Moving quickly throughout the different levels of Engineering, Jamie was making sure the Warp Engines would be ready to go when the CO gave the order for Warp Speed. Glancing down at an Engineering Console he was logged into, the Chief Petty Officer saw the message from the XO. Quickening their pace, Jamie and the other members of the Engineering Staff got the plasma back up to par in the engines. Tapping the Combadge on his tunic, he called out to the Bridge.

CPO Florenté: Engineering to Bridge! Warp Plasma has been reestablished to the optimal level! Warp Speed available at your command!

The Chief Engineer made sure the Warp Core was operating at full power so they could make the jump to Warp Speed as soon as the Commodore gave the command. Jamie was looking forward to getting out of this system and away from this planet. The Chief had heard stories from Lt. Panettiere on what it was like to deal with a Xenomorph, and CPO Florenté had no desire to deal with the same situation.

As the Commodore was sitting in the CO's chair, he heard CPO Florenté call up from Main Engineering that the Warp Plasma was already through the Intermixers and standing by to engage in Warp Speed back to SB34. Tapping his Combadge, E.J. called down to Jamie and replied to the good news the Chief Petty Officer supplied.

Como Carpathia: That's wonderful, Jamie! Once we get the word from Admiral Arayuss that it's time to go, we'll be warpin' out of here in a moment's notice! Bridge out!

Looking up over his left shoulder where the Ops Station was, E.J. called out to LtCmdr Trylon on what was happening aboard the USS Explorer.

Como Carpathia: William, what's the status on Explorer? Has the Admiral began to descend to the surface?

The CO waited on a response from the Chief Ops Officer on whether or not Explorer began to descend toward the surface of New Bajor so it could deploy the Genesis Device. Hopefully they would all be hearing from Adm Arayuss shortly that they could start their departure from the doomed planet that would be reborn into a artificially created paradise.

William did as the Commodore had commanded and checked on the location of the USS Explorer. It was still in a lower orbit below the other vessels that were in the uppermost orbit from the surface of New Bajor. LtCmdr Trylon saw that Adm Arayuss was transmitting to all the vessels his intentions for the planet below. William announced that the Admiral was addressing them all and put the CinC on the speakers.

Lt. Commander Trylon: Commodore, the Admiral is transmitting from Explorer now!

Adm Arayuss: This is Admiral Arayuss, I'm heading down to a lower altitude here aboard Explorer to place the Genesis Device where the Xenomorphs cannot meddle with it. I've been looking for an isolated area where there is nothing around and I have located a few prospects. Since the Genesis Wave would be planet wide, I can even choose a location in the polar regions. Be that as it may, this is the news you've all been waiting for...make way for Starbase 34, best possible speed! Arayuss out.

When the Admiral closed the channel, Explorer began its descent for the northern polar area and disappeared below the cloud cover.

Lt. Commander Trylon: The Admiral has closed the channel and begun his descent, Commodore!

The Chief Operations Officer kept the sensors on New Bajor to see if they could detect the build-up of the Genesis Wave, that way William could inform Como Carpathia when the Genesis Device had been deployed. LtCmdr Trylon was relieved to hear Adm Arayuss order the fleet to head back to SB34, that way they would all be safe and the children could be reunited with relative from Bajor.

E.J. nodded in acknowledgement as he gave orders to Lt. Florenté to get Infiniti moving towards SB34. The Commodore was a little unsure about leaving his friend behind to detonate the Genesis Device on his own, but knew Adm Arayuss was more than competent in such matters.

Como Carpathia: Joey, the word has been given! Warp Eight to Starbase 34! Engage!

The CO could see that all eyes were on the Lieutenant's shoulders as everyone on the Bridge was waiting on the Flight Control Officer to engage the Warp Engines and get Infiniti moving very quickly for their home base in the Gamma Quadrant.

The Lieutenant did as Como Carpathia commanded and engaged the Warp Drive to the speed indicated in the Commodore's order. In a matter of seconds Infiniti was moving at Warp 8 and on its way to SB34. Joey let Como Carpathia know that his orders were followed to the letter.

Lt. Florenté: We're en route to Starbase 34 at Warp Eight, Commodore! Our estimated time of arrival is two hours, forty five minutes to the outer markers.! It won't be long until we're under Approach Control's management and we're back in our berth, Sir.

The Chief Flight Control Officer was very happy to be moving so quickly away from New Bajor considering all that went down there. Lt. Florenté remembered what Jansen went through to flush a Xenomorph out of the Impulse Exhaust Manifold. How it burst its way out of LtCmdr Trylon's abdomen and went into a vent on the Mess Hall floor, and how Jansen went into the ventilation system to chase it down. Joey couldn't imagine what the child refugees had been through, losing parents and loved ones to those creatures. The fact that they would soon be reunited with family back on SB34 was very reassuring to say the least.

As Infiniti quickly moved towards SB34, William used the rear sensor palette to monitor New Bajor. From their distance, LtCmdr Trylon could detect the Genesis wave building up to detonate! There was no sign of Explorer anywhere on the scanners! The only thing William could think of is that Adm Arayuss landed his ship on the planet and hasn't lifted off yet and the Genesis wave was distorting the reading on Explorer.

Lt. Commander Trylon: Commodore, the Genesis wave is building up to detonate! There's no sign of Explorer yet, but that could be due to Genesis wave interference! Perhaps the Admiral landed Explorer in a polar region!

The Chief Operations Officer kept a keen eye on the aft sensors to watch for Explorer to emerge from beyond the Genesis wave. This way William could inform Como Carpathia that his friend was safely on his way back to SB34 aboard the other modified Intrepid Class Starship. LtCmdr Trylon was still a little worried that Adm Arayuss and Explorer was out of contact because of the interference from the Genesis Device. But the Lieutenant Commander held onto hope they would show up on the scanners soon.
