Yeoman was just a youngster on his first Star Cadet mission. Como Carpathia tapped the Companel on his chair and replied to the Lieutenant.

Como Carpathia: Acknowledged, Mr. Panettiere! Keep up the excellent work!

As the CO looked around the Bridge at the other officers smiling as well, E.J. noticed MCpt Lopez standing there between the Sec/Tac and Ops Stations at the rear of the Command Deck. Speaking up, the Commodore addressed the Marine Captain as he stood from the COs Chair.

Como Carpathia: Hey Chris! How'd everything go down there? Any casualties I need to be made aware of?

While awaiting a response, Como Carpathia walked over to Lt. Florenté at the Flight Control Stations and let him know it was time to take Infiniti back up out of the atmosphere.

Como Carpathia: Well Joey, it's time to get us up and out of here! Break for high orbit, Lieutenant.

Looking over towards his XO, E.J. smiled and gave Cmdr Delgado a nod to deal with what needed to be done as the CO spoke with MCpt Lopez in the Ready Room. The Commodore waited on the Marine Captain to walk ahead of the CO and enter the private office of Infiniti's Commanding Officer. That way Chris could speak with E.J. privately and not in front of everyone on the Bridge.

Chris nodded to the Commodore as he entered the Ready Room so he could speak more candidly about what went on down at the extraction site. MCpt Lopez was thrilled to be back up on Infiniti and out of the muck and mud that covered the area where they were on the surface. The Marine Captain felt somewhat self conscious about not cleaning up once he exited the ISSCV and decided to come to the Bridge first in order to speak with Como Carpathia.

MCpt Lopez: First off, Commodore, let me apologize for not getting cleaned up before coming to the Bridge to speak with you. Things were really scary for the children down there. I never told them about the report from Captain Vansen that they had indeed engaged the Xenomorphs. I know the kids would've scattered like rats in the rain. Dr. Sarrlak was able to quickly scan each child before they were beamed up so we shouldn't have any surprise births coming out of anyone's chest on the way back to Starbase 34. I suggest that now that we'll be moving to a higher orbit, we have the Wildcards leave the immediate area and land on the ship they've been assigned to since Whitestar left the system.

As the Marine Detachment Commander waited on Como Carpathia to respond to all that he from Chris, the Marine Captain was as least pleased that he wasn't getting mud on the carpet in the Commodore's Ready Room. MCpt Lopez would've been very embarrassed had he dishonored himself that way. Chris stood before Como Carpathia's desk while waiting for the CO to take his seat behind it and address MCpt Lopez as he saw fit.

As the Commodore walked behind his desk and sat in his chair behind it, E.J. listened to all Chris had to say. The first thing Como Carpathia addressed was the fact that MCpt Lopez was still dirty from being on the muddy surface of the extraction site. Since the carpet showed no signs of dirt from the Marine Captain's boots, E.J. really wasn't upset and let MCpt Lopez know about it.

Como Carpathia: Don't worry about that, Chris. I'm really happy that we were able to get all the child refugees off New Bajor and Dr. Sarrlak was able to check them all over before we beamed them to the ships in orbit and to Infiniti...and you're right about the Wildcards, it's time for them to get to the Flight Deck of Sutherland.

Tapping his Combadge, E.J. called to Aléjandro on the Bridge so the XO could see to it that Sutherland was informed to call the SA-43X's to their temporary home.

Como Carpathia: Carpathia to Commander Delgado! Inform Sutherland that it's time to recall the Wildcards! Carpathia out!

Nodding to MCpt Lopez to indicate that all was taken care of, regarding the SFMC pilots, E.J. continued speaking with Chris about what went down on the planet now doomed to be rebooted by the Admiral's Genesis Device currently aboard Explorer. Once the device was detonated, it would be the end of every living thing on New Bajor. But vegetation and possibly animal life would return in a matter of time. What wouldn't be returning was any Xenomorphic life. But in time Bajorans would be able to rebuild and resettle the planet, with stricter guidelines on how to avoid an infestation of this magnitude.

Hearing the Commodore's message from the Ready Room, Aléjandro immediately stood up from the XO's chair on the Bridge and spoke aloud to LtCmdr Trylon at the Ops Station. After doing so, Cmdr Delgado spoke to Lt. Florenté at the Flight Control Station regarding the moving of Infiniti to a higher orbit, aside Oriskany and Eureka.

Cmdr Delgado: William, contact Oriskany and let General Alderez know to call the Wildcards back to the Flight Deck they've got ready for them. Joey, once we're in a higher orbit alongside Oriskany and Eureka, let me know!

The XO waited on a response from LtCmdr Trylon and Lt. Florenté on what Cmdr Delgado had just informed them of. Infiniti was already beginning to ascend slowly through the atmosphere, so it wouldn't be long before they were once again in space. At the speed they were ascending above the cloud layer, the wet hull would dry quickly from the blast of the winds. By the time the Intrepid Class Starship would be in space, the surface would be dry, preventing any ice from forming.

William immediately did what Cmdr Delgado ordered him to do. LtCmdr Trylon sent a message to Sutherland to inform MGen Alderez that it was time to bring the Wildcards aboard the Nebula Class Starship and standby to Warp out of the system.

Lt. Commander Trylon: Aye, Sir! Message has been sent to Sutherland, Commander!

As the Chief Operations Officer watched over his station, William paid special attention to the moisture on the hull of Infiniti. Once the exterior was completely dry, LtCmdr Trylon would inform the XO there was no chance of ice forming on the hull.

The Lieutenant did as he was ordered to by Como Carpathia and brought Infiniti out of the atmosphere of New Bajor and into a higher orbit along with Oriskany and Eureka. Joey figured Sutherland was still in a lower orbit as they needed to wait on the 58th Squadron to dock inside the dorsal flight deck that was outfitted for the SA-43X's when Sutherland was on it's first mission in the Gamma Quadrant under Capt Marino.

Lt. Florenté: We've moved into a higher orbit, alongside both Oriskany and Eureka, Commander! I'm getting the Warp Engines prepared for the order to head back to Starbase 34! Since we had to vent all the Warp Plasma before we went down there to the extraction site!

The Chief Flight Control Officer maintained the higher orbit and was now to the port side of the USS Eureka, making the California Class vessel in the center between Oriskany and Infiniti. All four ships would be waiting to hear from Adm Arayuss who was aboard the USS Explorer when it was time to break orbit and head for SB34 at their best possible speeds. Joey was looking forward to knowing all the Xenomorphs were destroyed by the Genesis Effect to be detonated by the Admiral.

E.J. nodded towards MCpt Lopez and let the Marine Captain know he had done an excellent job and could return to the Marine area of Infiniti so Chris could get himself cleaned up. The Commodore rose up and shook the Marine Detachment Commander's hand as he spoke...

Como Carpathia: Chris, you did an outstanding job down there! You didn't lose a single Marine or any medical personnel the whole time you were down there. Not to mention all the children you and your Marines protected before we beamed them all out of there and up to Eureka, Oriskany, Sutherland, and Infiniti of course. I'm going back out on the Bridge and you can head on down to the showers and get cleaned up and put a fresh uniform on. Do let the Squad know I appreciate their hard work keeping the kids safe. We can chat more later on when we get to Starbase 34.

The CO exited his Ready Room and looked over at Cmdr Delgado and inquired on the status of Infiniti and anything else going on aboard the ship.

Como Carpathia: What's our status, Number One?

E.J. took the CO's chair seeing that his XO was still standing by the Ops Station, and let out a sigh of relief. Como Carpathia always felt at ease while sitting in the Command Chair. There was no place he'd rather be and no position in Starfleet that E.J. sought after. The Commodore was often worried that he would get promoted to Rear Admiral and made Chief of Fleet Operations since VAdm Martinelli got promoted from being a Rear Admiral. E.J. knew Adm Arayuss wanted to have a Deputy Commander-in-Chief but didn't want to leave the Chief of Fleet Operations vacant. So there was plenty for E.J. to worry about.

The First Officer went down to the area where the CO was seated and responded to his inquiry by giving him the current status report.

Cmdr Delgado: Thanks to Joey, the ship is now in a higher orbit alongside Eureka, Oriskany and Sutherland. We're waiting on Admiral Arayuss to give us the word to break orbit and head back over to SB34. Our acceleration through the atmosphere allowed the outer hull to dry from the rain, so there's no ice out there. The Warp Plasma is regenerating after being vented before we went down to the extraction site. It should be ready in a matter of moments.

The XO took his seat on the other side of the Center Console between where the CO and Aléjandro sat. In anticipation of hearing from their Chief Engineer that the Warp Engines were ready and the plasma restored, the XO contacted Main Engineering via text message on the console between him and Como Carpathia, to Jamie's console requesting to know when all would be at the ready.

The Commodore heard the status report from Cmdr Delgado and was quite pleased with the efficiency of his crew. Looking over towards Lt. Florenté at the Flight Control Station, E.J. expressed his appreciation to the young officer.

Como Carpathia: Thank you for putting some distance between us and the surface of that forsaken place, Joey! I really appreciate it!

E.J. looked at his XO and a longtime friend and thanked him for the excellent news contained in the status report.

Como Carpathia: That is awesome news, Aléjandro! As soon as we get the word from Admiral Arayuss, we can leave the system and get back to our Starbase!

The CO smiled at his XO as they waited to hear from Adm Arayuss on the readiness for departure from the system. E.J. really wanted to get the Hell out of Dodge, so to say. Having had a run in with a Xenomorph before, that almost took the lives of his Yeoman and Chief Ops Officer, Como Carpathia could hardly wait to get back to SB34.
